I'll bite, tentatively. I've had some less than pleasant experiences with mafia, to be honest - people going at the game with a near hateful intensity, taking it seriously to the point of absurdity, people getting incredibly angry over how things play out, etc. It is a credit to this community that I'm willing to join in, after having to deal with all that sort of thing. As long as people stay chill, and don't lose their heads over the game, it can be fairly absurdly fun. Once that happens, however, it just becomes incredibly stressful to deal with. As for a character, I shall play role as the diligent and delectably delightful Queen Zoop Zooperton VII, ruler of all the lands and people of the great nation of Zoopland, speaker of great wisdoms, eater of great steaks, thinker of great thoughts, puncher of great arseholes, defender of great things, conqueror of great rivals. The one, true ruler, destined to take over the entirety of the multiverse using naught but her own charm, wit, and questionable taste in cinema. Will she be able to root out the nefarious evil that has infested this unfortunate group of low-born peasants that she now finds herself in the midst of? Will she herself fall victim to the creeping corruption that threatens us all? Find out next time on Forum Mafia Zoop. Ahem. Right. Yes. Yeah. Mark me down. I'll give it a go. I'll play the game. Win the points.

Made some slow cooked (in the oven for six hours, wooo) shredded chicken flavored with chipotle peppers for dinner tonight... I'll also be using the liquids leftover from cooking (chicken broth, salsa, etc) to make some rice with. Should make for some very good burritos tonight.

Nothing much to talk about, really - just an occasional emotional up and down. Wrong side of the bed, and all that. I appreciate it, though!

Tired and lacking in energy, as well as somewhat in the dumps for no discernible reason. Sleep will be coming extra-early tonight, to say the least.

Double posting, because I'm honestly confused. At what point did I get drunk, and in an insane, forgotten haze, sell my soul to the devil? Because that's about the only explanation I can come up with for this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhOx-FpEAQk

Nintendo's show had a lot of things that will excite people I think. An actual RPG Pokemon on a (semi-) home console? Metroid Prime 4? ... but, for myself, the Breath of the Wild DLC is still looking good, I think the Yoshi game looks cute, and I want to play Mario Odyssey. Don't really care all that much about the other announcements, so the overall impact of their presentation was more or less wasted on me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Come now, Sekky, why would I ever laugh at you? Questions, hrm.. As one of the first people on this forum to greet me, did you actually expect me to stick around or did you figure I'd bugger off after a week or two? ... AND DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER GREETING ME? DID YOU NOT GIVE ME A SECOND THOUGHT? WAS I JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE FACELESS NOBODIES THAT YOU SAY HI TO, WITHOUT EVER THINKING ABOUT EVER AGAIN?

The member title is a vague reference to Fallen London, a narrative driven online game that plays sort of like a drip-fed visual novel. Fallen London takes place in an alternate 1895 (if I'm not mistaken), in which Queen Victoria sold out the city to metaphorical devils in exchange for the life of Prince Albert, causing the city to sink beneath the surface into an underground chasm of impossible size wherein the laws of reality are only vaguely enforced. Death is generally a temporary nuisance, hell is right down the river, the devils maintain an embassy in London, the best engineers tend to be over sized rats, and you should probably be incredibly concerned if you find yourself becoming unaccountably peckish. More specifically, the member title, forever hurtling toward the Earth, is the translation of a correspondence sigil. As for what the correspondence is, there are a number of theories, though they don't tend to explain the tendency for the sigils to cause anything they're etched on to catch fire: They say it's the letter the Pope wrote, the one without which Rome would have been the Fourth City. They say if you read it your eyes boil and your hair turns the white of old ice They say it's the only way down here you can ever see starlight. They say it's the only sure way to tell the weight of your soul. They say you can see it in Mrs Plenty's mirrors. They say it's the mathematics of Hell. They say it's the geography of Time. They say it's a trap that someone found inscribed on a wall in the First City, and if you decode its complicated patterns you inevitably decide that you're God, to the considerable detriment of your social life. They say it was invented wholesale by a honey-sipper sitting giggling in a cramped and filthy room on Hollow Street, and it's been driving gullible scholars insane ever since. None of these are actually true, of course, but as far as the random lore blurbs that are randomly displayed on the side of the screen while playing go, I find them fairly amusing. There are a couple things that are certain, however - they're etched all over the roof of the neath, and upon the pillars surrounding the avid horizon in the far North. And they were never really intended for human consumption. But, as to the point of why it is my member title ... look, I'll be honest - I'm an utter, worthlessly slobbering, mildly obsessed, complete and utter fanatic for the universe that Fallen London (and Sunless Sea) take place in, as well as the writing style employed within it.

