  1. Even more offended then ! Although I've found that "ti" and "chi", and "du" and "zu" appear to be interchangeable, however that doesn't justify my "do" and "to" ! Yeah, I've joked about that too, that this is Hypnos Prime (a reference to DC) !
  2. True, I'm unable to find the live action to The Kabocha Wine (well, other than buying it on DVD, and importing it), although I found Negima!! by chance, on Vimeo -need to get back to watching that, at somepoint! Still need to watch Hell Teacher Nube with subs, although, I don't know, the live action wasn't really my thing, personally, plus they changed the character designs of the students (well they also set it in secondary school, rather than primary); Miki in the anime and manga has short hair with a ribbon or hairband, but the live action, she has twintails! The actress playing her, also plays Misa in the Death Note Live Action Television Series!
  3. Not got round to watching it yet! You know there's a live action version too? Was released in 2013, I only know because I stumbled across it because one of the actresses, Mariya Nishiuchi is the new Honey Kisaragi for Cutey Honey: Tears!
  4. Thanks, Koumi! So, after watching both videos, first time interrupting one, to check the other, before going back to the first video, and second time playing each video on their own, I have a couple of points to make: Indecision - if they don't do something, time will pass them by, I wouldn't have translated it as "we'll be adults", but as I said, I actually don't have any eduction in Japanese, just watching so much anime, that Japanese seems to be creeping into my head; Under Pressure - Yamato tells Taichi he no longer has to feel pressured into forming Omegamon, now that the others are achieving Ultimate; Evil Himekawa - feel like I might have to re-watch movie 2, again, was the smirk because she was evil, or just closer to the root of the infection; Non-chalant - even when infected, it appears that Patamon is unfazed; Lying Himekawa - is she actually evil (she knew Meicoomon would be caught by "the Kaiser", or she is working with/controlling "the Kaiser"), or is she just covering up the government's mistakes (they caused the infection); Tsundere - thought as much, thought Mimi was crying out "tsundere, tsundere"; D3 and crests - with the D3 appearing whilst Himekawa is speaking, it makes me wonder if Himekawa is controlling "the Kaiser", although as she mentions about the crests, she might not be a villain, or just a damn good actor; Digital Gate open, chosen children, let's roll - personally I think it might be "a" Digital World, rather than "the" Digital World that they've opened a gate to! Incorrect points from the review: The "portrait" behind Jou - most probably the television/monitor screen in Koushiro's office, rather than a portrait; You Shall Not Pass - the one shouting about stopping the other from advancing is most probably Meicoomon++, rather than Greymon; Taichi-san, let's go - rather than this being spoken by one person, I think only the first part is spoken by Koushiro, the second part is actually Taichi himself! In the scene of Greymon vs. Meicoomon++, the voice sounded to me like it had more of an accent than usual Japanese, Todori, obviously, although it sounded Kansai to me which, I'm sure would offend people from Todori and Kansai regions by saying that !
  5. Need to get round to watching this at somepoint, along with Fate/Zero and Fate/Kaleid! Seen the original series, the UBW movie, just recently seen the Saber route OVA (Fate/Stay Night Television Reproduction OVA) which, compresses twenty four episodes into two hours, I've also seen Carnival Phantasm which, is a parody series -if you like Lancer deaths, what that series , there's one (at least) every episode-, and Tsukihime Lunar Legend which, takes place in the same universe! The first episode of the OVA started very faithful, it was crazy -it's just a shame it wasn't over-the-top-crazy faithful, with the second episode featured a remix of Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni, rather than both episodes featuring a remix to Disillusion-, it was like watching the series, but in 16:9 not 4:3, although then the OVA started missing out bit of "cool" dialogue as it moved closer to the next episode! Sakura is my favourite character; I just want to save her from the injustice in the world, "I have arrived, New Hero Spirit, Class - Saver" ! Saver's even a class now, as of Fate/Grand Order! I'm currently playing through Fate/Extra CCC which, is kinda like a send up for Sakura, given that a number of character look like her: BB, Passionlip, Meltlilith, Kingprotea (manga only), Kazuradrop (manga only) and Violet (manga only)! I've also found out that a third game is on the way (with Mamiko Noto voicing a servant, although to cheat on Caster with Mamiko Noto...?), and that XSEED may be bringing this one to the west, even though they didn't bring CCC to the west, so gotta hurry up and finish CCC! I'm also looking forward to Heaven's Feel next year, that's the Sakura route! I didn't think they were going to adapt it, because I hear it's the most hentai of routes!
