Hello AF hope everyone is doing well this fine day. I have some great news to share with everyone. The members asked for it, and you got. Upon reviewing the recent interest in the Creative Corner we have decided to give it another try from a different approach. We had some issues before with a lot of random YouTube videos being posted which is why it was decided back then to end the Creative Corner forum. Though with the recent interest, and some thought on how we can go about it going forward we have decided to bring it back for everyone. It is still a work in progress at this time. Though it is open for posting if you wish to post your art, writing, graphics, and the like. Please note at this time YouTube videos are not allowed presently. I am working on a good way to work them in to be used for certain things so don't worry at the end of the day they will be allowed for editorial/descriptive purposes. Just while we are ironing everything out please refrain from posting them. Thank you for your understanding to this. We will also be revamping the forum guidelines to be more streamlined and easier to for all. So please stay tuned for that. Thank you everyone for being part of our family here at AF, and hope to see you around the forums. ^^

Its actually gonna be nice out today around mid to upper 30s from what my weather app says.

I am feeling pretty good today pretty excited for a number of reasons.

Finished Madoka Magica the other day, and now on ep 3 of Danmachi. Its pretty food very funny with plenty of fan service. Thats all I am gonna say to keep spoilers out. Its worth the watch, but prob something I would not have picked up on my own. Its a bit hyper for me.

Watched the gaming news from my Youtubers, and played some Super Smash for 3DS.

Far as I am concerned they have been milking the db fandom for thee past fricken decade. GT in my opinion while interesting sucked compared to Z. Super did quite a bit better its a great anime in its own right though it still cannot hold up against DBZ. From what I have read there is the movie that released in Dec 2018. Far as the series goes most information I am pulling up seems to say the manga is going to continue though the tournament of power arc was the last for the anime. If that is the case I would personally be sure just with that. I enjoyed the manga for Super just as much as the anime if not even a bit more honestly.

I love Cosplay I have done it many times at several cons. I haven't the past couple years because of money troubles. Though hoping to this year or next. I think a section for it would be great for the Creative Corner area.

The best way I can properly compare the two sites is to use the apples vs oranges theory, MAL is great yes, but it is less about the forum, and far more about the content its almost like a anime Facebook if it had a feed like Twitter, or Tumblr. AF.net aka here is more of a traditional forum community. Less about anime content itself, and more about the dissolution of said content as well as taking part in many various fandom activities.

I never used Amazon Prime for anime though I know there is a decent amount on there. Far as Netflix is concerned one that is worth mentioning is Violet Evergarden. Another good one from Netflix is Seven Deadly Sins. Far as Hulu goes I would agree with Brycec in particular with No Game No Life. I really like that series quite a bit. If I am being completely honest though apart from Netflix I don't use Amazon for their streaming service. I use it more for the shopping for collectibles. I don't use Hulu either, but I do know that in terms of Hulu VS Netflix your gonna have a big difference in options. Almost all the anime from Netflix much like its other shows are so called Netflix original anime. Though thats different then their original shows since its basically a anime artist having their show licensed with Netflix rather then a network. In terms of Hulu from what I have seen, and heard its mostly older stuff with a lot of newer still tossed in there. Though hulu tends not to get the latest of anything including anime. Though they do get it soon enough. My suggestion if your watching Julu would be pretty much any older Shounen. Though again as Brycec mentioned Funimation, Crunchy are gonna give you a better expense apart from the various free streaming sites out there.

Watched a lot of gaming news like always and also played some Mario Kart 7 for 3ds. Gonna be watching some Lets Plays soon.

I personalty would love to see a cosplay section in the future on AF, but perhaps not just for anime rather more for general cosplay which would cover anime, gaming, comics and beyond. Far as the contest is concerned I'd say sounds fun, but as I only have 2 cosplays myself presently and they are packed away at my parents house I won't be taking part this time. I will however keep a eye on this topic as well as the creative corner category idea as it seems to really being getting popular. In fact personally I think a cosplay forum section would fit rather nice in the Creative Corner category since it is itself a form of artistic expression. I do think the contest is a great idea and would also be good judge if we should add a contests forum section as well for future hopefully more regular contests.
