KaiyaSaysHaiya
The first anime that comes to my mind is Monster! I think it's such an interesting story with very interesting ideas. Every episode is delicately woven into the overall story in ways you wouldn't expect. The characters are all very well written and you grow invested in the lives and stories of everyone, even the background characters. Not to mention the compelling dynamics between different characters (such as Johan/Tenma, Johan/Nina, Tenma/Lunge etc). I think Monster kind of feels like a puzzle, in a way. Every different episode/scene is a puzzle piece and they're all placed together until the final picture is clear. Also, the opening is cool Edited October 15, 2025 by KaiyaSaysHaiya

kathi
For me, Attack on Titan, Paranoia Agent, and Vinland Saga really blew my mind — especially from the psychological and seinen side of things. Each of them mixes philosophy, action, and emotion so well that you end up thinking about them long after watching. Lately I’ve also been reading Berserk again, and it still hits differently every time. If anyone’s into deep psychological or fantasy anime like these, theanimeslayer has some great breakdowns and episode insights worth checking out. What about you guys — any underrated series that made you rethink the whole genre?

Sakura Dragon
Solo Leveling sorta blew my mind due to how amazing it was. The animation quality, the music, the story, all of it caught me off guard because it was just incredible. I got through the first two seasons so fast it was crazy.
