brycec
I like it. Technology helps me get things done and find my way around town, at least if I do not have any problem finding indicators to where I need to go.
Kohloo
I think it's great because it has been a huge help for me. In particular, my phone is the biggest help. It made it a lot easier for me to get around when I moved to a larger city. Also, with no internet or computer at the time, I relied on it for a lot of stuff (especially considering all my bills are electronic). It was also a huge help for me when I moved to a tiny town that wasn't near anything. The job I was at, I only got paid once a month. And my nearest bank was a 45min drive away (and I don't drive). My phone was the only way I could deposit my cheque into my account. But at the same time, I hate it. It's very easy for me to become addicted to it. I had gotten to the point where it was starting to negatively affect my real life relationships. Almost a year ago, I made the choice to give up the smartphone and switch to a basic flip phone. It's only in the past couple months that I decided to let myself get a smartphone again. I treat it very differently now, so that I don't make the same mistakes as last time. 1

Cy~
I'm a midground person. I consider myself to be something of a futurist, and I think that technology and technological development is deeply interwoven with the future of humanity. I like it, because there are going to be so many opportunities to make the world a better place. Think about it. Better computers will provide great features at an even lower price. Medical technology will extend human lifespans and make those years more pleasant to live. Robotics could bring about a second industrial revolution, resulting in super structures, automated manual labor, and a life of laziness. However, technology brings some downsides. If it results in too much change too quickly, then you may end up with governments falling apart, unable to cope with the pace of innovation. Some technologies will be highly susceptible to attack by hackers, which could result in significant casualties. In addition to all of this, too much technological advancement may result in us all becoming a bit less "human". We could spend all of our time glued to our devices and chasing notifications. We could stop caring about the people around us and become overly buried in our own tiny bubbles. I don't know. Technology... I love it, and I hate it a little bit. It's like a deafening rock concert. I love the experience, but I just can't stop my ears from ringing each time I go. 2

Phazon
Technology can have its upsides and downsides: for example, we have alot more choice than we had in the 90s & 80s as in computers, gaming consoles, phones, ect. People who constantly complain about how things were better "back then" need to wake the hell up (you know who you are) But, in places like my country (Australia) streaming video is out of the question (I can barely stream 360p video), plus you can completely forget about streaming PC games since the minimum is 5mbps and not everyone has that.
brycec
People who constantly complain about how things were better "back then" need to wake the hell up (you know who you are) You'll get this way too, just like we all be frustrated with ourselves when our bodies do not do what we tell them, thus losing our independence, so do not be so harsh on those individuals, and I do think that much of the tech was better back in the day too. There are some interesting things out there, but in the computer world, it is getting so that nobody can do even the most basic upgrades, which are RAM and HDD/SSD upgrades, as easily as they were once able to. Before you know it, people will forget how things work properly, much like how very few of even know where our food comes from. People have gotten more and more dependent the moment they thought the stability of a job with a regular income and such was a good thing, and, unfortunately, even if our electronic equipment stops functioning and disappears, we would still have human beings that are fragile due to how stable the world is now. SAO LILDOOP
I love it, so much. Technology is great, it allows you to connect with other people from across the world and socially interact without having to go out and physically do so; It also allows you access to almost anything, you can learn so much from tech. Tech is also great for just relaxing and having fun, Video-games are really fun and watching shows and anime are really fun. Life would not be the same without technology. Orius
It's convenient. Does all the things I'm otherwise too lazy to do. Yep, I'm one of those millennial types who's too dependent on technology and yet doesn't know how to upgrade RAMs, SSDs, or PPGs. Also, I use a Mac, so that puts me on the loser side of computers.

I do not find you on the loser side of computers just for using a Mac. Technology does make things easier for us though.

Yeah, we are, but I do not think we have ever not relied on technology so much, considering we have technology, as in what this section of the community talks about, and then we have technology in the archaeological sense, which encompasses everything we have. Still, you are definitely correct in what you say.
RepentantSky
You know, with the fact that I want to be a journalist online, and that means my career of choice is all about using technology to it's fullest, you'd think I'd be all about it, but honestly that's not the case. I am surrounded by technology, and I use it all the time with my phone, my computer, my game systems and all that, but I'm not in love with technology. It's all part of a pass-time that I want to turn into a career, but even with that in mind, I doubt if I got what I wanted my opinion would change much. I'm just kind of in the middle. Florida Fool
I understand the benefits of tech since I use it every day. However, that same technology will replace a lot of jobs in the future. Fast food places won't even have someone at the register. The jobs that teenagers use as summer jobs will disappear. Nearly every job can be replaced by a computer program.
