  1. As it stands at this point, Angel Beats is on top. I think I've seen the show six time at the very least . And also, Nagi no Asukara and Ghost Hunt. Rewatched both quite a few times.

Ayy, you're ahead of me. xD I just finished ep8, the regionals arc last night. I'll probably catch up to you. :p

  5. Welcome to AF! Hope you find this place enjoyable and stick around.
  6. Kimi no na wa is about the only movie that will ever make it on my top favourites list, I think. I'm not much into movie length features. I feel like most of the time, most do not live up to the experiences some of the series get to give you. For one, you get to stay and watch the characters grow for a longer period of time with series shows when compared to movie features that would only last for two hours at most. But this..? For a two hour run time, Kimi no na wa was a magical experience in more ways than one. That's all I gonna say. Emotions were riding high. Tension was high. Tears of all kind were shed. And! Most importantly, the sense of relief I got when the ending happens. I have never felt more relieved and carefree after seeing that. Agreed! Solid 10/10 from me too.
  7. We share interest in some titles. I'm looking forward to Steins;Gate 0, Code Geass (it would be interesting to see where they would go with it) and SAO. A few other titles include: Rewrite Tales of Zestiria the X Kuzu no Honkai Chaos;Child No Game No Life (I have no idea if it'll even happen in 2017) Sakura Quest (it's by my favourite studio. I always watch what they put out ) Violet Evergarden and Netsuzou Trap Citrus The last two is something I rarely come across in anime. I have no idea how often yuri happens in manga as I'm almost strictly just an anime-only watcher, and just based on that, I will watch them. (I just hope both won't fail me like Sakura Trick did)
  8. Anything that would make me cry, basically. I just love that feeling when something really gets to you and by the end of the show, you're left with that hollow feeling in your chest like nothing else matters anymore. So far, I can recall about 4-5 shows that made it happen and I'm currently looking for more. Aside from that, horror and thrillers/suspense shows (with a healthy dose of mindfuck on the side) is what I try to look for. Weird niches however, I don't think so.
  9. I love Shelter! It's such a catchy tune to listen to. The video really packs impact for something as short as it is. But anyway, here is my contribution for this day. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueiFtayzUhU
  10. I can't pick. Although, off the top of my head out of the shows I've only recently watched, Hibike Euphonium's stands out. Their winter uniforms look nice. And their summer ones have charm.
  11. WATCHING: Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth

  12. If you're interested, check out D-Frag!. That's basically what jumped straight to mind after reading your post. If you're looking for something that is set outside of a high-school setting, I recommend giving The World is Still Beautiful a spin. I reckon, between the two, you'd find something that you'd like.
  13. I'm a member of the dub club myself. Well, most of the time I'd be watching subbed shows but that's only because I have no choice other than the subs. If a show has a dub at the time I decide to watch it, I won't ever hesitate to watch the dub over the sub.

Ah, nope. I'm not much of a manga reader xD. I'm almost purely anime only watcher. But I've read a few if that means anything xD

It's funny because I've been rewatching it for the second time recently and just decided today to wait till Christmas before continuing my rewatch because I just reached the Christmas episode and want to watch it on a timely day! :P

That's a great idea. :p It's been a long time and to be honest, I don't remember much about the show itself when I started rewatching it recently except for the first episode. I remember it leaving an impression on me the first time around and it just stuck (I'm talking about the stairs scene between Haru and Shizuku). And so far, I'm enjoying it.

  17. That's awesome! I've only recently restarted playing SIF again. I goofed up big time with SIF on my old phone when I forgot to issue a transfer code and went to do a factory reset. But I'm back to playing it now. It's kinda sad losing all those SRs and having to start from square one all over again lol. I haven't heard of the other idol games you've mentioned but I'm gonna take a look. As long as it's something I can understand, I'm sure I can get into it.
  18. Yo, does that mean you're into School Idol Festival, by any chance? And welcome to the community! Hope to have you around for a long time.
  19. Hmm, I could've sworn mine didn't. Is the video from the console versions? I had mine on the PC, the Xtreme Legends one. It could be dubbed on the main game but not dubbed on the expansions, like how DW8 and its Empires is right now. But ehh, it's been long ago. 5 has a special place in my heart for what pure fun it was back then. But yeah, I'd imagine it has aged a bit compared to more modern games and that could deter some people in going back to try it out, especially if it wasn't a game you played back when it first came out.
  20. As far as I know, DW8 is dual audio on Xtreme Legends. It's the one that I have. And yeah, I'm sure 7 wasn't dubbed. They did translate the dialogues into english through game subs, however.
  21. Oh yeah, I actually liked that mechanic. It's like, you actually fight over and use the bases that you take over like what happens in Empires expansions. I kinda hated the defense bases in DW6 though. The guys with the shields constantly keep blocking attacks lol. And I dunno about you, but I haven't played much of DW7 when it came out mainly because no english voices . So DW8 was a huge step up for me compared to DW6 and I liked what they have given us with the installment. The maps were mostly fine, in my opinion. Character wise though, I'm assuming you're a fan of Lu Xun? My favourite in DW5 was actually Ling Tong. His combos were excellent for crowd control, he was pretty much my main officer for the Empires expansion. When 6 came out, I think it was Cao Pi. And then 8 comes around and wow, Xu Shu is op lol. He's my favourite now and I use him as my main officer in 8 Empires. I'm honestly split between Wu and Wei for favourite kingdom. I can't really pick just one
  22. Thank you! I have quite a long list of watched shows so far. But off the top of my head -- Nagi no Asukara, Clannad, Steins;Gate, Your Lie in April and most recently, Kimi no na wa. I think almost all of the shows I watch and come to love tend to be drama/romance as you can see but ehh, all of the shows I've mentioned have earned a rightful place on my list, in my eyes. And yes! I love Key stuff! Ever since I've watched Kanon some years ago, I've always been interested in whatever Key is doing. The first visual novel I've read was actually Rewrite, which is also a Key work. Fantastic VN, in my opinion. I think it took me about a month to finish due to the length but it was so worth it. I assume, you have read it too? So yeah, Akane is, hands down my personal favourite from Rewrite. Shizuru is too cute to resist, though. Her story line was also great and really got to me, at certain points. You probably know what I'm talking about.
  23. Yeah, agreed. So far, we have DW7 and 8 in Kingdom storyline format and to tell you the truth, I'd like for DW9 to be in the same format as well. The character storyline in DW5 is one thing I didn't really like, as it forces you to play through one stage multiple times -- only as a different character just because you wanna unlock the next playable character lol. 5: Empires was great when it came out though, I forgot about all the grinding I had to do in the main game . I probably clocked in more than 100 hrs on Empires alone back then
