I find this interesting and I definitely want to see it. At least Toriyama will be more involved and maybe we can consider this a true sequel to DBZ, unlike DBGT. Doraemon has been airing on and off since the early 1970s (1973)....wouldn't consider it a reboot. The second series aired from 1979 - 2005. It then picked up again in 2005 and still airs to this day. There have also been about 35 or 36 movies released in theaters...so yeah, definitely not a rebooted series as it's always consistently been around since 1979.

Bokura no Wargame is where I was starting from. I would consider it a crush. As a female myself, I wouldn't care what a male friend thought of me physically at that age. Now a guy I like, yeah. By the time of movie 2, they would've been 12 or so, or either going on it, it's plausible. That aside, I didn't mention love anywhere...crush yeah. lol

Nice and well-said, but the only issue is that we didn't get to see the older kids' interactions much. You know, like in a casual setting. Personally, I still feel it was a realistic approach if viewed in the following way... Sora liked Taichi Taichi didn't notice or acknowledge it and viewed Sora as one of the guys Sora slowly outgrew her crush on Taichi because he never noticed her as a girl Taichi finally started developing a crush on her (still feel that the Christmas ep showed this given Agumon's line) Sora had fallen for someone else (Yamato) unaware of Taichi's feelings The only thing I questioned was Yamato in all of this when originally watching. Wish the exchange would've been shown, but at the end of the day, it's just not that kind of show. lol

This is interesting but the example for kochira seems a bit off to me imo. Seems "kore" would've been more appropriate to use. Kochira, sochira, dochira, and achira or (kochi, sotchi,, dotchi, acchi [sp?] for short) is generally used for directions. For people Kore/Kono would be more appropriate. Edit: Forgot sore/sono/sochira

I've never read the others, but have read V-Tamers. It was good. The special was also interesting when V-Tamer Taichi met Daisuke.

It's still animation though. What about shows like the underrated Wait til your Father Gets Home or Mission Hill?

I don't care either way. In Japan there's no real distinction. Anime just means animation. If you go to a video store, you'll find American titles sorted under "アニメ". I just say a Japanese cartoon or an American one.

One day I'll play Mario 64 properly. Just like with Mario RPG at the time, it bugged me that Luigi wasn't a playable character in the game. I guess it's because I was spoiled by the cartoons where they worked together to help the Mushroom Kingdom safe so for me, when I hear "Mario Bros" I expect both.

Actually, my exposure to Mario was through the first NES game and yes, that's one of the cartoons you linked. There were three and a Legend of Zelda cartoon. Anyway, they originally aired from 1989 -1991 in syndication. Koopa's motivation was more defined too. No interest in Peach...he wanted her kingdom and also was money hungry. The cartoons also made me a fan of Toad, despite my wanting to throw him into the lava in SMB everytime he said, "Sorry our princess is in another castle". lol Sorry...blabbed on and on .^^

Yeah, suppose so. He'd also been sick these past few years from cancer and stuff, so that could be it too and speaking of music, I wonder if AiM is going to do any songs for the series. I really do hope so. Maybe either Moscow or Hong Kong. I didn't watch the video, only listened. ^^

In the twitter feed I saw on the Nade-nade thing, it said that "re-fly" is his new mini-album that was to come out March 25. Re-fly, of course is the main track for it. Wonder what the other tracks are. *goes to cdjapan*. Edit: Okay, I went to the cdjapan. The Tracklisting is... Hirari ~re-fly ver.~ Kaze ~re-fly ver.~ bravery Kibou no Kakera Butter-Fly re-fly I'm curious what Kaze sounds like. I've always liked the song. I wonder if bravery, Kibou no Kakera, or re-fly will be used in this series. Kaze was released during the Tamers' era and Hirari was used for Savers.

Miki from Marmalade Boy's anime (manga, she's okay) and Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi's anime. Miaka didn't know how to prioritize her relationships, imo. "All of my friends are hanging over a vat of acid with a rope that's about to break...oh no,Tamahome broke a nail! I must go help him!" This is how she came across to me. As for Miki, her insecurity over Yuu was very bothersome. "Oh no, Yuu is standing in line behind that girl at the supermarket and they're breathing the same air! What'll I do!" Why the anime did this to her is way beyond me. There were times (or a time) in the manga where she felt threatened, but not much and it wasn't blown out of proportion either. So yeah, these two definitely need to be slapped, imo. Miaka for having only Tamahome on her mind and Miki for being insecure to the point of ridiculousness.

Since I've been going back to Mario stuff lately (mainly the old cartoons....total nostalgia trip), I just started thinking about this. Favorite brother. Mario or Luigi and why? As a kid, I favored Luigi, but not necessarily because of the games, because Mario Bros 2 Luigi was nuts! lol Couldn't control him at all, but was the best to use, for me, when fighting against Wart....but anywho, back to Luigi. So yeah, I became a fan of Luigi because of the Super Mario Bros Super Show. I liked how he was the cautious brother who focus on what could go wrong, but had his moments where he'd join Mario and fight anyway despite his worries. For the old toons, you mention food, and Mario is all for helping. lol For Adventure of Super Mario Bros 3, Luigi went in disguise as a reptile to distract Kootie Pie (Wendy in the games; at the time the show as produced, the Koopa Kids didn't have names, so DiC had to make them up). That was brave. He actually kissed her twice to distract her and trick her into freeing everyone. Made me shudder as a kid....still does now as an adult...but yeah, he gets my vote for that alone. Oh and I like the gentle, loving side he has. In the game continuity, Luigi is supposedly close to Yoshi. In the show, he was like a parent to him. Mario, imo, has been overly exposed and that's why I started to get sick of Mario. When I got Mario RPG and realized Luigi wasn't even a playable character, I just started to dislike Mario...not hate...just dislike. So yeah, for me, it's Luigi. For one, he has an actual personality. Mario really doesn't (other than the cartoons, which I did like).

I've finally started playing Mario & Luigi Dream Team. I hadn't played an RPG Mario game since Super Mario RPG on the SNES back when that was out. lol I loved that game. I picked up Mario & Luigi Dream Team back in 2013, as it was the "Year of Luigi" and all and was the most recent game at the time. I put it on hold for all this time because of distractions. The game is nice so far...still miss some of the Mario RPG stuff though...but that's because that was a collab with Square Enix so I miss those elements. lol Other game I've been playing...Sonic Runners. Free iOS game. It's okay for what it is.

Hey, out of curiosity, do movies count? If I'm still in Japan and given my current situation, I should be, I plan to go see the upcoming Detective Conan movie next month.
