  4. I wonder if I could talk my local movie theater into printing this on ticket stubs.
  5. I’ve bought One Piece figures from both Japan Figure and Big Bad Toy Store, and both have been reliable for me. BBTS is usually easier if you’re in the U.S. since shipping is simpler, while Japan Figure can be better for Japanese releases or older figures that are harder to find locally. I’d avoid choosing only by character, though. Try checking what line he already collects—Banpresto and Ichibansho are good for affordable gifts, while Portrait of Pirates is more premium. Also be careful with eBay listings that seem unusually cheap, because One Piece figures have a lot of bootlegs.
  6. The English dub really deserves more credit for that. Using the game’s slang naturally makes the conversations feel like they actually belong in Night City, rather than sounding like a standard anime dub with Cyberpunk visuals layered on top. I’m also glad the new series is apparently going with a standalone cast. David and Lucy’s story ended strongly enough that bringing them back would risk weakening it. A different crew could explore another side of Night City while still keeping the same themes of ambition, identity and how quickly the city consumes people. The original series has also held up surprisingly well through its collectibles. I was looking through some Cyberpunk: Edgerunners merchandise, and it reminded me how recognizable even the supporting character designs are. I’d especially like to see the new series introduce someone with the same immediate visual impact as Rebecca.
  7. It's good. Woke up to a nice morning, not too hot right now. I don't like it too hot or too cold.
  8. I been thinking. If one didn't get any genuine human treatment in early days its hard for them to just be happy - bordering impossible, even if they get proper treatment later and can just start to be happy, as if they chooses to be miserable not allowing wounds to heal. Maybe they have novels they cherished more than their life and want them to become known but with an "Unknown Author"
  9. Mochi

    Itachi

Itachi from Naruto. Pls be nice, and i would like some tips to improve.

  11. It's become significantly more accessible, and by that I mean it's easier to find and watch. At least where I lived, anime used to be the kind of thing you had to specifically seek out on television schedules (often at weird hours), go digging through video/DVD rentals for, or figure out how to use torrents and file-sharing services, etc. Now, there are numerous streaming services that offer anime as part of the package, and of course entire services exist almost exclusively to stream anime. Finding relatively reasonably-priced Blu-Rays is as simple as opening Amazon. In effect, anime consumption has become a lot more normalized and mainstream, though I'm not sure if the greater accessibility is the cause, effect or both. While I sometimes nostalgically pine for the days of frantically watching fansubbed anime in three parts on YouTube (because there was a sizable chance it would be copyright struck sooner than later), if more widespread acceptance of anime means newer generations don't have the experience of being shamed for liking it, I'd say that's worth it. What really spells it out is when I was buying some manga in my local major bookstore recently. Time was, said bookstore chain had maybe one shelf for manga volumes, and you were seen as "weird" for buying it (I actually had a clerk comment once "Shouldn't you be reading real books?"). Nowadays there's two full aisles for manga and light novels. The clerk (an elderly woman) had a Frieren pin and eagerly asked for recommendations for new anime, while another, younger clerk gushed about how much she loved Witch Hat Atelier. No way in the world would that have happened even a dozen years ago.
  12. So there are a lot of clowns and jesters and similar in anime. Do you like them? Fear them? Who are your favorites/least favorites? Did you know the original clown, known as the hellequinn, was actually a bounty hunting demon from Hell?
  13. Reading Rainbow really made on impression on me.
  14. Started up The Color of the End, which as of writing has three volumes out in English. Seems to take a decent amount of influence from BLAME!, what with the advanced-yet-desolate urban sci-fi setting and highly decompressed visual style. Quite enjoying thus far.
  15. Living in Florida, I'm fortunate enough to have a decent number of cons to potentially attend, though the only one I consistently attend is Metrocon over in Tampa.
  16. How is that different than many human artists?
  17. Honor and Devotion, inspired by Space Marine 2.
  18. Welcome to the forum, and I hope you enjoy it.
  19. Feeling a little sleepy and my left side started hurting when I sat down.
  20. I work market research. A few weeks ago I started looking into different employment. I was thinking about checking into where I used to work or maybe getting into healthcare work.
  21. I woke up to one of my cats sleeping on my chest. I don't know if she slept there all night or not. I worked, I had an hour jog, I read a little, painted some on my fence and cleaned in my living room.
  22. I know it exists, but I've never felt interested enough to look into it.
  23. Nice list today and more things for tomorrow.
