  1. I love this anime so much. Can we just give Rei a big hug? x3
  2. I like the Advent Children banner you have on your profile! ^^

  3. Aww, thanks! I've actually been told to grow out of the habit but NEVER! It's so weird to buy something you like and years later it becomes vintage. We have a lot of open markets in my area and I love looking at all the fantasy work that they do. People have incredible skills when it comes to their craft! Dragons are eternal. x3
  4. It is! Seems like it's gaining traction again? I see it talked about on MAL more than usual and then there's the movie coming this Fall. I'm sure it will attract new audiences.~ HOLY HELL Adam on SK8 is creeepy! Someone save Langa!!
  5. Have a good day today! ^^

Forgot to put it in the message but I think you might like Violet Evergarden. I finished it last month and thought it was good.

I've heard so much about it and it looks beautiful! Will eventually get around to it, some of the color schemes remind me of Howl's Moving Castle. Very serene and theatrical.

  6. This might seem kind of silly but when I was younger, I collected a lot of dragons and wizards. I've been in love with fantasy themes since forever. My favorite item is a sculpted piece called Merlin the Wizard and the Dragon, by artist Marjorie Sarnat. http://www.lifetimecollectibles.com/product/5756 This one. ^^
  7. This masterpiece still gives me chills! Thank you Nobuo Uematsu! The Danish National Symphony Orchestra performs my favorite version of this composition.
  8. I haven't seen AoT yet and was planning to when it finally finished, so I could see the seasons back-to-back. I have Slam Dunk on hold to finish Sk8 the Infinity. Cute show but Adam, oof, what a creeper! Plan to watch Mashiro no Oto as a friend recommended it when hearing that I liked the Shamisen. Very excited to start watching!
  9. I only finished The Land of Waves Arc in Naruto and never got back to the anime. Mostly because of school. It was so good though! Zabuza, Haku and Shikamaru are my favorite characters. ^^

Zabuza and Haku are kind of a fucked up bond but still it's strangely wholesome in the end. And they are in fact actually dead... but if you stick with the Series long enough... you do get one last chance to see both of them again 👀

That is a heavy hitting anime list you grew up with, one of the first times a stranger has thrown a list out like that where I've actually SEEN a decent amount of each of them lol.

Early Pokemon was nice ESPECIALLY the movies, I've seen all of DBZ and Sailor Moon (though I dont recall SM as much), saw like 80% of Bleach sporadically over time and like... 50 random episodes of One Piece. I think streaming and binge culture have cheapened the experience personally, I feel what you're saying about all these short anime that are consumed in a weeks time.

I feel like moderation and choosing to take a few months to watch a longer anime instead of consuming as fast as possible makes a stronger bond between the viewer and the show. It's having something represent a whole ass time in your life instead of... like... your life between April 2nd and April 6th 🙃

I haven't seen Beck or Nana, but a quick google search tells me you're probably really into music if those 2 shows really spoke to you lol

They are! I've heard about that but I just like playing as them in the Clash of Ninja series and pretending they didn't die. xD

Oh yeah? Which were your favorites? Kind of strange that Bleach is coming back for its final manga arc. It's like seeing an old friend again. <3

I think that's why my anime repertoire is lacking in comparison to others. I take a long while on 50+ episodes. Well, in my own defense, most of these shows aired daily an episode or two at a time!

Music is a nice sub-genre but I really like the Slice of Life aspect of these two shows a little more. :)

I think DBZ would be my favorite of the group with Bleach being right behind. There's already thousands of people out there that can explain why DBZ is so good, but I will say that with Bleach the action was always tight and flashy EVEN when it came to side characters getting the spotlight. Love Rukia, Ichigo, Hitsugaya, KENPACHI, love the early art style and everyones designs, and of course LOTS of good opening and ending themes. I dont know a thing about the upcoming anime arc, but you're right it's like an old face you havent seen since you were a kid 😁

Is "slice of life" your go-to genre of anime? I've seen my fair share "Azumanga Daioh", "Lucky Star", "Komi Can't Communicate", they all feel really cozy to me lol

  10. Hope you guys had a great weekend. :) Finally got a break today, went to the coast. Had one of my favorite drinks, strawberry coconut milk tea! Then ate watermelon and watched the sailboats go by. It was nice getting to rest in the sun and swim a little. 🐚🌞🌊