  6. You tried anime-on-line (MVM's store, although has stock for other distributors, and not just anime)? Not been on the site since they changed the payment method due to the site's security being compromised! There's also ricedigital, I think they've had a Steins;Gate calendar, and possibly others, the calendars are probably more game related, but a number of games either have "anime scences" or anime series spin-off from them! Not been on ricedigital for a while either, but that's just because I've not got money to burn !
  7. Ok, *checks again*, no, the icon's there (both in new section, and movie section), but it still tells me the video isn't available! I don't think they really update the English side, but not checked it in a while! Thanks, @Koumi! Right so couldn't really make anything out with my non-existent Japanese, well except morality featured again, can't remember if they said "is it right?" or "is it wrong?", but when it boils down to it, those questions are the same! So we see Patamon's infected, which was something I believe ssjup told us, earlier from an article, but also it appears that Ken's Digivice features in this movie! So Digimon Fes next month! Wonder what we'll get from it, hopefully a bit more information on this movie, and probably some more information on the new series on its way!
  8. It is strange them making changes to pre-established characters, I understand that usually it's because the current "version" is not what they're after, but it's strange to do it, to something pre-established in that continuity; a movie may change a character, but could argue that the original version worked in the book continuity, and wouldn't fit in the movie continuity, unless altered, etc.! Best idea is always to go back to the start, as there may be something that you've forgotten that will play a "key" part later ! Although if you did want to know where you were up to, looking up synopsis online could have helped, perhaps !
  9. That was me and my university coursework, well, not all of it, but didn't turn up for a key lecture, and so I couldn't expand on a point in my university coursework, and I asked the all powerful internet for help, and it gave me nothing! It turns out, I could have asked one of my friends what the answer was, but didn't realise she'd picked that same subject in the module, until we'd submitted the coursework! Famous last words! Just gone on the site now, and apparently the "video is no longer available"!
  10. I can't shake the feeling there was something wrong with Hunters, although I rewatched it recently, and thought "there's nothing wrong with it, what was I thinking?" It could be that the last time I watched it, was part of a Digimonathon, going Tamers, Frontier, Savers, Adventure, 02 and Xros Wars, so when I got to Xros Wars II, I was all Digimon'd out, perhaps, or perhaps it was the change in gear, or the changes between it and Xros Wars, the one Digimon out at a time thing, etc.! Watched the series in this order because I never saw Frontier or Savers, as Frontier never came to the UK, and Savers was on digital television only, whilst I only saw the first couple of episodes of Tamers, before it got dropped, along with Pokémon Advanced, for some reason! You are aware Fall and Autumn are the same, Autumn is what we British people say (and possibly some other countries, but don't want to name any, in case I'm wrong)! Plus I could be looking at this too black and white "we say Autumn, you say Fall, etc.", because I hear that "mom" is not a standardised reference to mother in America, as some places do say "mum", apparently! I actually threw a PDF that was linked to on Wikimon through Google Translate to see if there was any information not mentioned in the web articles, appears there wasn't!
  11. Wow, I think I need to review the correctness of my posts more "I'm not considering if I want to watch"! I know what you mean about difficult DVD players/discs, I have some DVDs that have to be played on a certain device, else I can't watch them! Thanks for the information, it's interesting about that character re-write, I found a similar thing with Dirty Pair, I think it was with the OVAs (or OVAs and movies), but sometimes Yuri was made the smart one, and Kei the idiot, and then somehow, it was the other way around, when the subject matter (i.e. genetics, or something) was the same!
  12. Stumbled across this yesterday: Live Action adaptation of Kiki's Delivery Service, it came out in 2014! Apparently it did not fare well with the critics, with Film Business Asia giving it 4/10, and Variety giving it a negative review; bland, charmless, undramatic, Fuka Koshiba too mature and perky for waifish 13 year old Kiki, 20th century CGI! I didn't find anything wrong with it, well, I'll agree about the computer generated effects, but I only found it a problem on Jiji and the Hippo club, Maruko! There are quite a number of similarities between it and the Ghibli movie (especially if some of the lines in the movie were not just creative translating), although the two differ in other areas! Looking at nausicaa.net it appears that the Ghibli movie differs somewhat from the original book, with the loss of Kiki's powers, including inability to talk to Jiji (although in the dub only, this returns), and the blimp! Similar to the Ghibli movie, the live action movie does also feature Kiki losing her powers, but not her ability to speak to Jiji, it also features the delivery of a Hippo, and hints that Kiki will/has to return home at the end of the year, both of which, feature in the book(s)!
