Now that all the summer season anime have finished airing it's time to start binge watching! First up was Days With My Stepsister, with a title like that I wondered which way the story would go and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a fairly serious drama about two strangers who suddenly became step-siblings and their efforts to come to terms with their new situation and how they and their parents could fit together and become a family. The series has a fairly slow pace and the visual style has a quite muted pastel coloured palette and uses some unusual angles and visual effects which along with quiet and subdued background music which fits the tone of the scenes very well. Overall the series tackles the subject in a very thoughtful way and I enjoyed watching it.

It's bright and sunny. The temp is only 14C and a bit chilly in the shade, but it feels much warmer in the sun.

Perhaps you make the questions too easy , but on the other hand it will probably boost your student's confidence if they get a pass mark. This morning I embarked on a quest to my local High Street to buy some more of my favourite steak pies as I only had one left, and am pleased to report a successful mission and I was able to get enough to last me three weeks .

What are things coming to, postponing a con just because of a bit of bad weather. But seriously, the pictures and reports I've seen on the news look like there's been some really catastrophic damage and sadly some loss of life. I hope you're OK and haven't suffered too much damage where you are.

The series has quite a distinctive and unusual artistic style and a great soundtrack.

Oh Froggy, I'm so sad to hear that after you'd looked forward to it so much and worked so hard to save up the money. I think you're wise to step back a bit and not rush into anything while you build up your prospects for life outside high school.

Well done You! I'm glad to hear that you're making some new friends and able to hang out with them after school.

I've just about got over my disappointment at not being able to go to the steam railway gala on Saturday. I'm also feeling happy and relieved as I went to the dentist this morning for my annual check-up and he didn't find anything that needed doing.

You might like to look at Photoshop Elements, which is what I use, it's a lot less expensive than the full version although you might miss some of the more advanced features. I notice that Adobe now sell Elements with a 3 year licence rather than a one-off payment. We'll look forward to seeing Silverleaf's Gallery in the A-F Art Exhibit forum.

That's a really beautiful poem @Sakura

Thank you. Actually, it's not a sad anime. It ends on a positive note for all three of the story arcs. The sequel ef: A Tale of Melodies on the other hand has a heartbreaking story arc.

I'm annoyed! For the past couple of months I've been looking forward to visiting a heritage steam railway's autumn gala this weekend. Today I found out that due to engineering work between my station and the station for the heritage line I can't get there.

It's a strange thing, but too much relaxing and doing nothing can sometimes make you feel more tired.

Welcome back. Don't feel bad about not being able to post very often, we all live busy lives and fully understand that some people have more time to spend visiting the forum than others.

This one is based on one of the stories in ef: a tale of memories and probably needs some explanation for those not familiar with the series. Due to a brain injury Chihiro Shindou cannot retain new memories beyond 13 hours, which is why I placed her inside a clock face surrounded by other clock faces. The other character is Renji Asou the boy who became her friend and later fell in love with her.
