  1. What is something, other than Zoop, that people would have to pry from your cold, dead hands?
  2. Don't be shocked. You can use whatever name you want here. What is something that people will have to pry from your cold, dead hands?
  3. Had some trouble finding some songs, but here are some that fit the thread Pretty Fly for a White Guy - Offspring http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AltMeuPkWRs Breaking the Habit - Linkin Park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2H4l9RpkwM Girls & Boys - Good Charolette http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FTS2tdmyYM All the Small Things - Blink 182 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ht5RZpzPqw
  4. What place do you wish never existed on our planet?
  5. I agree with most of this. The less often it is used does make it feel more unnatural than if it were common, but even human speech, as it is now, has profanity seem natural. For example, let us say a bomber is talking to his victim on the phone and says, "There's a freaking bomb on the bike" (This is an actual example, with some possible differences). To me, this feels unnatural, because this is something the person on the bike would say, not a bomber, especially if there was no mention of a bomb before.
  6. Don't forget that writers can sometimes have the profanity feel unnatural, like I noted in the OP, and that is a big sign that it is not needed.
  7. Thanks. Problem for me is I do not exactly remember or know the years of when songs came out, unless the music video has something distinguishable, such as Michael Jackson looking more like a human, so I could not really share too much. For now, we will go with these. Beat It - Michael Jackson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRdxUFDoQe0 Thriller - Michael Jackson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnqjkJTMaA
  8. Never saw your 90's thread. You did post a few songs I like here already though, such as Smooth criminal.

    Smoking

For a moment there, I was wonder what you were referring to by vape, and had to look it up. I can see how bothersome the smoking would be.
  10. Maybe, but to compile properly, you need the libraries, and some of those projects get pretty hard to hunt down the libraries for (I guess this is the reason homebrew and MacPorts exists). As for WINE, you need to check the databases and other resources, hoping that somebody got workarounds, and then it is a hope and pray thing, unless you know where to look.

Would you want a teleportation beam, if it existed?
  12. Yes, virtualization exists, but I mean natively (getting Mac IS virtualized on Windows is a hassle).
  13. I cannot really say too much about the show, but it does not sound like the spoiler is that huge, unless even the details surrounding his death were also mentioned.
  14. People have problems with this generally, especially because of the brainwashing and indoctrination that they go through in groups they associate with, but I generally do not care what people think of my opinions, though I do feel hurt when people I considered friends could not accept me like I thought they did. I just think it is more important to be your genuine self.
  15. Knock you out, drag you into the desert, where there is no cell reception, remove any essentials you have that are necessary to survive, set up cameras and watch to see if you will make back to civilization. How would you go about storing 1 quadrillion dollars of your countries currency for safe keeping?
  16. I would take a knife, concealing it in case things turn out in a way I don't want, and see what your objective was. What would you want to destroy with every fiber of your being?
  17. Would you want an operating that could run any program, regardless of what platform it was intended for?
  18. There are a few anime that I use for comparison, but it really depends on what I am being delivered, nothing really that I have obsessed over, at least recently, but Dragon Ball and such was pretty high up there when I went through mandatory schooling.
  19. Things must have changed quite a bit. Forums I setup with somebody in the past never really started off with introduction threads either. Just do not try to start a revolution, peaceful or otherwise.
  20. finish writing up a review and planning to wait on the next batch of books to come. Wish I had enough to get three more Spice & Wolf books.

  21. Not too sure what reminded me of this, but I took it a while back. https://www.minds.com/archive/thumbnail/686260086829490185/xlarge

  22. I know one person that worked for the computer recycling place I used to volunteer at that likes that show too, and tried recommending it to everyone. It was not my cup of tea, but I would not fault you for liking it.

Considering that technology in this sense is what archaeology would call technology, yes. Kind of makes people really think, because we have so many people thinking that technology has made things worse. I would not be able to survive either.

Funny, but million sounds too small. Should put in Graham's number, centillion, googol, or googolplex. What would you do to survive if all technology, from manual and power tools to electronic equipment, ceased to exist?

What would you do if you found a check written out to you that was signed on the front, but dollar amount was missing?