  13. Male Seiyuu The first seiyuu that sprung to mind was Shin'ichiro Miki, who is the seiyuu for Kojiro (James) in the original version of Pokémon, and Assassin in Fate/Stay Night! Another seiyuu that popped into my head was the previously mentioned Jun Fukuyama, who is the seiyuu for Takanashi Souta in Working!!, and Sado Taro in MM!, both involve his character being beaten up by a female character (in Working!! it's Inami Mahiru, and in MM! it's Yuuno Arashiko), he also plays a perverted character in D-Frag!, and to break the exclamation mark continuity, Watanuki in xxxHOLiC! Ohh! The "Neko-gumi" (Working!!) are finally getting an anime (WWW-Working!!), after first appearing in joke trailer for Working'!! (Series 2 of Working!!) that stated the series would follow that group, before another trailer came out, revealing that the second series would continue to follow the "Inu-gumi", as with the first series! There's even a third series, I'm so behind! Female Seiyuu It's a bit difficult to nail down my favourites, however the first seiyuu to pop into my head were: Mamiko Noto, who is the seiyuu for Miyazaki Nodoka in Negima! (and Negima!?) Tojou Aya in Ichigo 100% (forgot about that), Accela in Solty Rei, Amaha in Witchblade (still got to get round to watching that), Tiffania Westwood in Zero no Tsukaima, Oichi in Sengoku Basara, Koma Morishita in SKET Dance (not got up to that part of the series yet) - there are a couple of roles (not listed) that I would have thought out of character for her, but seems she makes them work; Yukari Tamura, who is the seiyuu for Takamachi Nanoha in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Rose in King of Bandit, Jing (forgotten about that one), Akazukin in Otogi-Juushi Akazukin, Mai Mai in Itsudatte my Santa, Navi in Kaizaku Sentai Gokaiger, Ink in Moetan, Hilda in Stella Glow (didn't realise it was out already, downloaded a demo, but never played it, because it was a limited play demo), I also like her more blues type voice on some of her singles/albums! There are a couple of others, however, after much surfing on the internet, looking at the credits for various seiyuu, I've decided it might be best to stick with the seiyuu that first popped into my head, otherwise the list would be too numerous!
  14. This week appears to be cartoons that became anime: Disk Wars: Avengers - Wasp, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Hulk find themselves trapped inside DISKs by Loki; the DISKs were originally co-created by Tony Stark as a capturing device for criminals, however he never imagined that he himself would be caught in one! It's now up to five kids, Jessica, Akira, Chris, Hikaru and Ed, who each have a matching bio-signature to one of five heroes, to work with the heroes, and stop Loki's plans! [spoiler=It's kinda Pokémon meets Digimon Frontier meets Wonder Momo meets Cardcaptor Sakura or Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha...]Heroes and Villains are captured inside DISKs, is similar to Pokémon, where Pokémon are caught and stored in Pokéballs; Five kids "release" their heroes, who call out their moves when attacking (although for Hulk, that's not new, so does that mean he was a Digimon to begin with!?), is similar to Digimon Frontier, where five chosen children, who wield souls of legendary Digimon; the heroes only have a limited time to be "initialised", is similar to Wonder Momo, where Momoko and Akiho can only be in their superhero persona for a limited time, although Momoko does remove her limiter, to hilarious consequences, not sure if that's a comic only thing though, and not sure if that bit got published, as I believe at least half the web comic is still unpublished; the DISKs are scattered across the globe, is similar to Cardcaptor Sakura/Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, where Sakura/Nanoha search for the scattered Clow Cards/Jewel Seeds)! Powerpuff Girls Z - The unresponsive Chemical X is changed when a lucky bean bun falls into its vat, the new chemical is named Chemical Z by Professor Utonium, however before he has a chance to test the new chemical, his son, Ken uses it to destroy an iceberg in Tokyo City that appears to be having an effect on the weather around the world! The collision between Chemical Z and the iceberg causes rays of white and black light to shine over the city, the white light strikes Momoko, Miyako and Kaoru (Hyper Blossom, Rolling Bubble and Powered Buttercup), turning them into the Powerpuff Girls Z, whilst the dark light strikes others, like Mojo, turning them into villains! [spoiler=No idea why I decided to watch this, didn't watch the original cartoon...]Well, not true, think I watched the original cartoon, that sort of pilot, but then we moved, and I couldn't get all the channels of the original idiot box which, was probably healthy! Anyway, I saw this and thought "well, can't think of anything I want to watch, so as nothing springs to mind, I guess you're it!" Like Disk Wars, I kinda got a Digimon vibe from this too, although Digimon Tamers: a small animal (Peach the talking robotic dog) triggers the Powerpuff Girls Z transformation, just like Culumon in Tamers, and Tomoko Kaneda is the seiyuu for both! A further extension on this is that later on, the Powerpuff Girls Z can trigger their own transformations, similar to how later on in Tamers, the Tamers don't need Culumon to trigger evolution! Occasionally, Blossom sounded like Izumi, but she wasn't voiced by Sawa Ishige, and Buttercup sounded like Takuya, but she wasn't voiced by Junko Takeuchi, I was surpised to find Ken and Tomoki didn't share the same seiyuu, as I felt they sounded the same often, and the closest I could think of Bubbles sounding like, was Terriermon!
