Hi @Wodahs I haven't seen it yet but yeah feel free to start the thread if you like!

So in this episode we learned more about Dezel, a wind Seraph that has been with Rose since like... forever. Awwh. Soo cute!! Sadly though Sorey is caught up in politics by those afraid of his powers but is able to push forward without hesitation. Also am really glad to see Alisha is back! Elegant as usual... albeit in an ambush pinch this time... But touching to see she still has her strong resolve from Sorey. 7/10! What did you think of this episode?

This episode was pretty good, though jokes felt a little flat. The Lich plot felt flat. Megumin still coming to terms with her being unable to use her explosive magic inside caves. However the star this time though was Aqua: Aqua was being really elegant with her attacks!! Kazuma actually praising Aqua? No way...! ... ... ... Then it was all for naught when it was discovered Aqua was the source of all the Undead attacks. Thankfully things are looking for Kazuma and co with their quest reward. But... where is Darkness? 6/10 ! What did you think of this episode?

Hi @Belgrade_assassin, thanks for your feedback. Yes the item is single use - once you change your title it will disappear from your Inventory. If you want to change it again you will need to purchase it again. Regarding the item cost, this is something we may revisit later down the track to see how the shop economy is going as earning points has also been tied to community events... as it stands the cost is quite cheap, 2-3 posts in the anime sections. I am hoping to get more items/perks added to the shop at a later time - when that happens the cost of all the items will be reviewed.

What do you think of dakimakura (hugging) body pillows?

Which character would you choose Bunny? Awwh! Cute character indeed. Although you discarded yours, would you ever consider getting another one again n future ? Or would that be a definite no? -
Haven't tried them before @zoop - will keep an eye out next time I visit an oriental store though, thanks!
-
@Wodahs I did consider the Aqua pillow cover for just a TINY moment, then remembered all the ridiculous moments between Aqua and Kazuma. Already have the cute Aqua Nendoroid though.

Thanks for writing about your experiences @zoop, very interesting! Out of the ones in my list from an admin perspective I have only used MyBB, IPB and of course XenForo. This community originally started many years ago on MyBB under a different name (AN Community). Although MyBB was a breeze to customise, the user experience felt outdated.. specifically the editor. So migrated to IPB, and it was better... but it felt clunky and performance felt sluggish. I've been really happy with XF so far. Never had any performance issues with it and it's very robust. Been on it for over 2 years and I do feel it's a good platform. Two of the developers are actually ex-vBulletin developers that left due to being bought out by Internet Brands who weren't happy with the way they were running things. I think forums are in an interesting situation at the moment. They're not as popular as they used to be, but I do feel it is easier to search for previous discussions and have more in-depth ones - my biggest priority is making the experience easier to use. If anything though I do miss having more smaller anime communities and fan-sites as competition.

Break is over and back to work tomorrow - will endeavour to be more active after week 1. Also a big warm welcome to our new members.

Have you seen Shakugan no Shana? I would say Shana reminds me more of Taiga in terms of them being cold and hot headed at times. Nao Tomori to me is much more smug, I would say she reminds me more of Shinoa Hiragi from Seraph of the End (Owari no Seraph). But yes we do need more character polls, I shall add that to the to do list..

Absolutely gutted with Australia Day celebrations in Perth yesterday due to plane crash on river hours before firework show. Huge dampener.

Oh @ThatCynicalSnob, cynical as usual. I don't think anyone can argue with your logical points. A purchase of this particular type of anime merchandise is definitely more emotional than practical - dedication towards your most favourite character(s). Compared to other anime merchandise it's certainly very low value once used because once you sleep on it, that's it. It's not like anime figures where they retain or even go up in value, even if opened... and the price of these covers are significant, you could get at least two Nendoroids for one cover! If we're going to bring tangible benefits though... the way I see it, it's like sleeping with a teddy bear - anime version style. Helps to make your sleep more comforting, more relaxing, potentially relieve some stress. Yes the anime character of course isn't real, but imagining he/she is can be fun, you have to admit. Also when you're not using the cover there's no reason why you couldn't hang them on a wall or line somewhere. For a body pillow cover size, the quality of the print needs to be very high - assuming you don't go for unofficial ones. -
Reminds me of a... [spoiler=....certain someone] Couldn't resist. @Kirry and @ssjup81 will probably smack me for driving the thread off-topic.

I find anime as a beautiful entertainment medium. So many titles and genres to choose from. So many potential stories and touching moments. Anime has amazed me both in story, visuals and just being drawn into a new universe of characters and settings. Various anime titles have made me learn about new things and concepts. Some have even brought tears to my eyes and some have eeringly sent shivers down my spine, whilst others have made me laugh. I realise this sounds vague, but it seems the more anime titles I watch, the harder I find myself being unable to imagine a life without these beautiful titles. Hence it has become a passion, at least for me. And a big money drain for the merchandise I keep buying for the titles I love most, but that's a story for another day.

