  1. One day we will tell our grandchildren of the mythic "dollar menu" at fast food places...
  2. So what are the best magical swords in anime? There are plenty of them. Some are alive. others contain spirits. Most just have magical powers. What are the best ones Which ones would beat which ones? Which one do you want? Growing up I always wanted to slap the Eye of Thundera on he-man's sword.
  3. Okay so we're all pretty clear Christmas is not Jesus' birthday. So what holiday horrors and traditions do you know of before they were sanitized by Christians and parents? "There's be scary ghost stories and tales of the goriest Christmases..." Krampus? (Not just oN Christmas night...) The Christmas Spider A poor but hardworking widow once lived in a small hut with her children. One summer day, a pine cone fell on the earthen floor of the hut and took root. The widow's children cared for the tree, excited at the prospect of having a Christmas tree by winter. The tree grew, but when Christmas Eve arrived, they could not afford to decorate it. The children sadly went to bed and fell asleep. Early the next morning, they woke up and saw the tree covered with cobwebs. When they opened the windows, the first rays of sunlight touched the webs and turned them into gold and silver. The widow and her children were overjoyed. From then on, they never lived in poverty again.[ And that's where we get tinsel. Did you know the glass bulbs on X-mas trees are meant to catch witches and evil spirits? That Santa's milk and cookies originated with bribing elves not to steal away children with offerings of bread and milk? Similar to how on Halloween we do the same with goblins and the dead. In Japan SaNTA LITERALLY HAS EYE ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. Meanwhile in Europe he was part of the Wild hunt https://www.buzzfeed.com/aglover/terrifying-origins-of-christmas-traditions Did you know if you were born on/around Christmas you could turn into a werewolf? Or a Kallikantzaroi Halloween and Jack-o-Lantern Eostre? (The egg hunt is a way to participate in The Wild Hunt, whose rules are Hide, Join, or Die) Aril used to be new Years and required sacrifices... or did you thinK jesus had a problemw ith colored eggs and they needed to be hid? It was actually evil trolls that his things on Easter morning and they were cursed. Walpurgis Night? Witches get all the good holidays. So seriously what nice and scary origins for holidays and the like do you know? While he may certainly have existed 90% of the Jesus stuff comes from Odin, Baldur, and gods like Mithras coopted.
  4. Food is getting WAY too expensive. I'm seriously considering just hunting the people in the store parkinglot.
  5. Oh no, many very smart people have done extremely stupid things. In fact smart people are often capable of more stupidity than an idiot.
  6. Gargoyles was made in Japan. Megas XLR, Rick and Morty the Anime, and the DBZ movie were made in America. Location seems to not matter much. https://www.amazon.com/How-Anime-Character-Clayton-Overstreet/dp/1441451803
  7. There's a pill for that So many crossovers... Issue # 1 Team 7 is assigned on a B-rank mission to protect a reporter named April O'Neil. April reveals to Team 7 about a scientist's research and experiments on humans and animals to fuse them into mutant shinobi. They are soon after confronted by a group of shinobi, hailed from the Foot clan, who are targeting April for her vital information. Just when Team 7 is about to fight the Foot ninja, a group of masked shinobi, consisting of four mutant ninja turtles and a mutant rat, intervened which caused the enemy group to retreat. Noticing a group of strange yet suspicious shinobi are here for April, Team 7 fought them while April filmed the entire battle. The masked rat figure called off the battle, commenting Team 7's abilities that rivaled his four sons. Kakashi, using his Sharingan, removed the mutant group's masks and casually greeted the rat mutant, recognising him as Hamato Yoshi.
  8. Nothing new? Surely Adult Swin has something coming down the pipe https://www.adultswim.com/videos
  9. VIZ bought RWBY! https://www.viz.com/blog/posts/rwby-finds-a-new-home https://www.viz.com/press-releases/v/1006730 Will the series continue int he wake of the creator's death?
  10. It's not exactly complicated. You should be fine. Luffy picks a fight with weird pirates/monsters with strange powers. They fight. Someone cries. Someone learns the true meaning of friendship. They sail on to the next one. Let me know when they find the treasure.
  11. Whatever holiday is coming up, post some songs for it preferably that others may be unfamiliar with.
  12. Is there an actual difference between anime and cartoons, or is it just where they are made? The art style? Gargoyles was animated in Japan. Some anime come from Korea or are made in America. One Punch Man and Mieroku were originally webcomics. There are manga of Star Wars and Star Trek. Ghost in the shell the movie was made in America. Do the Teenage Mutant NINJA Turtles count as anime? Sonic? Transformers? Kingdom hearts?
  13. Vampire Hunter D was what may have defined anime for me and started showing me the difference between it and cartoons".
  14. I have "Bored of the Rings" in which the main character tosses it in a bog and goes home
  15. Personally I just think int he long run, treating them as lesser is mo0re likely to make them turn on us.
  16. So what are your favorite anime crossovers? (Only if they actually happen and are not fan art.) What would you like to see?
  17. What do you mean by "mimic"? If they can think, they can think, right? Human babies learn by copying, but it's all the same in the end.
  18. True and rally Sauron being in charge probably wouldn't affect them much at all. Actually they'd likely be allowed to eat more humans.
