since you're rewatching it, it must be good?

It has its moments.  :)  Basically a SoL romcom but most of the characters are genius-level misfits and it has some serious bits as well.

Will start now with 'Always a catch!'. Anyone seen it? Any good?

I thought it was worth the watch.

Just finished up Fractale, which I thought was all right. I enjoyed it well enough, but the chance I'll ever watch it again is extremely low.

Picked up Last Exile to replace it, and I'm having a great time. Hopefully this continues throughout the entire show.

Finished Dorohedoro season 2,  what a gut punch of an ending 😣 Glad they already announced season 3, hope we don’t have to wait for more than a year.

Gonna try to finish up Agents of the Four Seasons & Akane Banashi today, start Re:ZERO’s latest season tomorrow.

I'm about halfway through Shakugan no Shana.  It's enjoyable, but nothing spectacular.  I've wanted to watch it for a long time, because it was big back in the day.  Also watching Revolutionary Girl Utena.  As a fan of yuri, it's been on my list for quite awhile.  I'm enjoying it so far, even though it can get a bit meandering.  The mistreatment of Anthy so far by other characters has been rather...surprising, to put it mildly.

I'm happy there'll be a season 3.🙂

I finished Revolutionary Girl Utena today.  Other than a few too many...unsubstantial (for lack of a better word) episodes, it was great.  One of the best OSTs ever, and great animation.  While I didn't understand everything that went on (let alone all of the symbolism), I understand why it's stood the test of time, and is still well regarded. (Shana, on the other hand, while enjoyable, was meh overall.  I probably would've enjoyed it more if I had watched it earlier in my history of anime watching.)

Started Read or Die TV this week, and it's a fun series.  I loved the original OVA when I finally got around to watching it last year, and while the TV series not having Yomiko is a bummer, it's enjoyable so far.  A good series to watch a couple episodes at a time.

Watched the first two episodes of Gunbuster tonight.  It seems like it'll be a good OVA.  I haven't watched many pre-'90s anime, so I've been trying to watch at least some of the big ones.  Tbh, haven't seen as many from the '90s as I'd like, either, but I've seen enough that I'm less focused on them atm.

Finished up season 1 of Clevatess. Enjoyable enough, though it certainly felt rather gratuitous in a lot of areas. I was also rather disappointed at the titular character assuming a humanoid form, as monstrous leads in anime are wont to do. Season 2 has started off taking a direction I distinctly dislike, and I doubt I'll continue unless this direction cuts off within a few episodes.

Moving on to Wash it All Away and Agents of the Four Seasons.

Yomiko & Nancy play a more active role in the series 2nd half.

Watching Wistoria: Wand & Sword season 2 to finish up the Spring season of shows

Reactivated my Prime Video account at least temporarily to watch Nippon Sangoku. Had some interesting ideas, kinda like Golden Kamuy with less emphasis on action (when it gets violent it’s usually bloody but over quickly).

Started watching From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Wanted to see if it’s worthwhile since it got a 2nd season, but still undecided.

Not really impressed by the new Ghost in the Shell. Liked the movies & previous tv series  better, though this is apparently truer to the manga. Will give it at least 1 more ep to finish the current storyline.

I know I watched the first few episodes of this, but fell off. Might need to revisit.

I do recall liking the impression the story gave me that there was essentially a battle anime going on well away from the main protagonist that he was barely aware of. Always had a fondness for the trope of "There's a high-stakes plot in the setting that the actual protagonist doesn't know/care about".

Thought I'd do the 3-ep run on The Exiled Heavy Knight.  Probably won't come back to it.  The animation is not my style and the story definitely leaves something to be desired.  I'm more into SF anyway.

I've only seen the anime trailer and was thinking of watching that anime, but I forgot about it.

Checked  out the first 3 ep of ブチ切れ令嬢は報復を誓いました。~魔導書の力で祖国を叩き潰します~   aka :A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires.

I seriously hope the long names fad isn't coming back.

That said, and in spite of it, I think I might return to this one at season's end.