  15. Everyone's favourite trap in Boku no Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Yukimura... [spoiler=is...]not a trap!!
  16. Haven't collected any items recently, I buy the occasional Trading Card (via ebay), if I like the look of it, but other than that! Oh and the Pokémon manga, if that counts, although not bought that in a while, I was actually buying the Singaporean English version, although now the distributor's changed (unfortunately the original one went into liquidation), I fear that they'll use the American version, with all its edits! If they released some figures of characters other than Ash, I might be tempted - I know he's the main character, but vary it up a bit, there are other (starter) trainers too! I do have some items from the 90s, like Psyduck and Pokéball (clasp recently broke by my nephew), Pikachu with bubbles (think it was actually my sister's), Pikachu plushie (used to talk, now constantly fought over by my niece and nephew), three soft toys from Burger King (coinciding with the Power of One) and one poster from Burger King (coinciding with the Power of One)! That said, I did purchase Omega Ruby from a specific website to get a Torchic Keyring, and pre-ordered X from a specific store to get a B2W2 Comic, however they changed the offer later, which was annoying!
  17. I preferred the later series, the Original Series featured Misty regularly bringing up the fact Ash broke her bike, whilst when the same thing happened in Advance Generation, May wasn't as bothered (although I think she might have brought it up once or twice, for leverage), again the same thing happened in Diamond and Pearl, Pikachu destroyed another bike, Dawn's! Advance Generation onwards tried to create dual protagonists, taking complete focus off Ash, although it seems Diamond and Pearl might have taken it a bit far, as Best Wishes went back to the balance found in Advance Generation, although X and Y seems to have taken a step forward again, with Serena! The later series of Pokémon are more structured than the Original Series, in that they always have a showdown between the Villainous Team for that Region, whereas the Original Series did not, however the Original Series, well the first 82 episodes were planned to be just advertisement for the Generation I games, and they didn't plan to flesh out the Pokémon "World", hence Generation I having mentions to real world things like animals and locations, some of which are changed in later versions, such as the dub to Pokémon Origins! Ash is still ten, the world broke when Ash turned ten! Well not really, as May, Dawn and Serena also turned ten, at later dates - time's just going really really slow! I've just had a thought, what if Pokémon "Earth" does not follow the same rules as our Earth, after all, the other planets of our solar system have longer years than we do, was just looking at an article then (just in case I wanted to quote actual figures, although made me rage because of the fact current education does not class Pluto as a planet anymore :'()! According to the dub, a year and a half had passed when Pikachu and Pichu (Special) was set, but that was dub only dialogue! Actually, some people comment that Ash has either shrunk, or his mother has grown, given a height comparison of the two in the Original Series, and one of the later series, possibly the current! If I'm honest, I've not watched Pokémon in a while, last movie they released in the UK was movie 15, Universal made a song and dance of how they were the ENGLISH Language distributors, but appear to have forgotten that ENGLISH does not just mean America, after all, where did English come from ? Citv (UK children's channel) might have shown the newer movies, but not got round to checking what they have on, since I stopped setting up the series to tape, which was a shame because when I stopped, Citv were finally showing the bits of Advance Generation that they missed out all those years ago, when they dropped Pokémon (and Digimon)! If I can, I like to watch the Japanese version of Pokémon these days, which is no problem for the newer series, but the older series, are a bit harder to come by! I did find a great site, with episodes on (no subs though), however then the Governments started cracking down on File Storage websites (some even closed down), and so the sites "purged" customer accounts, as if dumping cargo at the sight of Customs and Excise!
