*insert Mortal Kombat Scorpion joke here* Hey everyone! I'm actually new to the whole anime and kawaii thing. I honestly just got into it maybe two months ago now, I'd say. But with my new love of anime, I have a huge new interest in the whole Japanese culture as well and would love to deploy visit Japan one day! I've only seen 5 shows of anime which includes: Akame Ga Kill, Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works, Sword Art Online 1&2, and Heavens Lost Property! Call me an anime noob or whatever or not a real otaku, I don't care. I just love getting into the stories and the attachment to the characters and just how amazing the animations and voices are. This is my fourth forum now so I'm not new to that but I have had big changes in my life and more to come so we will see where that goes. Anyways can't wait to talk to you all on here! Oh and I'm super excited to be going to my first comic con here pretty soon and seeing my favorite cosplayer, Jessica Nigri. I would go to an Anime Expo but I'm not sure if I've seen enough anime yet to do that.

*shyly enters the gamers' domain* Although I do play some games form time to time, I'm far from being a gamer (I have to admit I'd love to be one...hehe). Still, I'm interested in this stuff and I often watch my brother play so I know a bit about gaming. I'm pretty sure though, if I didn't spend hundreds on books, I'd probably spend it on games so blame my bookwormishness for that (I don't even know if that word exists). Anyway, some of my favourite games include Pokemon, Fire Emblem Awakening, Ys VII and Okami (which I never got to finish because my bro sold his PS3 and I had just a couple of hours left TT^TT I'll never get over that). Now that I got my PSVita, I hope to get to play many more games. Recommendations are welcome

Well I would've said Asuna and Kirito but their relationship wasn't the same in SAO2. So I'm going to go with Nymph and Tomoki from Heavens Lost Property.

Happy New Years, everyone! I hate making resolutions as they don't usually work and it's just a bandwagon thing. But anyways for this year: Lose even more weight from the 30 pounds I already lost last year; get started in my technical school to learn Auto Collision Repair; get a girlfriend that's not a bitch my soulmate or something like that, just similar interests and personality really; make moar money; attend a comic con(which I am already planning YAY); attend concerts of fave Rock/Metal and Dubstep artists; watch more anime. That should be all. And to just be more happier overall, really.

Gaming 101, a thread dedicated to nothing but gaming albeit the casual or the elitist. Here anime has no power "mwahahahah *cough cough*" Let us know what your current opinions on the games you are playing and your recommendations. Inform us of the latest and greatest news you have heard. No console wars please as all platforms are good in their own and most of all, have fun. (So what if its an Anime forum?! Both Anime and Gaming are awesome and since the forum is awesome too, im sure there is space for it to fit. It seems like there are a lot of people on this forum who indulge in both)

This first episode was amazing!!! The dark elements...the time traveling elements....they're both executed perfectly! I was thoroughly impressed! I'm quite interested in seeing where this anime is going especially now since the MC is a little kid again due to the time traveling thing. I can't wait for episode 2! I'm really glad I picked this anime up!

Mortal Kombat! Awesome set of games! Welcome.

Welcome to AF! That is a good start into the anime world. Those are all good series. If you need any suggestions let me know. You should defiantly go to anime expo if you can. Anime cons are a great way for you to learn more about anime and see whats out there. You also get to meet other people who also love anime. Cons are a lot of fun. Also I highly approve of your user name and avatar. Akame is defiantly waifu material.

Dark Souls 2 or any other game from Software are not just ordinary RPGs for ordinary gamers. You must have a taste for it otherwise its rubbish. Mass Effect: Andromeda RPGs and FPS are be

Some titles there that are before my time. I bow before you You seem to enoy many franchises that I too often play

We usually put threads like this in the forum games section, and already have this game if you are interested in joining here: http://animeforums.net/threads/ban-the-member-above-you.1233/ As for this section, it basically involves playing as a made up character in a world the GM sets up in their intro post. You may want to try reading some of the RPs we already have here to get a better idea of them.

Hello and welcome to Anime Forums! I hope you enjoy your time here!

I'm surprised this was not on here yet as it was pretty popular on every other forum I've been to. The rules are, as it sounds; simply "ban" the user above for whatever reason you see fit. Here's an example: Me: Here's to another forum-roleplaying adventure! Next user: Banned for unorignal content. (Or) Banned for not including waifu. You know something along those lines. It's a lot more fun if you're original and creative with each post but I understand there's only so much you can reply to with just one sentence. (Side note, not sure if this it technically role-play with characters but it seemed to fit. Sorry if it's not in the right spot, still trying to see all the new here)

The problem with that is nowadays game developers make it so that buying DLC is almost compulsory. Referred to as the term Pay-To-Win.

Welcome to Anime Forums, I hope you have a fabulous time here~

Firstly, welcome and hope to see you around. To point something out, I.M.O. there is no level of otaku, yes you get the hardcore ones that watch all day and night, all week and then the casual watcher. For me however, otaku is not describing how dedicated you are but how much you love what it is you are doing. Also those series you chose to watch first were all really good as i have watched most of them myself. Enjoy comicon and happy hunting.

Welcome to Anime Forums, Akame! Hope you enjoy your stay Pretty good selection so far. I would suggest trying out Steins;Gate, Code Geass, and A Certain Scientific Railgun next. Btw, if you ever need any recs for anime or manga, feel free to ask me. Sounds pretty exciting! I'm not much into cosplaying, but I hope you have fun.

It got me much more than two months to get so enthusiastic about anime, and even more to feel so confident about it so, yeah.... Anyway, welcome to the forums

these are some i found while searching for the lag problem. hope they`re appropriate and good luck with the comic on(y)

That's really what it boils down to for me as well. I'm the type of guy who plays multiple games at once, but doesn't dedicate hundreds of hours into one game, which obviously MMOs of both types are designed to played. So If I had a paid subscription, I feel like a ton of money would be wasted a month to keep an account open even if I hardly touched the game that month.

It depends on the game if I liked it a lot then I get the DLC if it looks good. I've gotten DLC for games like The Witcher 3 because it was a great game and Rocket league because it supports the devs and looks cool. But usually I try and avoid DLC for games I didn't enjoy as much.
