I rewatched Charlotte for the third time and I’m really trying to find anime like it.Something with a slice of life/school life with a group of friends that has supernatural elements or abilities would be cool. I think Angel Beats would fit but I tried watching it but the plot was kinda confusing and weird imo. Maybe I’ll try again but anything else?

So what anime are you watching at the moment? For me it's Psycho-Pass. I'm loving it so much! It's a Sci-Fi detective thriller but It's quite deep, alongside the depth and action of Ghost in the Shell. And Shakespeare, lots of references to English literature! How about you?

How to Respond to "Why Are Girls' Breasts Emphasized in Japanese Anime?" from Foreign Friends Understanding the Concept of "Virtue" To understand Western criticism of manga and anime, it is necessary first to grasp the underlying ideology, the concept of "virtue." "Virtue" refers to the qualities that drive a person to do what is right and avoid what is wrong. In the West, it encompasses the standards, actions, and attitudes that respectable members of society are expected to follow. In "virtue," particular emphasis is placed on abstinence, typically encompassing the prohibition or limitation of consumption, drinking, makeup, sexual activity, masturbation, entertainment, and adornment. Abstinence has been a consistent thread through Western thought and religion, from traditional religions like Christianity and Islam to modern ideologies such as socialism, feminism, and veganism. Historical figures, Gods and Buddhas are frequently depicted as beautiful and sexually attractive men and women. In contrast, in the West, beauty and eroticism have historically been viewed as wicked temptations that lead people (especially men) and society astray from the righteous path, considered attributes of the devil. Young, beautiful, and sexually attractive women have traditionally been expected to hide their hair and skin, avoid makeup and adornment, and strive not to tempt men, which is seen as virtuous and responsible behavior. When encountering the chaotic and uninhibited trends on platforms like Twitter or 5chan, Japanese people might be both appalled and impressed by the sheer freedom, feeling a renewed appreciation for their Japanese identity. However, from a Western viewpoint, such freedom is seen as evil, a fearsome chaos that conflates good and evil, indicative of a lack of conscience, and something that must be regulated. Moreover, while in Japan, unfreedom is often associated with shame, weakness, baseness, foolishness, poverty, or disability, and sometimes even becomes a target of contempt or discrimination, in the West, people who impose unfreedom on themselves and proudly display their level of unfreedom, encouraging others to do the same, are respected. Summary In the West, matters related to sex are often religious and ideological taboos, making them highly sensitive topics. Expressing seemingly trivial opinions or revealing sexual preferences can lead to social ruin, unlike in Japan. Therefore, it is crucial to understand Western viewpoints and recognize where potential pitfalls lie. Ideally, we should strive for mutual understanding through frank cultural exchange, but in the West, it is not advisable to argue casually about delicate topics like sex with someone you do not know well. While Japanese social pressure might lead to something as minor as a flat tire, Western social pressure can lead to serious personal harm. Always be cautious! I've been a huge anime fan for years, with some of my all-time favorites being Cardcaptor Sakura, Fullmetal Alchemist and Code Geass. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow fans, checking out the artist alley, and attending some of the panels. I'm particularly interested in the cosplay contest. I'm not sure if I'm going to dress up but I can't wait to see what everyone else has put together. Also, does anyone have tips for first-time convention-goers? I'm trying to plan my schedule and make the most of the weekend. Any recommendations on must-see events or things to avoid? So there's a lot of anime about people from the real world getting trapped in their favorite movies, shows, games, etcetera. If that happened with your favorite anime... Which one would it be? What would you do? Do you think you would survive? Do you take over for another character like in Pleasantville or would you just be added in unexpectedly like Last Action hero? Can you control it like the Neverending Story?

I have seen my fair share of anime and I am good a researching so if you want anime ask here Ill give my best opinion and if I don't have one Ill search tell I find at least 5 different anime for you! That includes Anime recommendations...

A few weeks back i saw an anime edit of a really crisp, high quality fighting anime and thought to find it. i had decided to wait to find it and i can no longer find that video. The comments of the video had said it was a short, maybe 5-6 episode fighting anime. All i remember from the edit is a 2v1 fight where the characters were being flung around, in a generally open space. Help finding this anime would be greatly appreciated.

Hey so I want to have an open conversation about something I think people maybe overlook or try not to think to heavily about, which is what I did for a long time but recently I can’t anymore it’s like my mind unlocked info and now I can’t turn it off. We all know anime has a lot of fan service right? Well usually I can ignore it cause it’s usually just a high-school girl with big boobs and her panties are showing, stereotypical. I’m talking about the other issue. The sexualization of very young girls and or young looking girls. For example, I’m scrolling on a website to read a manga and I come across one with a girl in elementary school flashing her panties and I’m like what is this? I just ignore it but I do want to ask how is it so widely accepted? I know most people see it and go oh god but we also like don’t riot or try and take it down. It’s considered freedom of expression or the argument is “the author isn’t a pedo he likes anime lolis”. It got me to thinking though when manga artists who do draw sexualized anime girls( specifically very young ones) are they using a reference in their head? Do they have a reference of a real life little girl and use her to draw, or is it more they use reference of a made up adult but just makes them smaller in their head, or do they use other loli characters as reference so on and so fourth or do they make up the anime girl completely without any reference whether real or fake. I just couldn’t get it out of my head if they’re using real children as reference to draw whether they use fotos of images in their head of real kids they’ve seen. Even big time anime’s or mangakas will draw young girls flashing their non existent cleavage or showing panties, one good example is Shirō from no game no life. she’s literally 11 but so sexualized. It’s so prevalent in other shows and mangas and they tend to be created by men as well. I love anime and manga, I really do, but I just wanted to get opinions from other people who see this happening as well, how do you cope? Or are you also not coping well. Do you have any more knowledge and insight from artists who do draw loli characters? Are they not using real kids and reference. The problem here to is there will be artists who are creeps and do use real children, I guess I’m talking about the majority of the community that draws that kind of stuff, what do they use as reference if any. Does anyone know of an Anime game but a 2D version? In addition to being open world and mmorpg Is there no such thing? Why don't they make it? It could easily be in a web browser without downloading it I would easily walk (wasd) and explore places like these What do you think about this idea? Make your own anime character each server is the city of Japan to do various tests, challenges, goals to choose which school you want to go to, To work in the profession that suits you and you like. Interact with players. Each choice you and the other players make changes the story of your character and their character (i.e. they affect each other for more realism) Now what kind of game? What category do you like best? 1) For zombies - survival? 2) just realistic and relaxing 3) Science Fiction? 4) Athletic? etc although I believe they can all be done together in this game haha

The anime is about a girl protagonist who goes to study at a prestigious school. If I'm not mistaken, 10 rich families own this school and their children wear earrings that identify which family each one is from, and each one has an assistant of the same age who accompanies them and who also wear an earring as a "link" between they. One of these young masters meets the protagonist while she works part-time at a hotel and makes her become his assistant by putting the earring on her. I really can't remember the name but I really wanted to watch it again, if anyone can remember I would really appreciate it

For me I like the room parties, panels, and just hanging out with new people. I have made a good amount of friends at cons throughout the years, and hoping to continue that trend.