  18. Technically not sequels, but looking forward to: So that's Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel (left) and Fate/Extra: Last Encore (right)! Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel Sure, the first image is of another Fate/Stay Night, but this time it follows the Sakura route!! Probably helps that I've not seen Unlimited Bladeworks (the Rin route) yet (so I've not been overkilled by Fate/Stay Night), well the series, I did see the movie version that preceeded it! Whilst on the Saber route side of things, I've seen the original television series, released around ten years ago, but not the Reproduction OVAs released to coincide with the UBW movie! I didn't think they were going to adapt Sakura's route, because I thought they'd deem it too hentai to edit without ruining it! It's quite sad to hear about all the things that happen to Sakura in Fate/Stay Night, that you only learn about on the Heaven's Feel route! Fate/Extra: Last Encore As for the second image, it's an adaptation of the Fate/Extra game, which saw a release to the west, and set in an alternate universe to Fate/Stay Night, where a hero (or heroine) will select from one of three starter Pokémon Servants (Saber - see above; Archer - looks like the same one from Fate/Stay Night; Caster - original character), and participate in the Holy Grail War! Last Encore implies that it will focus only really on the events at the end of the game, it might speed through the events leading up to the end, but who knows! It's a shame they didn't adapt Fate/Extra CCC, because that wasn't released to the west, and then we'd know what actually is going on in that game, although if they did adapt Fate/Extra CCC, would it be based on the game, or the manga; if it adapted the manga, that would mean the inclusion of Kingprotea and other manga exclusive Alter Egos, and reduced importance of Passionlip and Meltlilith! Whilst I'd welcome the inclusion of Kingprotea and the other manga exclusive Alter Egos (they were planned to be included in the game, but they ran out of time), I'd be unhappy with the reduced importance of Passionlip and Meltlilith! Just found out that a third game is on the way, for PS4 and Vita, so I'm going to have to get a PS4 or Vita at somepoint! It seems that XSEED has already registered a domain name for the new game, even though they didn't release the second game! EDIT: Waa! Mamiko Noto is the seiyuu for a new Servant in Exella (they appear to have done away with Archer)! Mamiko Noto...! Do I cheat on Caster with Mamiko Noto?
  19. Interesting fact that the two seiyuu starred together in two anime, although to be honest, it's probably not that uncommon! Think I've only seen a couple of episodes of Tenchi Muyo, and that was as the dub, and I wasn't too keen on it, although with the release of Ai Tenchi Muyo, I'm not considering if I want to watch the whole of the Tenchi Muyo metaseries to watch Ai Tenchi Muyo, or not! Probably will, it's just finding the time!
  20. Oh!! Wait, I have Akiba's Trip 2 then!? *checks internet* the first game game out on PSP, if I had money to burn I'd go to import that right now, along with Criminal Girls (PSP), but then, I think there might not be any difference between that and the Vita ! Turns out there's an Akiba's Trip Plus, also for the PSP, and a Bakemonogatari game!!
  21. I think I have a BlazBlue Calendar, never used it as a calendar, just bought it for the pictures! Actually, I planned to get this year's BlazBlue Calendar too, but never got round to ordering it! EDIT: "Calendar? What's that?" option is pretty amusing, was quite tempted to pick it !
  22. Wait, there's an Akiba's Trip 2? I need to play that, although I need to play the first game, that's possibly next on the list, after I complete Lost Dimension! However that said, I don't have a PS4 or Vita, so I couldn't play Akiba's Trip 2 if I wanted to !
  23. After I posted this, I noticed that I should have organised the title better, as from the "preview" of the title on the main page, it looked more like it was just a thread about one of her songs! True, the Crunchyroll link that I included features a couple of sketches from Twitter of, what I assume are her various roles, wasn't able to identify all of them, but think Tenchi Muyo was there as well! Ah right, didn't know, that said, when I was searching for the song, I originally only found one that had images of Mewtwo Strikes Back (Pokémon)!
  24. Look forward to more details, had a quick look at the links you provided, and had a look on Wikimon, but further information is lacking at the moment! I originally thought that this series might be like Digimon X movie, with no chosen children (or any humans for that matter), but then I thought I was being a bit dumb, as the theme of this series is mobile phones, thus would "require" humans, my next thought was that the set up of this series might be similar to Hunters!
  25. That's some Pokémon Inception, which has given me a thought... Pokéception: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsd0iqSf49Y Damn Ash, don't take your anger out on May ! There's a couple of others, like one on Vimeo, another on Metacafe, a using , one using , and another using ! Thought the matching of the voices on the Vimeo one was quite good, I would quite like to see Michael Cain as Professor Oak now, if/when the live abomination goes ahead, and who is it that's the "voice of" James in that trailer (also the trailer above, so obviously people thought it was a good fit)? Interestingly enough, the movie (Rise of Darkrai) actually featuring dreams, wasn't used!! Well not on the hits I found ! EDIT: Thought I'd do a better job at recognising Bunny's post, because that's what the "Pokéception" bit was actually meant to be about !
