Prefer subs, but I do enjoy some dubs.

Another I dropped a while ago- Katanagatari. I liked the art style, action, and storyline, but found the dialogue in the first few episodes extremely obnoxious, especially with the bad guys. I've heard some great things about it and I'll probably give it another chance because it's done by the same studio that did Stein's Gate and Re:Zero. Truuuu. When it came to anime especially, I watched pretty watched much anything without a care in the world as a youngin'. "This anime sucks" was no where in my vocab at the time. I do judge them more harshly now as an adult, even taking issue with some of the little things wrong. Had I watched Naruto right now, I probably would've dropped it early on like ItsSammy did.

Sometimes when we start an anime, we like or dislike it. However we feel about it, we may still continue watching to see how it unfolds. Then there comes a time when we say enough is enough and just drop it completely. For me, I dropped Eyeshield 21. As a sports anime, I didn't like its depiction of (American) football. Even though it lays the basic rules for the game quite clearly, they don't always look like they're followed. It doesn't even look like a whole lot of care went into the sport itself because of how dumbed down and incoherent it looks on screen. I really enjoyed it at first because of the colorful cast of characters and humorous situations, but when the worst part of a sports anime is the sport itself, it's a problem for me. What's yours?

Pretty much agree for the same reasons. Season 4 kinda jumps the shark, but it's still pretty entertaining

I usually have a friend hook me up with his animes. Unfortunately most of them turn out to be full of harems so I have to weave through his collection to find a good one.

Inspired by one of Orius's threads (RIP for the time being), this time focusing on television series. Netflix is included. Whether a cartoon or live-action series, I'm sure we all have those moments in television that we absolutely cherish for certain reasons. Feel free to post your favorite scenes, or any great scenes that stand out to you. I like this surprisingly a lot. The characters are a lot more layered than I expected compared to the usual slice of life/romance series out there and it's pretty funny. If I had to pick, I'd say Cotton Candy is my favorite.

Pretty much, maybe unless they have something fresh to show. I definitely agree, although it's not really a controversial opinion anymore. If you check a lot of youtube comments and the IMDB fan reviews, they flame the movie HARD. It's pretty divisive among fans, but universally received by critics. With all the flack Hollywood gets for not being more creative and original, I'm surprised TFA is as acclaimed it is since it's essentially a reboot of ANH. I'd much rather watch the prequels than TFA tbh...
