  1. With the exception of Rie Fu and Junko, the other people I met by coincidence.
  2. Pay attention for the information. It's streaming through NicoNico, isn't it?
  3. Just realized that I didn't answer. I haven't met many people. Only a few. I'm a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan and I watch the show, collect things, etc. Doubt any here will know this person, but I met Ivy from Cowabunga Corner, which is an online webshow. I've also met Steve Conte. He's a singer and as has done work with Sakamoto Maaya. I've met Joshua Seth (does Tai's voice from Digimon). I was chosen to be part of his hypnotist show. I've met and have had dinner with Tristan MacAvery. He voiced Gendo in Neon Genesis Evangeleon. He's fun. I got a photo too. I've met Takeuchi Junko and actually had a conversation with her in Japanese. It was awesome! I played one of her songs (Gomamon's theme) and she was shocked that I knew about and had seen the Hunter x Hunter musicals she did. I was commending her on a great job and the energy she had portraying Gon (as she voiced him in the first series) onstage. She gave me her autograph. Some Naruto things. She was also surprised that I brought up HxH and Digimon Adventure/02/Frontier as opposed to Naruto like most others had. I've met Rie Fu. For those familiar with Bleach, she did the first ending theme. I was a fan of hers, though, before I knew of Bleach. I knew the song before the anime and was a fan prior to that. I've also imported her cds when in the states. i met her in NYC and she autographed my cd and took a photo. I'll share the photos later.
  4. 22:45 apparently, so sometime tonight after the marathon. I'm going to definitely pay attention.

    Oi.

One day I will watch the 2k11 version. I love the manga, yet the fact that it's a better adaptation hasn't drawn me in. Weird, eh?

    Oi.

Welcome to the site. Glad to have you aboard. Oh, which Hunter x Hunter anime do you like?
  7. I was raised the same way, so for me not showing or expressing appreciation to store clerks or staff is strange and is a habit I have yet to adopt. I still greet staff and strike up a convo occasionally.
  8. Howdy. Welcome to the board. Hope you enjoy it here. Everyone here is friendly and don't worry...we don't bite... *evil laugh*
  9. So I was frequenting another board and decided to ask this here. Have you ever met anyone famous? It could be an actor or even an Internet personality. So let's share. lol

    NEET?

I'm not Japanese, though. I'm from the US. ^^ I only work here. I think shut-ins aren't looked upon favorably here because they're not fully contributing to society. Otaku...seems to be a mixed bag, but that's my observation as an outsider looking in.

    NEET?

But people live with parents into adulthood as well. It's super common here and not looked down on at all. It's not like the US where it's generally considered to be embarrassing to be living with your parents over the age of 18, but given the tough times, that's been changing.
  12. No problem, and once again I do wholly apologize for causing you to feel that way. Oh and I'm from the US. I just work in Japan.
  13. No need to be so defensive. I'm sorry if you feel that I'm jumping on your case. Like I said, it's a pet peeve of mine when people complain about something that someone does for them that isn't even mandatory. I guess I overreacted?
  14. Then correct me. I said it sounds like, didn't state it as fact, meaning I wasn't sure.
  15. Who said I was? Was just curious. Ever tried learning? I didn't care for my father's lunches during summer vacation when in elementary school (mom and my grandma were better at it) so I learned to cook myself at about 6 or 7. I guess I just hate seeing people use harsh words towards those who do these thibgs for them when they really don't have to. Your mother prepares your meals. The words sound as if you don't appreciate what she's doing for you.
  16. Out of curiosity, do you offer to cook?
  17. I've only had Indian, Thai, and Japanese style curry. I like all three styles.
  18. I'm surprised to be honest. There are so many different styles and flavors.
  19. Last thing I ate was yakisoba. Last thing i drank was watermelon juice.

    Bowing

I think it's become so natural, I do it without thinking now. lol
  21. Depends on whether or not it can hold my interest. For example, I grew bored of Inuyasha about 100 eps in. I'm a Detective Conan fan, and yet, I grew bored about 600 eps in, but I still keep up with the movies and the manga. This goes for pretty much everything though. Short or long, as long as it keeps my attention, I should be fine.
  22. I find this interesting and I definitely want to see it. At least Toriyama will be more involved and maybe we can consider this a true sequel to DBZ, unlike DBGT. Doraemon has been airing on and off since the early 1970s (1973)....wouldn't consider it a reboot. The second series aired from 1979 - 2005. It then picked up again in 2005 and still airs to this day. There have also been about 35 or 36 movies released in theaters...so yeah, definitely not a rebooted series as it's always consistently been around since 1979.
  23. How about under the user name?
