What are some Youtube trends you just don't understand

For me, it's those slime videos. People even make businesses out of this. Others just find something like that wasteful.

 

While this more like a genre rather than a trend, I do not understand those family vlogging channels. I in fact think they're very problematic, mostly because it's allowing children to be exposed to potential danger on the internet.

 

What are some YT things you don't get or simply cannot stand?

One of the things I don't really understand is why so many YouTube channels are just made up of other people's content. There's often no input from the YouTuber who runs the channel, it's just content that;s been appropriated from other sources rather than content the YouTuber has created themselves.

Censoring/demonetizing videos for stupid reasons, like using the words "corona virus".

Taking away the "dislike" count.

Clickbait.

Don't get me started.

More of a community thing but the abundance of comments that start off "As someone that's" to relate themselves in a long winded response to a video. The overused "literally".

One thing I don't quite understand about YouTubers is why do they speak so fast?

Some of them gabble away so quickly that I can't keep up with what they're saying, in the end I just stop their video and go somewhere else.