  11. Happy late birthday!~ I love Digimon. *-* Happy late birthday Soramee! Hope your day was good!
  12. Bad Reputation - Joan Jett, self-released in 1980 and re-issued on Boardwalk Records in 1981.
  13. A few days ago I was recommended Vampire Knight but I have some stuff going on so it's kind of been a drag to watch anything right now. Erm, you guessed it, I dropped Vampire Knight. Hard. What is this mess!? Siblings? SIBLINGS!!? You okay, Hino?
  14. I try to binge but I never make it beyond three or four episodes. You're right about the necessary sacrifice in time and schedule for a truly good anime! I've actually lost sleep to binge shows but yeah, I agree that they're rare occurrences. Same! I like watching around dinner and taking a few minutes to relax before bed. You know how life goes though, it can be a real pleasure killer. Recently I've been helping my mom out, so I've been watching at random times. Sometimes pausing in the middle of an episode and returning hours later. I haven't watched anything in a few days because I feel like the method above wasn't allowing me to absorb anything. Things will get back to normal soon! Gah, I never watch television. Except for M*A*S*H, that's my favorite show. LOL!
  15. When you put it that way! Funny. It was unfortunate to become disinterested but maybe I will return to it and watch it over again. Thank you for taking the time to give another perspective. I like that JJK left you with such an impression and that you shared it with me. It's natural when interests change and if I ever do revisit Jujutsu Kaisen I'd love to talk about it here!
  16. Peach, Peachie or Peachy are names I've always used on my social networking accounts. I'm a long time member on DeviantArt, it's the first site I joined using the name. There's not much history to it other than being fond of peaches and taking the name from my favorite lip balm called Peachy Peach.
  17. RahXephon is one underrated mecha anime and I haven't seen Guyver in a while!
  18. Good morning Anime Forums, happy weekend! 😊 ~~

How have you been? The week has been so nice over here, sunny and warm weather. I live in a community that has wild peacocks and they've been so vocal in the mornings. ^^ I'll show you guys a picture of my favorite duo, they're a couple of comedians. I'm under the suspicion that they're roosters in disguise. <.<

    I got to take part in the J. R. R. Tolkien live reading a few days ago, that was fun! Your girl also won a Slam Dunk contest and won a lot of goodies. Although it was mostly Rukawa and Mitsui themed and there wasn't much merch. on Ryota. ;-;

Yesterday I skipped class to relax at the lake with my mother. She's going into surgery today for her appendix. So I guess I'll see you guys later. x3 Have a good day today everyone!

She's doing good, thanks for asking! :) Making me into a maid now that she's in recovery. xD

  19. I wouldn't call them a talent because they are things I had to practice and get better at. I've been in choir since middle school and have followed it well into college. I am a Mezzo-soprano that has studied under a German instructor for a decade. I've been trying to learn the Shamisen for four years after getting inspired through a friend. If that counts? I suppose my only real talent is having flexibility and dexterity. In middle school I thought about following gymnastics but it was starting to get inconvenient for my parents. That's it. I'm a bendy girl that likes to bellow out notes from the soft palate.
  20. I forgot what episode it was but it was the one where Junpei brings Itadori to meet his mom. Gege commented that JJK was inspired by works like Bleach and YuYu Hakusho. There's quite a few elements from Naruto and HxH too. I don't think JJK is a bad anime! It just feels like déjà vu. Losing interest happened on its own. v.v ~~
  21. I know what you mean! There must be 35-40 anime on my Plan to Watch list by now. Yes! ^^ I'm looking forward to another season one day!
  22. I honestly wish that I could do something like that! Anime is one of my favorite hobbies but other things always require my attention. ;-; It leaves me so far behind to where it takes me forever to finish a show. Sailor Moon and DBZ got me into anime, fun times! NGE is good, I'm happy it secured your interest. ^^
  23. I love walking around my city too and appreciate all the people that I see. Everyone busy at work, living their lives. Wiping the sweat from their brow or getting their hands dirty in construction. I have some street photography on my DeviantArt account, it's my favorite theme! ^^ It's okay, I think the word introvert, in and of itself, is largely misunderstood anyway. So nice that you're discovering things about yourself.
  24. How is your day going Anime Forum? Getting some work done but listening to Whatta Man by Salt-N-Pepa.