Just gotta say... love your art! Also, Holo is best waifu.

Fair enough, though given that Monster Hunter is apparently going full-on multi platform, I don't know that I'd really count it in the favor. What we should really talk about though, the real MVP of e3, is that fishing game.

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico remakes? Sounds like Sony is off to a strong start tonight. Hopefully those aren't the only two big guns they have in the show, though. [Edit] And ... I guess that was about it, actually.
-
Oh. Well, that is definitely a teensy bit irritating.

I'm curious, why you no like?

Even though most of their stuff doesn't really appeal to me, I can agree that this seems to be the case based on what I've been reading. It'll be very interesting to see what Sony and Nintendo have up their sleeves to compete with. Am I crazy, or is this the third open world sailing game that has been talked about at e3 so far this year? Having picked up Windward (love it!) recently, I'm very okay with this. Beyond Good and Evil never really was my cup of tea, but I gotta say --- regardless if it's my kinda thing or not, I have nothing but respect for the game, and am super excited that the sequel is coming to light. Here's hoping that it lives up to the original!

Same. I just wait for individual articles to crop up.

Gotta say, even as someone who plays games primarily on their PC... the PC Gaming show has always struck me as being a bit unnecessary and silly. Absolutely love this. I can't wait to get my hands all over that game. It's too damn cute. I might have to keep an eye on this one... and I'm cautiously interested in Sea of Thieves. While I don't care about the presentation, I do think this e3 has a bit more for me on PC than normal... that's not really saying a whole lot though.

Watched It Comes at Night on Saturday at a local theater as a palate cleanser for @Cy~ and I's miserable morning. It was ... pretty good. I think it edges - just barely - into a 4.0 out of 5. With that said, I confess, shamefully, that I don't have a whole lot to say about it at the moment.

Just read a bit about Blade Strangers, a cross-over 2.5D fighting game coming to PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, Xbox One and Japanese arcades. Always lovely to hear that the PC fighting game market will be getting some new entries!

Silver spoon? Well, I'm guessing that it costs more than the stainless steel spoon. Other than tha --- Oh. I'm not actually familiar at all with this thing! Enlighten me?
-
I ... don't actually really know! Not particularly! Though, I think that's mostly more to do with a lack of awareness than anything else. I've watched a lot of Korean movies lately though, and have grown fond of the language. Hit me. Not applicable! Show me these things. I tend to gravitate toward girl groups in general, since I find the female voice to be (on average - I do listen to male singers as well) more pleasant to listen to than the male voice. ^^

Club Chaotic expands! It's good to have you with us. A second Avenger appears! Though, that certainly does beg the question - to which God or Goddess have you pledged your service?

Hak was a top-notch character... I really hope the anime gets another season so that we can see him in action more... and so that we can see more of Yona's development. The dragons are great, but... yeah, those two were the best, imo.
-
To be fair, I read the whole thing. I just didn't have enough dramatic flare to respond in kind.
-
Okay, that was a masterful response. Thank you! Never have gotten around to see this one, though it sounds like it may definitely be worth adding to the list! Hah. I remember seeing the original Scream when it was first out on VHS... I would have been eleven at the time. I had never really watched many slashers (always found Friday the 13th / Nightmare on Elm Street / etc to be too boring to sit through), so it was basically my introduction to the genre. I don't actually remember much at all about the movie apart from the Horror Expert dude doing his little rants, which tickled me pink. Hahahahaha, oh God. I watched this with @Cy~ a couple months ago, actually. That was a total blast. And we watched this one about two months ago as well, I think! We originally stumbled upon it, if I remember correctly, through a combination of combing the internet looking for good horror movies and looking into movies that Guillermo del Toro was involved in. It was incredibly, incredibly well done, to say the absolute least! Once again, that was a top-notch response! With that said, with regards to thriller movies and such... Tell me all the things.
