To be fair anime characters are not made of meat at all. They are intentionally drawn the way they are and voiced to say stuff... often twice if you include the eNGLISH DUB AS WELL AS SUBTITLES.

Actually I personally see cartoon characters as little more than shadow puppets, but i was wondering if anyon got equally upset about reating men as sexual objects in anime as they do women.

Again, why is everyone acting like this is exclusively an Eastern concept? All animation has had girls with large breasts from the beginning. Betty Boop and Red Hot Red Ridinghood... up to June and Asami in Avatar. Big boobs are sexy, funny, and at times useful. It's not as if the Eastern Cultures have not had large boobs in art before. have you seen some of the statues? It was just impolite and potentially dangerous to mention that Kwan Yin and Kali and various other goddesses and demons are rather stacked.

I do know of the when they Cry Sequels. Not bad, but not really as scary as season 1. Meiruko-chan is one of those anime that they made before the manga finished. Like how Walter wasn't a traitor in the original Helsing and there aren't supposed to be any nazis in Fullmetal alchemist. Still you have to love the concept. It's sort of like ghost Whisperer, only where most of what she sees seem to be scary demons rather than nice ghosts looking for help so she solves the problem by ignoring them The hard part is finding something genuinely scary that doesn't just make me laugh

You may be overstating the popularity here, considering they were originally Tamagachis. Also not every Digimon series has exactly been a smash hit as well as changes... did any digimon poop after the first season? Much of the show has beene xemplary. I'm a particular fan of Digimon tamers when the human sidekicks FINALLY got off their butts and actually did somethingbesides treat their partners lick roosters in a fight. However you can't really claim Digimon is all that different from any other monster fighting/taming/collecting series be it a Robattle , pokemon, Bakugan, Beyblade, Yugioh, Duel Masters, Monster Rancher, Dinosaur King, Fighting Foodons, Zoids, Card Captors, Zatch bell, Ultimate Muscle, and the rest. Actually in all of them the humans are pretty much superfluous and are usually around because many of the monsters can't talk or they need something to get the kids to relate.

What would anime be like without large boobs? Hmmm... actually that might make a good fan fic... something like It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol... But anyway whatever anime you're thinking of that has large breasted characters as a main element, what would it be like if it was redone and those characters were flat chested? How would losing the giant breasts affect the show/manga? And to be fair some anime companies, like 4Kids... have tried it.
