Train. Any sort of trains. Do you go out after dark or stay indoors?

This evening I re-watched I Want To Eat Your Pancreas. This is a beautiful film and the story is both uplifting and heartbreaking.

A cup of tea and a dark chocolate biscuit.

Model shops, we had a really good one in our high street a long time ago and I really miss it.

It's still bright and sunny, but the temperature has dropped to a more civilised 20C.

Many years ago I was in that part of Wales and visited the railway station to buy a platform ticket, they sold more platform tickets than train tickets. The station is unstaffed now so you can't buy any sort of ticket there. The last time I was in Wales I was talking to a shopkeeper and they said they'd lived in Wales over 10 years and still not managed to learn to speak Welsh.

The raccoons and coyote didn't get along with my dragons, so I'm returning them. Sorry about the singed fur, one of the dragons got too excited.

I gift you a special lock for your door that only you can open so that those raccoons and coyote can't be returned to you.

I sort of got used to the slow pace after a couple of episodes and decided that it fitted the story better than a more hectic pace. I would have liked to know what all the strange stuff was, but then it occurred to me that a lot of would probably have been derelict before the girls were born and even if there were notices telling what the stuff was would the girls have even understood them. I think that not knowing added to the atmosphere of the series and the sense of what had been lost. It's definitely a series I'd like to watch again some time.

Totally knackered as a result of not getting any sleep last night because of the heat.

Today it's still bright and sunny, but not quite as hot. Last night was awful, it was sooooo hot I didn't get any sleep.

It's really depressing to miss out on sale offer like that. What's even worse is paying $50 for something then finding out a few days later that it's on special offer for $9. Sounds like your really enjoying the game, so play it, have fun and forget the $$$ it cost.

According to some sources Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the longest word in Welsh. But Welsh does indeed have some weird looking words. I spent several holidays in Wales and have noticed the rise of Welsh in signage, on almost all signage Welsh is at the top with the English translation underneath, the supermarket I used when on my last visit had the English text in half the point size of the Welsh. Here's a random Welsh sign that you see in lots of places: llwybr cyhoeddus it means Public footpath. I once tried to learn Welsh, but didn't get very far with it. Finally, the friend who I went on holiday with and myself decided that the Welsh phrase "Dim Aros" would make a wonderful insult, as in "You dim aros!", actually it means "No waiting".

I watched an unusual anime the other day, it's called Girls' Last Tour. It takes place in a world where almost the entire population has been wiped out following some unexplained apocalypse and and follows the adventures of two young girls as they journey through the ruins of civilisation in their trusty Kettenkrad, which is a rather neat half-track motorcycle built by the Germans in WW II. The city they are exploring has many different levels and as they find strange places, some of which are derelict and decaying others are still functioning and have a high level of technology. There's not much in the way of storyline and each episode consists of two or three incidents which are only connected with each other by the fact that they are events along the way in the girl's journey. As befits an abandoned city, the background artwork is drab and dull, and even dark in some places, but it conveys the atmosphere of a decaying city very well. The background music is excellent has a haunting style that fits the visuals perfectly. It would be easy to give up on this series after a couple of episodes, but in doing so you'd miss out on a series that is both unique and intriguing.

That's interesting, I never knew that. It reminds me of that famous place in Wales: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Which translates as: The church of Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near the fierce whirlpool and the church of Tysilio by the red cave. The locals apparently just call it Llanfir PG.
