In about a month there will be an update to this platform that will affect Clubs.

Currently all content inside Clubs remain in Clubs...

The future update will show you content of Clubs based on their content type (but only if you are a member of the club).

For example, if you're a member of this club:

And if you are browsing the forums, you will see a section below the forums that shows the above club + other recently updated Forum tabs of all clubs you are a member of.

Similarly, if you are browsing the Gallery or the Blogs, you will see a section below the Gallery/Blogs page that shows recently updated Gallery/Blogs at the bottom of clubs you are a member of (though I don't anticipate there to be too many Clubs that are using the Gallery/Blogs within their Club).

I also noticed a slight issue where new clubs were being created with all the features enabled (e.g. Gallery, Blog, Videos and Topics). I will make adjustments to correct this. Clubs that weren't using any of these extra features I've cleaned up by removing the tabs - but of course if Club Owners decide to use them later you can certainly do so at anytime.

Hopefully these upcoming changes will make Clubs more active and appealing to use.  Feel free to take this opportunity to help spiff up your Clubs.

Plot:

The story is set in the distant future. The land is ruined, and humanity establishes the mobile fort city Plantation. Pilots produced inside Plantation live in Mistilteinn, also know as the "birdcage." Children live there knowing nothing of the outside world or the freedom of the sky. Their lives consist of battling to carry out missions. Their enemies are mysterious giant lifeforms known as Kyouryuu, and the children pilot robots called Franxx to face off against them. For the children, riding the Franxx proves their existence.

A boy named Hiro is called Code:016, and he was once known as a prodigy. However, he has fallen behind, and his existence seems unnecessary. Not piloting a Franxx is the same as ceasing to exist. One day, a mysterious girl known as "Zero Two" appears before him. Two horns grow out of her head.

Studio Trigger I like! The ruined land and really dynamic motion scenes instantly gave me vibes of their other works Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann and Little Witch Academia. Fantasy, Sci-Fi and some Mecha.. looks fantastic!

Plot:

I really like Kyoto Animation's titles. Very stylish and detailed. The pacing on this one looks quite slow as a drama (soul searching, finding the true meaning of love) but the fantasy world looks great.

Violet is also very elegant.

Continuation of the favourite anime character colour series.  

Who is your favourite anime character with red hair?

My most favourite would have to be Yoko Litttner from Gurren Lagann (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann). She was full of spirit yet was very badass at the same time especially in the later half.

My other current favourite so far this season (Winter 2018) would have to be Kouka "Type-001" from BEATLESS. She looks pretty aggressive and already is pretty badass with that hybrid blade/rifle!

Episode 2 (5/10)

@SleepyLeoulf that Yume theme is a barebones one for those that prefer a light, plain theme. It has been here since we converted to this platform.

Well I was curious to see how many users Facebook has these days and according to their official Third Quarter 2017 Results report:

These days I don't even use it anymore, just the Messenger component (due to family and work colleagues using it).

Yeah the second episode was a tad odd (will post more thoughts in the episode topic), exposing Lacia like that in such a lavish public event was mind boggling IMO.  But was good to see the OP and a glimpse of red Kouka. I really am hoping to see some combat scenes hopefully, but at 24 episodes it seems they will want to build more backstory around Lacia I assume.

Frankly I find Lacia the most intriguing. Arato Endo is clueless and his little sister is WAY TOO TRUSTING of Lacia!

I interpreted that as hIEs being very loyal once registered to their owners. Too early to say though I think.

I have setup a new dark theme called Anime Forums Sci-Fi.

It features three different backgrounds you can choose from:

• Macross Frontier
• Knights of Sidonia
• Hyperdimension Neptunia (Next Black)

Please feel free to give it a try, any issues let me know. If all goes well then it will be the new default theme for AF.

In future we can also look at adding more background images.

There is a fairly major update to the platform coming (to improve Clubs, Gallery and some forum features) which could significantly affect customisations. 

In the short term I will try to churn out 2-3 new themes.

With the introduction of an ultra-advanced AI that surpasses human intelligence, beings that mankind is yet to fully comprehend made from materials far too advanced for human technology begin coming into being. Lacia, an hIE equipped with a black coffin-shaped device, is one of these. In boy-meets-girl fashion, 17-year-old Arato Endo has a fateful encounter with the artificial Lacia. For what purpose were these artificial beings created? Amid questions regarding the coexistence of these artificial beings and humans, a 17-year-old boy makes a decision...

So advanced android/robotic girls called hIEs have become common tools to help society in a futuristic world. And this Arato Endo has a fateful encounter with special high combat hIE: Type-001 Lacia during a near fatal incident.

There also appear to be other high combat hIEs too.

Character designs of the hIEs look great! Universe seems interesting. I do however have reservations about the animation. I thought Diomedea wasn't too bad as they did Kantai Collection: KanColle but the animation quality on this title so far is quite lacklustre.

Will certainly give this one a go for a few episodes.

Shinya and Akane were awesome! I was really disappointed when he barely made an appearance in the second season but was absolutely in awe when he reappeared in the movie!
