Nicholas D. Wolfwood
DanMachi/s /Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Okay but high dive they have they have made me a fan of theirs, and this title that has a long name not too long and the title is called: DanMachis, or its common name is called Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Well but at first I thought it was a boobs and butt anime, thanks to the common name of the anime, so far the show has made me a super fan of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? I'm so far I completed seasons one through four and I can't wait to watch the 5th season but I just wish more people ran Cartoon Network/Adult Swim,/ toonami But would take notice of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Well, the battles and the storyline are kind of a cross between My Hero Academia, Fullmetal Brotherhood, and Sword Art Online with a dash of dot hack I'm so the show will keep you glued to your TV or computer, but I don't plan to spoil it for anime fans, but yeah, it's one of Hi Dive's best anime to me But how did I come across this show? Well, I kept seeing it pop up on my Roku TV But yeah so for a month I checked it out I just wish that toonami but would try to add it to it's but we'll schedule, well but I'm not sure but what name will but that they might try to call it well i'm thinking back the sword to the sword demon oh and it's drawn it's like the oh demon Slayer Amine and throughout each season it has max of about telewe or 12 episodes but yeah it's but one of high dives strongest shows well but to their catalog of anime so finny hidive has me hooked to the anime catalog with DanMachi/s /Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? So hidive, thank you this post was dictated by voice text
Ohayotaku
HiDive: Rock is a Lady’s Modesty Crunchyroll: Girls Band Cry both are about all female rock bands with an emphasis on rebellion against societal & family expectations. while it seems to be the minority opinion, I enjoyed Rock is a Lady’s Modesty more. Both are fantasy series with competing factions with the MC acting as the champion for a female head (Bell/Hestia, Subaru/Emilia), but also becoming popular with a number of other female characters. Both have multiple seasons. Edited July 20, 2025 by Ohayotaku
Nicholas D. Wolfwood
mmm thinking i wonder what would CR have that could match up against /Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? on Hidive, maybe The Rising of the Shield Hero, I will have to ponder this a little more This might be a little difficult to ponder since 1/3 of my anime experience is thanks to Toonami & Funimation which are both owned by CR Crunchyroll as of 2020
SurrealBrain
I honestly don't do either. I would rather just buy the show I want on DVD or Blu-ray and then not have to pay again. Short term, it might cost more, but long-term, I do find it's beneficial to me when I don't have to worry about monthly fees.

When I started watching anime the only way to see series was to buy the VHS tapes or later on the DVDs and I would much rather buy the disks and own the series. The problem is that not all series get a DVD/Blu-ray release so a lot of what I've watched over the past year are just not available to buy. When it comes to costs, a Crunchyroll subscription is £6 per month and the average price for a Blu-ray complete collection is around £50 so for the cost of one Blu-ray set I get about 8 months of CR. Some of the series I watch on CR I wouldn't want to watch again so I wouldn't buy them. On average I usually watch 2 series a week so far me a CR sub is a really cheap way of watching a whole load of anime.

At least now when I buy a series I know that I enjoy it.
Sakura Dragon
My roommate uses both Crunchyroll and Hidive and he said that the former is better. I believe him because I don’t hear anyone talk about Hidive ever.

No question Crunchyroll has the largest library of titles, but Hidive has some I enjoy as well: Azumanga Daioh • Beautiful Bones • Danmachi (Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon) • Insomniacs After School • Flying Witch • From Bureaucrat to Villainess • Ippon Again • Kino’s Journey (2003) • K-On • Made in Abyss • Oshi no Ko • Princess Tutu • Rock is a Lady’s Modesty • The Dangers in My Heart • The Eminence in Shadow . Currently watching Bad Girl, not sure if I’ll watch 2nd season of Call of the Night.
efaardvark
Yes Crunchy's catalog is huge, though with quite a few shows having big gaps due to missing seasons, and some popular and/or notable titles missing entirely. But Sony (still) needs to do a major overhaul on the UI. Searching for instance. Ever try finding something by the original title? I'll allow you to use either Japanese kana/kanji or Latin (rōmaji). More often than not I can't find a show unless I look up the English title somewhere else first, then use that to search on Crunchy. Who ever heard of a streaming site where one can't find content based on the content's actual title?? Do they or do they not want us to find/watch the shows available? As a post-season binge-watcher I'd also like to be able to limit listings to shows whose episodes have all finished airing for the season, and optionally omit from the list shows that I've already watched. And what the heck is that "more like this" recommendations section? I have no idea what the the criteria are for "like this". Basically random as far as I can tell. I'd disable the section and replace it with something based explicitly on my own preferences if I could. But of course that's not an option either. I could go on about things like how a show's synopsis is usually unreadable due to the bottom half being cut off, and the shows' metadata not even including things like actors' names, number of episodes, or even the original air date. (Not that the metadata is searchable even if it did.) Or how about being able to create an evening's watch list containing 2 or three hours-worth of individual episodes from a couple of different series? Can't do it on Crunchy. TL;DR... Usually I plan my viewing outside of Crunchy entirely and only visit Crunchy for the actual content. MAL works well since that site is usually pretty good at making shows easily accessible with their "Streaming Platforms" section's links. Still doesn't help for the "evening watchlist" thing though. edit: Sorry.. didn't mean to make the whole post about Crunchy's poor UI.
