  1. I tend to be a massive fangirl, able to become obsessed at a moments notice~ When watching a show I can easily fall in love with the main character in a few episodes, if it's a truly great character than maybe just one episode is all it will take, although I did become completely obsessed with a main character in about 0.2 seconds when watching one show ... I guess it just depends. I fangirl with my roomie mostly, we both seem to enjoy the same shows and love the same characters so it's a win-win, although he doesn't really get as hyped as me when we discuss said characters. I also have a problem with ranting ... If I find a character I like you can expect a rant within a day, maybe even an hour, because that is what I do. I see a character, I connect with said character, I invest my entire emotional state into loving this character, and then I will go rant to anyone who will listen and tell them exactly why this character is the best and deserves to be adored. (These rants usually consist of at least 12 different reasons you should like this character too) When fangirling with other people face to face I will usually start off just rambling on about how great the character is, if they then disagree with me I will instantly go into defend mode and give them all 212 reasons why they're wrong and the character is amazing, if they do agree with me but bring up a scene or moment in the show where my character was wronged in any way I will instantly go into protect mode and rant for an hour about why said character didn't deserve it ... I protect and defend these characters because I love them, fictional characters are the only people I can relate too (Because I never talk to real people) and therefor my entire emotional state is invested in them.
  2. @existentiallylostdumbell I personally think that striving towards something we see as worth our time is somewhat just hoping again, hoping that we're right, hoping that it's something we really need to do, and I dislike throwing everything away and just hoping that the purpose we give ourselves is enough ... I'm glad to hear you're planning on doing a bit of research on religion though.
  3. When watching a Tv show or reading a book, how long does it usually take for you to become obsessed with the story or a character? Do you rarely ever get obsessed with characters, or do you have so many characters you love that you can barely remember them all? What kind of a fangirl are you? The kind that silently obsesses about their favorite characters, the kind that outwardly expresses their fangirling with squeals or such other things, or maybe you're the kind that only obsesses mildly and enjoys chatting with others in a normal way about your favorite characters ... Either way, feel free to talk about your favorite characters/plots and talk about how much of a fangirl you are, in this thread. Go ahead and fangirl over anything, anime related or not. Now, let the fangirling ... BEGIN!
  4. @SAO LILDOOP Heh, I was actually going to post that exact fight scene from The 100 ... Roan becomes King -The 100
  5. @existentiallylostdumbell I think you're taking this the wrong way, I do not see my life as worthless because I haven't done some life changing thing, I just see life as pointless because as the Bible says: "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." -Ecclesiastes 1:9 Everything that "Changes" because of inventors, or presidents, isn't truly new ... We go around in circles, creating and destroying our works. Humans live in a world that will never be perfect, and will be destroying itself most likely. Now, you seem to think that I'm saying life is worthless therefor just do nothing because why bother? I'm actually just trying to get the point across that without religion, we're all just living a life that doesn't even matter in the end ... What is the point of that? I see life as a test, a game, and a war ... We're tested by the Devil each and every day, we then give our results to God. The game is trying to defeat our demons, trying to over come them, while also helping others over come theirs. The war is between those we can not see, as described in the Bible: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." -Ephesians 6:12 Now, although some humans have "Changed the world" with their inventions and such, are you sure they really did? The Bible says nothing is new under the sun, and as I said before, humanity just destroys their own creations time and time again ... This world is one that will go in circles, destroying and building, fighting and killing, and all humanity just following their own selfish whims because they think life was just a chance mistake and we're all able to do whatever we want ... Life without religion is a dark one, one where everyone does as they wish because what else could the point of life possibly be if not to please yourself?
  6. @existentiallylostdumbell Hope is just ignorance to the facts around us ... It's basing everything off dreams, off aspirations, instead of taking in the horrible facts that surround us each and every day. Now, as I mentioned before, humans impact humans. We may change one another's views on society, on friendship, or even just on what to eat for dinner, but here is my question, once again ... Does it really matter what we, as humans, do with our lives? Tell me, what purpose do we have? Are we meant to just live, die, and then fade into the abyss? Are we meant to change the world, or maybe make sure it stays the same? Are we just wandering a earth that just so happened to form from nothing during the evolution? Why do we matter more than animals if we both just evolved? Do humans even understand the concept of life? Is so, how do they think we all just happened to become the living, breathing, thinking, creatures we are today? Questions need answers, answers based of facts, logic, and the knowledge that hope has nothing to do with anything ... It hinders our out look on the world and keeps us in the cage that we call life because we want to feel like life is worth everything, like humans are good creatures (Which they most definitely are not), our sense of hope is just a crutch that makes us feel like we can do anything ... A lot of non-religious people say they have hope, that they have faith, that humans are good people, but in reality ... Humans are never good. Some may strive to be better than others, some may be as good as they can, but no one is truly good. To answer the first line of your reply: My reason for living is not to be better than anyone, but to change the world? If I could do so, I would. That is quiet a stretch though and I know that, I know my whole argument about changing the world is virtually impossible for almost anyone but, that is exactly why I made that point. Humans have no purpose other than to live, die, and make it to the after life. I myself am a religious person, and find that human life is just the pre-game before the actual meaningful life. Your response was quiet like I was expecting, trying to show that humans don't have to impact the world they just have to impact one another. So ... All we can really hope to do is impact someone who will then just die same as us? What is the point? Why would we even be here if we were just meant to die? The only purpose we have is to impact others, but not with just a nice remark, or even with a friendship ... We're meant to save others, to lead them to the truth. Religion is the only thing that gives life meaning, without it we'd all just be "evolved" creatures that slightly impacted others before dying off ... I don't see the worth in that.
