Slayers was one of the earliest anime I watched on VHS (as opposed to the heavily edited/Americanized stuff on syndicated tv). Have watched the first 3 seasons & all the OVA/Movie/Specials (the ones with Naga instead of Gourry). I have the discs for Revolution & Evolution-R, but never got around to watching them )

As far as Sailor Moon baddies, I think Berthier/Bertie/Birdy is my fave.

A bit too depressing to be one of my favorites, but still appreciate it as one of the most impactful & thought provoking anime ever created. Favorite characters would be Hange, Armin & Sasha.

Things were much busier when I joined in 2018, unfortunately there was bad blood between some of the staff and most of them & a lot of members left. Things never fully recovered, but things were more active earlier this year. But a member said somethings that were insulting to another which led to another group exodus. Sadly when the active community is small to begin with, things like that take their toll.

Just got in from mowing the leaves (because it’s easier than raking or blowing them). Today temps got close  to 70F, but back to 40s & 50s tomorrow.

Doubt it’s your thing as there’s barely any action in it, mostly the 2 MCs being lovey-dovey & awkward towards each other (sometimes simultaneously ). There actually is a plausible reason offered for considering monsters as a food source & a measure of political/religious intrigue/conspiracy, but unsure how deep they’ll go with it. Mostly it’s about 2 individuals who have been misunderstood & slandered by society as a whole finding someone who understands & appreciates them in each other. And comfy food vibes. 
 

I think May I Ask For One Final Thing would be more to your liking. Has it’s romance side as well, but more action oriented & even has an isekai aspect to it (though it’s not revealed until several episodes in & still unsure where they’ll go with it). It’s probably my fave non-sequel series this season. Still planning to check out Sanda sometime in December though.

Overall, MHA Final Season continues to dominate the season for me.

Planning to see the Shibuya Incident compilation  / early premiere of season 3 at the movies next month. Honestly a lot of things about the Shibuya arc p***** me off, but would be lying to say I’m not curious about what happens next. 

A lot of Summer 2025’s highly anticipated sequels came up short, but another high potential season coming in January. Final seasons of Fire Force & Golden Kamuy. New seasons of Frieren, Hell’s Paradise, Oshi no Ko (moving to Crunchyroll) & JJK. For something silly that I nevertheless enjoyed, ‘Tis Time for Torture, Princess is getting a 2nd season. And once again they’re saying we’ll finally get Fate Strange Fake (I’ll believe it when they actually manage to release at least 3 episodes on schedule  )

Currently watching a number of food/outdoors themed anime. With autumn transitioning to winter it feels cozy (the first 2 also have a romance side to them as well)

Overall? Probably Cowboy Bebop. Was really caught off guard by the emotional punch the later episodes packed when it started out rather humorous. But considering the wide range of genres & styles anime encompasses it can be hard to compare & pick a favorite series.

We’ll have to wait another year, but a new season of The Apothecary Diaries & a movie are in the works
