Clayton
So what manga do you know that are better than the anime based on them? Which ones have better anime versions?
Sakura
I like the Fairy Tail manga better than I actually like the anime, but I'm not someone who reads a ton of manga anymore so this is about my depth of knowledge on this subject. This is also one of the only ones that I have read the manga and watched the anime on because I usually tend to do one or the other only due to I don't really have a ton of free time anymore ~ I usually prefer to watch anime over reading manga though. Reading usually puts me right to sleep and in the evenings I would rather sit in front of the tv and feel like I'm just being lazy as reading kinda feels like a chore to me anymore. Oh but I do have to say as that last picture you posted reminded me, I much more loved the art style of Card Captor Sakura in the manga and drawings than I did the TV versions.
Zeref
Berserk Tokyo Ghoul Slam Dunk Promised Neverland One Piece (Obviously I think a lot of long and popular anime/manga like this you have to read the manga for the best experience without a lot of filler for instance also Bleach manga) Nisekoi Soul Eater (the ending mainly) Silent Voice (I don't like that the backstory was cut out in the movies) Deadman Wonderland These are ones I think of off the top of my head but I more prefer manga to anime such as reading the manga first and watching the anime after. There are a lot of filler episodes in anime that I don't care for or sometimes the adaption of the anime isn't true to the manga. Sometimes this is good but in most cases I seen it is bad.
Animedragon
There's not many series where I have both the manga and the anime, but in general I find that their ether both equal or the anime is slightly better. However, the one that really stands out where the manga was far better is Please Save My Earth, trying to condense a 21 volume manga into a 6 episode anime was never going to work well, especially for a manga with as complex a story as PSME. 417Unlocked
Bleach and Naruto/Shippuden --- these are up there with one piece with the amount of ridiculous filler episodes that the anime has. Fairy Tail- The anime adaptation I feel like was modified for a younger audience and the manga was fantastic Overlord- I prefer the anime to the light novel I'm not even sure I've ever seen a manga of it might have to look that up in a min Then I could probably give you a huge list of series that both options are great like Black Clover and Demon Slayer etc

A lot of the one's I'd pick are like Oh My Goddess, where they release the anime before the manga is finished. Others are actually better that way than they turn out to be in the manga later. Kirika_Madeleine
Boogiepop and others since there are scene cut in the anime and some other they compress the story. But I still like the anime..
Skin
Berserk is the most egregious example for me, the 1997 anime is the only good adaptation imo the movies were pretty meh and the 2016 anime was atrocious. Others for me are Vinland saga, Kingdom, Gantz, Ajin, Blame! and One punch man I generally much prefer reading manga to watching anime though so for me it’s more of an exception to prefer the anime over the manga
Wickett
A personal experience and as mentioned above as well, Gantz is the worst example of a botched anime adaption that I've both watched and read. I didn't care for Gantz at all in its entirety but if you aren't going to properly adapt the manga, don't adapt it at all.
Clayton
Hellsing doesn't ring any bells? Or Drifters? I hate when they cut off and leave cliffhangers just because the manga isn't done