  7. Mm, look forward to seeing your response.
  8. @existentiallylostdumbell The human world is made up of experiences and decisions, yet what difference do our decisions make? Do they alter anything? If so, is what they altered important? Most of us live boring lives, just surviving on the daily routine of work and sleep, where does worth fit into the robot like lifestyle we all live? I may sound cynical and that I am, but perhaps it's something beyond that ... Knowledge leads to cynical thinking, because once we uncover new knowledge it leads to seeing the dark, twisted, cynical life that all humans live. Even those who appear to over come the boring lifestyle of the civilians who live just like us, never really make a change ... The leaders of our countries always end up forgetting those promises they made during their campaigns, why? Because we're not used to change. Humans are used to routine, having our hopes let down, dying for a country that will never change, and living a meaningless life where all our decisions and experiences mean absolutely nothing in the long run, we all just live and die ... We never truly impact anything, even those who loved us, or respect us, even those who hate us, what does our existence mean to them? We're just another human, another cog in the machine, when we die will they remember us? Probably, but what good does that do? Will they go on to change the world in a way that without your impact they wouldn't have? No. They probably won't even impact the world in any way, other than leaving a memory of themselves with yet another human who will just continue the cycle of their robotic like, meaningless, unchanging life. So, I still see human life as meaningless ... My definition of worthless in my previous post just means that us as humans never do anything worth knowing. Take a look at your life, could you write a book that would keep the readers on the edge of their seats that is based purely of the events of your life? What about a book that made people rethink everything they knew? What about one that would change their lives even just slightly? Think. Just think for one moment, is their a single event in your life that has changed anything? Anything important, not just the way another human views you ... Yes? No? If so, what was it? How much of an impact did it have on this world? If no, do you think you could ever make such an impact? Now, I know I sound very cynical and just down right depressing but knowledge is a curse. Knowing just how dark and pointless life is something most people are, and wish to stay, ignorant to.
  9. I missed out on the last one of these games but I'd be ecstatic to join this one.
  10. I have a lot of respect for people who use logic, intelligence, and words to fight. Although strength is quiet impressive I find a great mind to be even more impressive, for instance ... Most fictional characters in books I've read use their strength and fighting abilities to protect themselves and others, but the characters who barely ever even take up a weapon and instead use their smart words and wit to defeat the enemy was always more impressive to me. Also, like @Cy~ said ... I also have a lot of respect for people who could get back up after a mental or psychical break. Those who can hide their emotions and show almost nothing in their expression even when they hurting are some of the most impressive people to me, I've always wished I could hide my emotions better.
  11. 1. Whats something you want everyone to have in the world? The knowledge that life is worthless and that we as human beings shouldn't be so selfish. 2. How would you end all wars? What can one person do against a world of war and hate? Changing peoples perspective on life isn't easy, most people would rather die than bow to someone else's orders. 3. Whats your favorite animal? A wolf, definitely. I absolutely love 'em. 4. Whats your favorite vehicle? Eh, I'm not really sure ... I guess I'd go with a motorcycle though since I love how sleek and beautiful they look. 5. How do you deal with sadness? I usually just block out my thoughts with music ... 6. Would you help someone on AF if they were depressed? Of course, although I'm not sure how much I could help ... 7. Whats your hobby's? Writing, day dreaming, a bit of drawing although I'm no good at it. 8. Who's got it harder men or women? I never take sides on this question, who can really be sure? 9. Whats the best joke you have ever heard? Pretty much any joke my Onii-chan makes ... He has the same sick, twisted sense of humour I do so it works out quiet well. 10. *Your own fact about yourself* I've wanted to be an actress ever since I was a young child, although I've never got the chance to get any experience in that field of work ...
  12. When I was younger I always told my Mom that I wanted to a waitress, she thought it was strange since I was so deathly scared of interacting with people. She didn't realize I just wanted to wear a maid dress and act cute ... Although, I do agree with you, I'd probably end up getting at least one customer who made me want to go die in a hole somewhere.

    Shyness?

I'm really bad at starting conversations ... Also, I have a hard time actually expressing my "strange" side when around anyone but my older Brother who's a lot like me as well.
  14. Nope, it was actually 3. I'm gonna guess 2 is true ... 1. I'm quiet obsessed with fashion/good clothing. 2. I dislike horror movies/shows. 3. I've never been on a plane. (correct answer was actually 1.)
  15. I'm just gonna say Deadpool even though he's technically a "Anti-hero" ... Doesn't matter, I love 'I'm so much!
  16. Correct. I'm gonna guess #2? 1. I'm a morning person. 2. I have never had any really bad injuries. 3. I almost never express my true opinion.
  17. Hmm ... My ability to be mature and sophisticated when need be, while also being cute and childish when I feel like it. My minds' weird way of thinking, even though it's different than most "normal" peoples way of thinking. The way I can hold back my emotions, this helps me keep from starting fights even when I really want to. Now, if you could have one super power, what would it be?
  18. It's actually #2, I currently don't own a dog although I'd love to have one. I'm gonna guess #3 is correct? 1. I don't read very much. 2. I have massive trust issues. 3. I have dyed my hair at least once.
  19. Yep correct. I'm guessing #1 is true? 1. I own a dog. 2. I love wearing hoodies. 3. I've been in a relationship.
  20. Granted, but everyone will debate without actual facts from now on and instead argue based on just their opinions. I wish I was a better artist.
  21. Granted, but your least favorite wins. I wish I had a friend.
  22. Granted, but you always end up being too anxious to even try and do the things you want to do. I wish I was cute.
  23. Granted, but you will gradually lose all memory of the time you original came from and be unable to return. I wish I could be happy.
  24. Granted, but you're completely ignorant/unaware of anyone but yourself. I wish I was more creative.
  25. Granted, but everyone can see what you're thinking upon your first meeting. I wish the world was more peaceful.
