Well, the original hospital buildings were once a workhouse that was converted into a hospital. I think all the original buildings have gone now, but the current hospital is the result of many years of piecemeal rebuilding and replacement of old facilities so what we have now is a fairly modern building that has gone though so many rebuilds and internal modifications that it's very easy to get lost in there. (there are no rumours of the place being haunted though)

My favourite donut is just about any type of Krispy Kreme donut. The last place I worked at had a sort of 'donut culture', it was obligatory to bring donuts on your birthday, preferably Krispy Kreme donuts from the stall on the railway station. When there was any kind of maintenance work being done in the building the facilities manager put boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts in the communal kitchen areas as a apology for the inconvenience and disruption caused. When you first started to ride a bike did you have those stabiliser wheels attached or did you learn without them?

That makes me think of the game Hide and seek. My local hospital is very good at playing a version of it called 'Hunt the Patient', whenever go to visit anyone there the second time I visit they're not in the same ward as they were and I have to ask at the nurses station where they've been moved to.

Yes, I'd heard that one before, although I'm not sure why I'd want to lick my elbow. Since we were discussing bananas recently I found this curious fact: Bananas are berries, but strawberries are not. Botanically speaking, bananas are classified as berries, while strawberries are not because their seeds are on the outside.

When my father was in hospital they served up some rather odd meals. My mother was usually visited at mealtimes and occasionally I did as well and we had fun trying to work out exactly what each item on the plate was supposed to be.

I can't believe I just tried that, and it's correct. You really can't hum with your nose closed.

And reading that comment reminds me that I need to stop reading AF and go do some grocery shopping, if I don't I'm going to have some very odd meals this week.

I'd love to be extremely good at art because my efforts at drawing anything look nothing like what I'm trying to draw. Would you rather have a very highly paid job that you hate doing or a poorly paid job that you enjoy doing?

Laputa; Castle in the Sky is one of my all time favourite films, I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. When Marnie Was There is a beautiful film, I think you'll like it.

They contain two liquids that glow due to a chemical reaction between them. The liquids aren't poisonous or toxic but can cause a skin irritation and will give you a stomach ache if you swallow them. I can understand that. While I go out quite a lot I dislike going to parties and such like because I have difficulty socialising and talking to people I've not met before. When I was younger I used to dread being invited to other children's birthday parties. When I got a bit older I told my parents that I did not want big birthday parties I just wanted two or three of my friends round for tea.
