I'm wondering if we're close to the same age, but in a way kind of doubt it since you said mid-90s. Who knows. lol I'd been watching animated stuff from Japan since the 80s...albeit unknowingly. Stuff like Voltron and G-Force, for example, I used to watch (against my will) with my older cousin who was really into those shows, when I really wasn't. I also used to watch the imported Japanese series that Nickelodeon used to show in the 80s like Noozles (Fushigi na Blinky), Mysterious Cities of Gold (Taiyou no Ko, Esteban), Maya the Bee (MItsubachi Maya no Bouken), Grims Fairy Tale Classics (Grim Meisaku Gekijou), Maple Town (Maple Town Monogatari), Adventure of the Little Koala (Koala Boy Blinky), etc.

k means thousand. Like if you wrote 1K the person knows you mean 1,000. Anyway, I guess it's so people know to say 2012 as opposed to 20 12. Also, in the turtle community people write it out this way. Same goes for the 2003 series. It's usually referred to as 2k3. The 1987 series is referred to as "OT", which means "original toon"...probably. lol I grew up with the OT and watch the 2k12 series. Never watched the 2k3 series. Couldn't get into it at the time.

Finally! Someone else who watches the 2k12 Turtles series!

Yeah, guess you're right. I guess fantasy for me then.

Thanks for all of these suggestions! They're really good.

The first five minutes of the film was streamed on NIconico. As for the entire film, like I said, there was a prescreening sometime last week in theaters. The site probably did mention both of these on Twitter or something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esfBQyAUQko

It was streamed on NicoNico yesterday. There have also been prescreenings here in Japan for it sometime last week.

I saw that a while ago. What I don't get is why Takeru and Hikari weren't there. It's just super odd to me that they wouldn't be. I doubt school would be the issue because, by this point, Miyako, Daisuke, Ken, Takeru, and Hikari would all be in junior high school. I would also assume that they would all be OJH students, outside of Ken and Iori. We know Miyako is. I hope it's semi-explained why those two weren't there for that battle and when it happened. I would also hope that the 02 kids would actually show up. Is Alphamon the main threat and since the 02 kids couldn't do anything, the older group has to step in? The movie's already had some pre-screenings here and some have written comments regarding it, but not sure if the 02 kids were mentioned outside of the stuff at the beginning.

I like both, but being tall, I stick with showers. As a kid, I liked baths because one of my favorite things to do was to read in the bath. Still enjoy it.

What would you do if the user^above you had a crush on you?

I'd ask "Why?" lol -
I was referring to Japanese anime. lol. That aside, King of the Hill was a good series.

I miss when I could do that. I'd just drink a Monster energy drink (those huge ones) and I'd be fine. I can't do that anymore. lol

I get sleepy at about 9 or 10. I wake up at about 5:50 and head out at about 6:15 to catch the 6:20 bus. On the weekend, I wake up at about 7 sometimes. Go to sleep whenever.

Hey everyone. I need some help. I'm trying to write an article informative to those who may visit Japan or curious about the country or would like to live here, or whatever. So, my problem is that I can't think of anything to write about. I've thought about writing about the convenience of convenient stores and maybe of Nakano, but I'd like to write about more things. As those not living in Japan, but aspire to visit someday, and even for those who have, what would you want to know about before visiting (or visiting again)? Anime/manga topics are also ok.

That's because they teach Katakana English as opposed to how a native person would speak, hence why it's difficult to understand sometimes. That aside, they start forcing kids to study English in school from junior high school...and yet Japan is way behind other Asian countries like Korea and China.

Stateside, I used to go to Barnes & Noble.

I'm trying to figure out who Chuck is...

It's going on season 4. The season 3 finale had a lot of stuff happen. Season 4 starts October 25. The Fugitoid appeared at the end of the season 3 finale. That aside, I recommend the series in general. There are always Easter eggs in this show. Sean Astin voices Raphael and they've had nods to Lord of the Rings and the Goonies. For the LotR joke, the four were LARPing, and Mikey had a ring offering it to Raph. He then said, "I don't do rings." lol. The Goonies ref was good. Raph ended up in an underground cave, and then said something like, Aw, no pirate ship" or "So much for finding a pirate ship". I like the old references.

*points to name*. The jupi is short for Jupiter. She's my favorite inner soldier. I like how Makoto represented the notion of not judging a book by its cover. People wrongfully thought that she was a delinquent because of her uniform style (not really common now) and hair type, she was tall for a Japanese girl, and was a good fighter, and yet her personality was very gentle and nurturing and her hobbies and club activity reflected this as well. I loved that about her. My second fav inner is Minako (Venus). For the outer soldiers, my favs are Michiru (Neptune) for her gracefulness and violin skills and Hotaru (Saturn) for her mysterious nature and destructive powers.

In the upcoming season of Nick's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, David Tenant will voice the character Dr. Honeycutt/the Fugitoid. I'm expecting there to be some Doctor Who Easter eggs. Wish I was a Doctor Who fan to the point where I'd actually notice them. ^^

Definitely looking forward to this...and the potential Koumi hinting. ^^
