I like all kinds of sushi, many different Japanese candies, ramen, and tempura.

I always forget about tempura but it's really good too. Now I'm craving that .. 😆

Tempura is delicious. There's a place that serves some amazing tempura not far from my place, tempted to go out for some tomorrow now that we're talking about it.

Yes I love Japanese food (✿◠‿◠)

I used to get a box every month that contained different types of Japanese food, candy or soda. There was so much good stuff in those I really should sign up for one again.

I used to get one called Bokksu for awhile it was a gift I received from Christmas and it had really good foods and snacks too.

I think that's the name of one I used to get as well. I still get Tokyo Treat and it has more than just snacks in it.

Oh yes! Tokyo Treat! I've gotten that one before (⌒_⌒) I liked it because it comes with drinks too.

The other night we grabbed some dinner bentos from a local place. I got the chicken katsu bento which comes with chicken katsu (duh), rice, a little salad, gyoza, tempura, and a dynamite roll. The dynamite roll is prawn, which I don’t like, so Andy had my dynamite roll and he gave me some of his tempura to go with mine. On the side we also got an Alaska roll (cucumber, avocado, imitation crab, cream cheese with smoked salmon top) and an unagi roll (bbq eel, cucumber, and unagi sauce)

I've always liked the drinks but I've actually become more fond of Korean drinks, in particular one called Milkis.

Omg those are my favorite 😭

The only Japanese drink I've tried is the Ramune I got in FYE shop. It's pretty good and comes with anime characters on it.

I've gotten those there before too. Hot Topic and FYE. I think Spencers had them too.

I absolutely adore Japanese food, but when it comes to cooking it, I'm an absolute dummie.

It cracks me up that a single post account brought this thread back from the dead and then has been kept alive over a year past that.

I would say I love Japanese food, but that wouldn't technically be accurate. I like certain meals until they start veering off into sushi (actual raw fish, not the cooked stuff), squid, and other such sea food. About a year ago I started making my own hibachi at home with a wok, usually with chicken, onions, egg, water chestnuts, and sometimes baby corns. I also learned how to make good Tamago gohan (egg and rice) for breakfast, which was a fun experiment. A Japanese steakhouse recently opened up near where I live and it's a really great place, stocked with the best Japanese beer and hopefully sake soon as well.

This sort of thing happens every so often here. A new member is wandering round looking at all the various posts and decides to post to a long dead topic and before you know it it's no longer a dead topic 🙂

I think most forums discourage necroposting old topics, but I kinda like that it doesn’t totally matter on this forum because it is such a small active user base, may as well play with the some of the toys we already have 😂

And considering if we didn't there wouldn't be anything to talk about because there is hardly ever any new posts.