Thank you all for your kind comments. They're usually rolled up and sealed when shipped so you should be OK there. Larger ones should be in a poster tube for decent shipping protection. How did you go with this? I use an application called Bulk Rename Utility. Most titles are named correctly these days so I find myself using it less and less, and only for my anime screenshot galleries. Absolutely... there's also the advantage of watching certain series later when they come out on BD. By then they have usually made it sharper or cleaner and there is usually a good increase in audio quality. And also that annoying brightness issue that only occurs on airing titles is resolved. No, although there is an antenna coaxial point I don't use it in this room. Strictly for PS4, movies, music and anime. Having said that I am aware many home theatre setups include TV in their setup, particularly for sports so I can see the need. But the thing is I'm not an avid sports fan, I don't watch FTA TV other than the 6 to 6.30 PM news bulletins in our lounge room for SEVEN News and SBS News, and that's only on certain days depending on my mood. I am a PlexPass supporter, yes. The full list of PlexPass premium features is here. The extra benefits aren't huge, you get the ability to sync your Plex local library onto your portable devices (iOS/Android smartphones and tablets) via the Plex apps. It's pretty nifty as you can watch them offline, might be ideal for long trips, plane trips or even your public transport commute. But admittedly I don't use this feature for the same reason I don't use my handheld devices outside the house - I have to drive most of the time. There's also another premium feature, better Gracenote and lyrics matching if you add a music library in Plex. Again a nice touch but not my primary use as it's mainly for anime in my case. I figured it was a good product and am happy to keep my monthly subscription going to support the developers.

Some very interesting thoughts here! Seems many here focus better at night. Not sure about others here but I find in the afternoon just after lunch I get drowsy and find it more difficult to focus - though I can partially counter that if I have coffee with my lunch. If I have a very big and heavy lunch (occasionally on weekends) then it's very likely I'll have a nap. Also my previous thoughts on focusing better at night still stands - however with an additional caveat: must not have had any alcoholic drinks. I'm a rather big fan of Japanese beer and enjoy having 1-2 drinks on certain anime viewing sessions. If I've done that, then that evening is a write-off for doing anything work or study related due to being too relaxed.
-
I will definitely have to watch this tomorrow night... was delaying watching it as I wanted to source a really high quality version, which I have found so I can slot this in with my next anime home theatre session. Also @Sekkarou I'm also not sure how to categorise this title from a tag point of view. And from a genre point of view it looks like an anime music video but it also looks like a short film at the same time. I am sure I'll have a better idea after I watch it. In any case, it would be worth featuring this on the front page too.

Interesting job @Wodahs - and I am sure you've seen your fair share of bad drivers on our roads. I also imagine as a truck driver you make fair use of UHF radio to keep in touch with other drivers? To answer the original topic, I'm currently a Library Technician in a school environment. It's quite interesting and certainly much less hectic than my previous role in ICT helpdesk support. I'm using this opportunity to gain some more skills on the side, taking advantage of less stress. And more time for Anime Forums.

Hi @JamesValentine , I moved your post to this existing discussion to bump it. Those are some nice hobbies you have there. I'm looking at picking up my photography again but on the photobox side as I want to photograph some of my anime merchandise and figures in better lighting. It's a rather interesting topic, picked up some various pieces of kit from IKEA and will have a play to see how I go with their lighting.

Hi @Wodahs , Glad to see you liked the series. This is one of the series where many of the members enjoyed this series, so we actually had a thread for each episode as it aired. You can find the other episode threads here: https://animeforums.net/community/tags/erased/ if you would consider posting your individual thoughts on your most memorable episodes that would be much appreciated - going back through what I posted back then certainly brings back some fond memories of that series.

What order to watch Naruto in? And suggestions..
Optic replied to 2steppocket's topic in Anime Discussion
Hello @2steppocket , welcome to Anime Forums. I myself haven't dived into the Naruto franchise but hopefully someone here can provide some insight on that. Regarding recommendations you may want to take a peek at what others have previously recommended here: https://animeforums.net/community/tags/recommendations/ -
Clockwork Planet I must admit has caught my eye for three reasons: Same author from No Game No Life RyuZU looks CUTE fripSide is doing the OP theme (love their energetic songs - e.g. AJIN and A Certain Scientific Railgun) I really wanted to make a thread for it and feature it on the front page but no decent PVs or visuals yet ...

I wouldn't mind a PlayStation VR to go with my PlayStation 4... but unless these devices becomes more mainstream, it will remain gimmicky and a niche... Hatsune Miku Project Diva X had a patch that lets you use the PlayStation VR for certain songs, to simulate a live Vocaloid concert. From what I saw though you're fixed in the one spot, though you can look around. It caught my interest because the PlayStation solution is pretty much plug and play, would be great to put in the home theatre... Then I kind of lost interest when I saw the price tag, $550 AUD pre-order at EB Games. As for uses outside entertainment? Well I'd rather they perfect hologram technology first.

Hi @Wodahs, I have adjusted your thread title and moved it to Chit Chat as your topic is about disasters and life threatening emergencies in general rather than specific anime titles relating to disasters. Now having said that, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is certainly one of my favourites and a great disaster anime title. To answer your question I think I would be fairly calm. I used to be a St. John Ambulance Australia volunteer (Event First Aid Services) and had some rather scary situations - a person with chest pains at a Greyhounds Racing Track and a toddler having epileptic seizures at an AFL game in Subiaco stadium (or whatever they call it these days ). I also had a medical situation relating to my brother and I did panic a little (almost froze) as it's not a situation you normally encounter and for many can happen when you least expect it. My only advice in any potentially emergency is you must remain calm - it's no good for you or anyone else if you run around like a headless chicken or completely faze out, as these situations can quickly become time critical.
