For females Like the kundere type the cool wise beyond their years

Like Kirika Yuumura, Kino, Kuro and Boogiepop (Touka)

For Male characters, ones that can be kinda dorky or funny sometimes, but loyal & can count on them when it counts. Examples: Kafka Hibino (Kaiju No. 8 ) Yuji Itadori (JJK) & Saichi Sugimito (Golden Kamuy). Also ones that can think outside the box & come up creative strategies. Examples: Sunraku (Shangri La Frontier) & early MHA Deku.

For female characters, not necessarily tomboy but not overly girly acting (no damsels). Kinda quirky. True to their convictions & passions, but also has a vulnerable & caring side they only show to people they really care about. Examples: Nobara (JJK), Ameri (Iruma-kun), Rin (Yuru Camp), Midori & Kanamori (Eizouken).

My fav protagonist is the main guy from Tokyo Ghoul, Kaneki. I just really like how he change over time — from this quiet bookworm dude to someone much darker but still kinda holding onto his humanity. I guess I’m into that edgy but tragic type lol.

For male chars I usually like the serious kind, but with some deep emotion or pain behind. Not really into the super goofy ones, unless they got some good development.

Female-wise, I’m def into the cool and quiet types too — like Kino or Kirika from Noir. They don’t talk much but you feel a lot from them, y’know?

Cool to read everyone’s picks here btw 😄

I like male protagonists that are funny but also a little bit dumb and determined. About the same for female protagonists but as Ohayotaku stated, not too girly.

Son Goku from Gensomaden Saiyuki who capable of defeating Gods.

Son Goku From Dragon Ball, I like his ultra instict form where Gods stand when he achieved the form.

Gon Freecss from Hunter Hunter because of his natural Zetsu.

Lenka Utsugi from God Eater Anime who are only capable of Slaying or slicing the toughest thickest's Aragamis skin.

Sous'ke Sagara from Full Metal Panic, very good in survival mode, sharp and deadly.

For female none other than Fuko Kirisawa from Flame of Recca, overall I like her.

I like male protagonists that always know more than they let on. Urahara Kisuke, Kogami Shinya, and more recently Sung Jin-woo. They're collected, competent, sometimes funny, and have a strong sense of justice.

For female protagonists I think it's best when they're just clumsy enough to be cute without being annoying. Take Maki and Tamaki from Fire Force as an example. Maki is awesome, Tamaki is not. Maomao from Apothecary Diaries is an exceptional female character. Very smart and competent but also very aware of her shortcomings.

With protaganist I would say I like a wide range of them from the smart and together ones but also the funnier more impulsive type are good depending on the anime.

I also like some that are more evil such as Light Yagami.

Some protaganist I like are Yoh Asakura from Shaman King, Kirito from SAO, Natsu from Fairy Tail, Eren Yeager from AOT, Meliodas from Seven Deadly Sins and Goku.
Female protagnist I liek Maka Albarn from Soul Eater, Asuna from SAO, Rias Gremory from High school DxD, Sakura/Hinata from Naruto/Boruto, Lucy from Fairy Tail.

This is just to name I few I like much more than that 😆

Gintoki Sakata (Gintama) - carefree and goofy but has wisdom and strength too.

Edward Elric (Fullmetal) - all around funny guy but I like his brashness and the struggles he faces makes for a good show.

Rintarou Okabe (Steins Gates) - I like how his character evolves as the show goes on.

Mob (Mob Psycho 100) - again I like the personal growth with this character throughout the show.
