  1. Nice to hear you have a shorter commute these days. At my new place my commute is a little longer, 19.9 km one way (about 21 minutes give or take) my fuel tank lasts me just under 2 weeks depending on what weekend activities I do. This is something I'm jealous about, you definitely have used your car thoroughly and pushed it to it's limits but persevered with repairs with your uncle! Though I love the reliability of my past Kia Rio and current Subaru Impreza I do feel I haven't pushed it much at all, I'm only on 22,000 km whereas your odometer has stopped working I keep telling myself I need to do a long drive one day. Maybe I'll drive to Melbourne someday. Road trip. Everyone is always nostalgic about their first car, myself included! Though looking at my Kia Rio photo earlier in this topic ehh, that just brings back crash memories. Anyway if you were to get a Suzuki Swift one day, what colour would you get?

    McDonald's

McDonald's here have just brought out new chicken products. McWrap and new Chicken Salads (Crispy Chicken Noodle). I've tried the Crispy Chicken Noodle salad and it's really good, cherry tomatoes, capsicum, purple lettuce, cos lettuce, shredded carrot. I'm not sure about other countries but Subway (subway sandwich franchise) has a big presence here for the "healthier fast food" market. I honestly do believe this may dent their sales. Will try the McWrap soon.

    Blu-Ray

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Blu-ray movie exchange. We list what movies we have and we can borrow from each other's collection? Only potential issue might be the region coding, however most of the Blu-rays sold here in Australia appear to be region free. Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll post my list of Blu-rays.

    Pokemon Series

Well given that most of us now have X/Y... I would like to ask, which Pokémon starter did you pick and why? I went straight for Froakie, simply because Water type is my favourite. I didn't research ahead, felt like this time I wanted to be surprised when they evolve. How about you?
  6. Nobuo Uematsu - Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSbXikkI948 Really touching, atmosphereic and quite possibly the best World Map music in any JRPG.
  7. ^ Thinks someone needs to revive this as talking to oneself could be interpreted as either a sign of boredom, or perhaps more likey: insanity.
  8. What is your favourite Pokémon of all time and why? And please don't say Pikachu jks For me it would have to be Suicune! Suicune is my favourite because he is really graceful, he is blue, has awesome beam attacks and glows an awesome blue. And being a legendary helps too. How about you?

  10. Thanks for testing the app peeps! My random rant: working on sprucing up the forums, expanding the sections again and working on a new theme.
  11. I've slowly been getting into hot Green Tea but I have a question! How long do you usually leave the boiled kettle for it to cool down enough so it doesn't burn the tea leaves/bag ? The packaging recommends 80 degrees Celsius... maybe better to interrupt the kettle just before it boils? <-- Tea newbie

  15. Just wondering if you're using any file storage in the cloud services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Skydrive, etc. and if so, what your experience is like? I'm currently using a combination of Google Drive and Dropbox. I prefer Dropbox as it has a better desktop client (nice right-click options that integrate well) and it appears to sync more responsively than Google Drive's desktop client. ...however Google Drive offers 15 GB for free versus Dropbox's 2 GB free option.
  16. Discuss. I've grown to prefer 24 hour time over the years, plus it was a requirement for paperwork when I was doing volunteer work with the Ambulance service. It is also a little quicker to write. And I set it to 24 hour on my watch and phone. How about you?

    Wasabi Peas

Wasabi peas is one of my all time favourite snacks. This is my favourite brand, Khao Shong. Nice crunchy coating and the Wasabi is not too strong. How do you find them?

    Blu-Ray

What I've really admired with Japanese media is the packaging and extras are usually stylishly... intricate. The first two Sword Art Online Bluray volumes I bought came with plastic sleeve protectors. Absolutely stunning packaging and a nice collectors box: As for the money making, so true! Each volume cost me 6800 yen. And the Mobile Gundam SEED Bluray complete set I bought... well the cost was ridiculous. But I really feel the studios deserve it. I only started buying Anime recently for the ones that I found touching. Gundam SEED and SAO touched me, so I went out and bought them. Slightly off-topic I also tend to grab the OST, artbooks and figures (if they're still available and of a nice quality build). PS3 games are region free, I know this because I used to buy PS3 games from a Hong Kong online retailer because it was cheaper ($40-$50 USD versus the absurd $80-$110 AUD here for a new release) and they worked fine on my PS3. But SOME Blu-Ray movies do have region coding. Basically: (with a few exceptions) A: East Asia B: Africa, Europe, Oceania C: Central Asia The Hong Kong Blu-Rays I buy normally come in Region A... they won't play on my PS3 because we're Region B... <_<On the PS3 you can't change the coding whereas on some standalone Blu-Ray players you can... anyway I just play them on my PC's Blu-Ray player which I set to Region B.
