78 which is pretty okay. I would still prefer it to be in the lower 70s, but overnight it's going to be low 50s at least.

It was very hot today, 90F. Tomorrow is going to be hotter and we have an air quality alert again.

It won't get back to the 70s again until next week ☹️

It's dull, overcast and raining. But still pleasantly warm.

Same here, but it was more hot than pleasantly warm. Today was the first day of Autumn so I was hoping it would actually feel like it 😭

We had a tornado warning earlier, that was fun. I was at school and we had to move to the basement for about 30 minutes. I don't think there was ever actually one that touched down here though but I think it was somewhere way off on the outskirts of the city. Other than that it was also thunder storming a lot here today and supposed to do even more over night. I just hope I don't wake up to the tornado siren going off at 3 am. I always hate when it's late at night and wakes you up. At that point I'd rather just sleep through it. If Imma die imma die in my comfy bed xD

It's cold, wet and miserable here today.

We don't get tornados here, but we do get floods and the morning news was full of reports of serious flooding in various places with roads turned into rivers and houses and shops being flooded. Thankfully my area wasn't affected as it's reasonably high ground.

Glad you weren't effected, flooding is just as bad x.x At least you are up high too so you have less to worry about.  We are right near the river so we get a lot of that too when it rains a ton. I feel like I should be more concerned about tornados but I'm so used to it xD

We are being told to prepare for bad weather tomorrow when the end of Hurricane Helene moves in. Damaging winds, possible tornadic activity, hail, and flooding are all expected. They've closed most of the schools for tomorrow and it seems a lot of businesses in the area may also be shut down. We were told to expect for power outages and our apartment building sent out an email letting everyone know where the designated safety areas. The city has also set up several shelters at big stadiums for people to come shelter in at if they need it.

I believe we will be fine since we have a sturdy building and flood waters on the 17th floor aren't something I'm very much worry about. Winds and tornado might be an issue so we will just be prepared to go into the hallways or basements if needed to do.

Basically that ^ everyone is bracing for the hurricane and our in person classes and stuff are all moved to online classes. I think it's hitting Florida right now, and will be here sometime before morning.

I've heard news of that hurricane and it sounds like a pretty big and dangerous one so I hope both of you will be OK.

Where I am it's raining heavily and the forecast is that it will continue raining all day. ☔ ☹️

Dark and wet. Hurricane Helene moved through the area around 7pm last night until about 3am this morning. No direct hit, but lots of rain and strong winds. A little bit of debris and some downed trees in my neighborhood, but no significant damage . I lost power about 2am and still had to leave for work around 4am and power had not yet been restored. If that's all I have to complain about, I consider myself blessed. Hope everyone else dealing with Helene is doing ok.  Luckily it has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm as of 5am this morning. Still dangerous, though. Don't relax just yet. Everyone stay safe.

Glad to hear you're OK. I've seen some film of the storm and it looked pretty horrendous.

I've got a sister-in-law who's in Grovetown Georgia, just to the west of Augusta.  She reports trees down, water everywhere, and widespread power outages there too.  I also have a friend who's in Savannah.  😱  Sounds like that part of the country is a very not-fun place to be right now.

I hear there's another couple of hurricanes coming up behind Helene too.  Stay safe!
