Sakura
Are there any animes you started watching and you disliked or flat out hated them at first, but then later you ended up really loving after watching more of it? For me I actually really disliked Boruto when I first watched it when it came out. I only watched a few episodes, decided this is awful and then gave up on it. I didn't watch it again until 2024-ish and this time around I actually really love it and got into it. Now some of the characters from it have become my all time favorites. Another one I disliked at first was Attack on Titan. I didn't like it at all and thought it just wasn't the type of anime for me. Several years later my best friend got super obsessed with it and I ended up watching a lot of it with her and this time around I actually really enjoyed it and thought it was great. So what about you? Has anyone else got any stories about animes they ended up liking after giving another chance?
Jellal
A few I disliked until I got into them - Konosuba Bocchi the Rock Code Geass Sword Art Online Golden Time I had a sort of love/hate relationship with One Piece in the beginning when I started watching it. I hated the fact that it was so long and figured I'd never finish it but now I'm pretty well into it and a fan. There's probably been a lot more anime I've disliked at first and then enjoyed but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I don't like a lot of harem but something about it is very funny and I ended up thinking it was a great anime (n˘v˘•)¬
Zeref
One Piece. I thought the art style was weird and I wasn't going to like it but than I watched it and the characters made it appealing. Jojo's Bizzarre Adventure. It seem like an over the top anime but after watching more of it I thought it was creative. Black Clover. I thought would be just another generic Shounen but the characters had pretty solid development and the fights were pretty good too. Clannad. Another I thought was just a generic anime, harem style, slow start, but the ending really got me and I love this anime now.

Sasuke
I didn't really like Steins Gate when I first started watching it. I guess the main reason for that is it seemed to start off slow to me but it grew on me. Same with One Piece. Initially wasn't a fan because the beginning episodes started to bore me until I got around 40 or so then I started to enjoy it.

Only two girls seems to be overly interested in the MC and he's got very mixed feelings about hooking up with any of them.

One Piece does start off pretty slow, gets good though.
Kari
I didn't like Solo Leveling in the beginning but after a few episodes I did. I also didn't like Code Geass the first time I watched and stopped after a few eps then several years later I gave it another go and liked it a lot. I'm not really sure what changes but that was my experience.
Sakura Dragon
I didn’t care for One Piece after watching the first episode. I threw it on the back burner for over a year and contemplated on returning to it all. I ended up getting back to it and fell in love.

getintherobot
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I watched 7 episodes in 2014 and thought it was mid. Gave it another try a few years later, and it clicked. This also goes for just about anything released in the 90's other than Pokemon. I was in my late teens before I stopped dismissing it all as "old looking." I distinctly remember being very disappointed that OG NGE didn't look like the Rebuild movies.
