Fate Stay Night Tv Reproduction 2010
MarathonGuy1337 replied to MediaConsumesMe's topic in Anime Discussion
I found out what it is the Fate Stay Night TV Reproduction is a 2 hour version of the original Fate Stay Night series from 2006. Divided into two parts; Fate Stay Night TV Reproduction I and Fate Stay Night Reproduction II respectfully due to the release of the Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works movie that was developed by the same animation studio, Studio Deen, as the 2006 series which was released in 2010 before the Ufotable Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works series which was released in 2014. They where not dubbed and generally seem regarded kind off poorly as condensing so much plot into such a short run time is very confusing and no one recommended watching this unless you want a refresh before watching the Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works film by Studio Deen. That said everyone loves the new OP and Outro. Oh and it's not dubbed only subbed and I can't find it anywhere but in small broken down pieces all over YouTube. Enjoy! That's the problem when you watch shows that are very long, they become sort of like an addiction

You know I kind of want to know as well Man you started with some heavy shit MediaConsumesMe probably why you where never a big fan of shows like Golden Times and Toradora! Ghost Banri!!!
-
Holy shit you have over 500+ anime completed on your anime list. I should start calling you sensei or something at this point. And your watching 18 shows currently??? I have to know how anyone can do that I struggle with two shows at once!

What got you into Anime? It's a simple enough question but it's one that is always unique and often personal. My story goes something like this. Just watched Star Wars The Forced Awakens, was a moderate fan of star wars and was genuinely interested in how the series would develop under the new owners Disney, and was majorly disappointed with the film. Not long before this I had been also pretty deflated with the release of Halo 5: Guardians, was a big fan of the Halo series. I had all the books, comics and sin of games even the Halo Legend Anime, mind you I got that purely because it was Halo, and was majorly hyped for the release of a new title of the franchise and I had completely bought into all the hype for the games up and coming release role around the actually are release an a big slap of reality. Since both Star Wars and Halo had failed in my eyes I was pretty space for entertainment and craving new content and I just so happened to stumble on the remake of Star Blazers, Space Battleship Yamato 2199, since I was and am a big Sci-Fi nut I watched the show and found myself really enjoying the characters and the plot. To be fair how couldn't I with scenes like this! Once that was finished I realized I wanted to watch more shows like it and complied a list of sci-fi anime shows after watching a bunch of recommended lists on YouTube. Mobile Suit Gundam, Neon Genesis Evangelion and a bunch of others. Eventually I started experimenting away from the Sci-Fi genre starting with Toradora! and other titles and by that point I was pretty much hocked on anime. So that's my story lets here your below!

About to start Legend of the Galactic Heroes (1988) OVA Season 2 finished the first season like just shy of a mouth ago and need to get back on with the next season as the first season was really good. Stopped to watched the Irresponsible Captain Tylor and to give myself a break from a subbed show also watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and am currently on episode 31 so that's going super fast only started it like two weeks ago. Its funny but I didn't mean to be this smug about my intellectual anime tastes when I wrote this Gonna have to find away out of this... Got it! Also plan to watch the second season of Slayers pretty soon because its was super funny! And just like that I avoided being labelled an elitist... few

Toradora! I know not the ending scene but you get the point, Ryuuji gets with Taiga and we assume its a happily ever after. That said Space Battleship Yamato 2199 or the original series has a bitter sweet ending so IDK. RIP Captain Okita

True the original Gundam and to be fair Zeta Gundam and ZZ Gundamm shows are far two winded but that's more reflective of the times it was made in. Need 40+ episodes to sell toys to kids, make sure to get the TV spots for the re-runs whilst where at it, you know that sort of mentality that was the same for He-Man, G.I. Joe and the like form the American 80 cartoons. You know that -

The only three I can think of is Steins Gate 0, Ergo Proxy and Neon Genesis Evangelion. With Steins Gate ) this is more of an issue relating to the anime both recovering already established ideas from the original season and also a lack of materials that could be expanded to cover the number of episodes that they wanted for a full season. Ergo Proxy and Evangelion feel like they keep trending the same ideas over and over again in the mid section rather than taking those ideas and expanding them or exploring them in a more interesting way. Shinji is weak and cowardly, 3 episodes later he's still weak and cowardly whilst Vincent is given so many clues about what he is and what a proxy is and that he is a proxy that it's barely worth exploring here in this post. Ergo/Eva fans please settle down just a little is only a... BANG! -
Haven't dropped any show yet have placed three back into my to watch list though HOTD, the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Planetes. (Don't attack me Haruhi fans I plan to rewatch it at some point) I was just watching way to many shows at the time and personlly found I wasn't getting into them as much as the others.

