  1. Ideally, 48 (plus or minus a few hours to give me some room to be lazy) hours after the start of the day phase - OR - whenever a majority vote has been reached. So if five of you band together immediately to vote for one person, they get killed and the day wraps up immediately. With that said, however, depending on the level of activity we see, it might be worthwhile to stretch things out to 72 hours per day, though honestly I'd rather not have things drag out quite that long. We'll see.
  2. That'll never stop for me either, but like, being outside and going places can be extra-exhausting, no? Thank you. You certainly seemed to be doing well last time.
  3. Indeed, indeed. Who will be the first to die, I wonder? As for the trip, it was lovely, though I'm definitely feeling a bit hungover now that I'm home and things are back to normal. The non-stop torrent of fun and games has come to an end. I'm somewhat thankful - it was quite exhausting!
  4. @Frost @Histoire @ItsSammy @John jobs @Nectar @SAO LILDOOP @Scrooge @zin The first day phase has begun. We're now ready to start the game - special roles have been distributed, so you may begin throwing out baseless accusations at each other whenever you like. Try not to get too ferocious with each other - after all, we'd all like to remain friends once the game is over. Seriously though, during this first day there is generally no real evidence pointing at any one person - so don't be afraid to point your finger at whoever you want!

    Hiking and Camping?

The chipmunk was startled by Cy~, but still stayed fairly close, just moving back a foot or two. It looked at me, and I looked at it. I feel that we bonded a bit, glancing warily at each other and pondering each other's life experiences. it was a special moment. Sadly it was a special moment that was soon shattered. Look, those jackasses that came behind us and started yelling about were really annoying. You know they tried to keep pace with us? When we sped up, they tried to keep up with us. Fuck that. I like my damn tranquility! We smoked those assholes.
  6. @Frost Did you miss me?
  7. You're in luck, @Frost - @Cy~ and I are both very modern thinkers. If you ... catch my drift.
  8. Vacation was lovely, but I'm quite glad to be back in the comfort of my own home. :D

Welcome back! I do imagine a squishy chair is much nicer than, say, a cliff :P

    Visual Novel Talk

Yeah, I don't tend to do well with those sorts. Maybe Planetarian would be to your liking? It's a fairly short one, and should be absurdly cheap on Steam right now. It doesn't really have any fan service to speak of, and in my opinion is a very pleasant bit of light sci-fi. It's fairly simple in terms of presentation though - there aren't a huge number of sprites or backgrounds.

I FUCKIN LOVE MINIGOLF Ahem. Nice photo.
  11. A bit tired and groggy, though decent overall. I think, like Cy~, I'm feeling an emotional hangover from our vacation.
  12. I love your new avatar!

      Thank you both!

  13. I absolutely adore Spice and Wolf! Though I think simply calling it a romance anime doesn't quite due it justice if I'm to be completely honest. and yeah, I don't watch many straight romances either. ^^;
  14. "Don't worry, I'm not plotting anything terrible, nor am I withholding and extremely useful details from you. So c'mon, make a contract with me! I'm too cute to try and screw you over... and don't worry about any of that fine print~"
  15. Good call on that. A lot of the early L&O crew were really great, tbh.
  16. Poirot, by far, specifically as portrayed in the 1989 series, Agatha Christie's Poirot, which @Cy~ was gracious enough to introduce me to some time back. I've found the series an absolute joy to work my way through with her. Beyond that, I would have to put Columbo in second place. I know he's not a classic detective in the same sense as Poirot or Holmes, but I find the way that he works to get under the skin of those that he's investigating to be downright beautiful. Third place for me would go to Holmes, as portrayed in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, played by Jeremy Brett. The modern BBC series is okay, but it never did quite hit me in the same way as the older one, if I'm to be completely honest.

  18. Hullo hullo. WHO TOLD YOU THIS? WHO EXPOSED US? WHO--- I mean... ahem. Let's get back on track. Hello! I think you've picked a wonderful forum to start with, in that case! There are a lot of extremely friendly folks here, after all. Given that you're new to forums, if you ever have any questions about how things work, or just need a bit of assistance, feel free to shoot me a message - I'm quite familiar with the forum software, and should be able to help you out!
  19. Welcome to the forum, Underscorr! It looks like you definitely managed to find an incredibly cute avatar, so I don't really think you need my help there. Any idea what the source material for that is? I don't recognize the character. omg, that potato. I love it. What do you think, @RyePotatoes ?
  20. Heyas, and welcome to AF! This forum tends to be a bit more pleasant and more positive than most others that I've ever been on, so here's hoping that you'll enjoy your time here and decide to be active.

    Hello! :)

Hiya Yam! I can relate with this. ^^ I've been a very long time anime viewer, and it definitely has had a positive impact on me, in the sense that it has opened a few doors (albeit in slightly round-about fashion) that might not otherwise have been easily opened. It also allowed me to stumble upon this forum, which has been a delightfully positive experience here - there are a lot of wonderfully friendly people here. I hope so as well! I look forward to seeing you around.

    Alohai

Heya hiya. Like you, I joined this place after being away from forums and online communities in general for a fair little while... in my case it was due to having a string of bad experiences that had kind of soured me to them, but I eventually ended up feeling the forum itch and ended up joining this place. I'm very glad that I did - while it's not the largest forum on the planet, I think it could probably be counted amongst the most pleasant that are online, active, and easily found. Hope to see you around.
  23. Welcome to the forum, Tippy! I'm a bit late getting to this thread due to being away from my PC for a few days, but I hope that you've been enjoying your time here, and that you'll be coming around a lot. I also got my start with forums around the same age. I suddenly feel old.
  24. Many thanks for the birthday wishes! It has been an absolutely delightful day. :)

  25. Yeah, it wasn't subtle. Or how things will go this time around.