Unpopular Opinion: I do not care for magical girl anime
MarathonGuy1337 replied to Hanna Fechik's topic in Anime Discussion
Totally agree, the genre is very different to watch I like to watch. That said I've watched a lot of slice or life shows like Toradora, School Rumble and Golden Times, so I honestly don't know why I have such a distasted in magical girl shows maybe its as you say the overly cuties nature of them that puts me off. IDK. Also Ohayotaku what the hell is the Idol Genre????? -
Man their are so many good anime themes and songs. All of the above where top picks for me, especially Kreideprinz with Outlaw Star or MediaConsumesMe with Unlimited Blade Works OP 2 and Psycho-Pass OP 2 but I'm going to go for a timeless classic that you might say is Beyond the Time... mp3-now.com - BEYOND THE TIME Gundam Chars Counterattack Ending Theme Animation MV Sub ENG PTBR ESP KOR.mp4 Okay that was a very bad pun on my part.

Without looking, can you name your last five anime?
MarathonGuy1337 replied to pathospades's topic in Anime Discussion
Lets see it was... The Irresponsible Captain Taylor series Season 1 of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes 1988 OVA series Iria Zeiram The Animation Space Battleship Yamato (1974) series Armitage III OVA series Also watched Jin-Rou, A Wind Named Amnesia and a couple other films just after Iria Zeriam The Animation but since their all films and not shows I don't know if I should count them? Between that however I rewatched a load of shows and films but again don't know if I should count them because I had seen them before Toradora! Mobile Suit Gundam F91 Aim for the top Gunbuster Pycho-Pass Season 1 And I was showing FLCL to a friend but they dropped after episode 3 Me explaining my recent shows and impatient forum users sick of my rambling -
Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket its a short 6 episode OVA series from like 1989 or something. As for the Zero thing I mean I watched it and all but I just preferred Unlimited Blade Works so I put it on the 3X3 Unlimited Blade Works was also good, wouldn't say it beat Zero. I haven't added either Jojo or Baki to MyAnimeLists but have added Hokuto no Ken which I'll get around to at some point or another. Hokuto No Ken fans have patience with me it's like 100 episodes long

Okay so here's my 3X3 and it gives a pretty good picture of the types of anime I'm into. (if I don't say so myself) Outlaw Star, Space Battleship Yamato 2199, Goblin Slayer, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket, Toradora!, Berserk (1997) Steins Gate, Wolfs Rain and Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works Unlike some @MediaConsumesMe I'm wasn't going to be a total try hard and just show all the most pretentious intellectual shows I've watched LMAO. JK MediaConsumesMe JK Average Forum User reacting to my 3X3 I know my tastes are pretty chad for a newbie

what are your anime unpopular opinions?
MarathonGuy1337 replied to thetacogod57's topic in Anime Discussion
Unpopular Anime Opinions? Never a big fan of Spirted Away, I mean it's okay but is nothing special compared to other Ghibli Films Ergo Proxy and Neon Genesis Evangelion, I find kind of pretentious. Like I understand 110% what the story is about and the meta narrative and art wise they both are really good but I just find them a bit boring and like the writing staff where full of themselves with how deep the show was and nuanced the characters. (Remember this is not personal Eva fans) Don't like the Magical Girl genre. I don't care if its Sailor Moon or Madoka Magica don't want to watch it. Record of Lodoss War was also kind of disappointing, I didn't like the time jumps and the story felt overly condescended down Also not a big fan of the Ghost in the Shell film from 1995, I mean Mamoru Oshii films are slow and sometimes they work like in the case of Patlabor 2 but here I felt that the film was overall confused and the plot almost non-existent, like what are they even doing half the time just walking around and maybe hunting for a A.I./hacker and then the whole question of what the difference between organic and synthetic life is brought up and I don't know maybe it's because I grew up in a time period dominate by advances in technology but I don't find the subject that deep or philosophically driving. Finally never understood the Sub Vs. Dub debate. Well that's all I can think off at any rate. -

I recently just found out about the forum from a friend. Since I'm into anime I figured it be great to meet some like mind fellow men/women of culture and find out about any cool new or retro shows from other people with a similar interest. Basically I got into anime a few years back when going to college, watching a a couple different shows. Such as Space Battleship Yamato 2199, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Toradora! among a few others but got more into anime during the lock-down situation. I'm now into all sorts of anime; be them modern or retro, science fiction or slice of life, serious or comedic, long running or a short OVA. Looking forward to any suggestions for what to watch next! I can post a link to MyAnimeList if anyone's interested in any shows I've got under my belt so just ask and I'll post it. Peace.
