I could use my phone’s connection, due to having mobile hotspot, but I mostly do that in private settings. I would have preferred it if my phone notified me of your messages, but, sadly, I only get notified on my iPad. It goes back and forth between telling me nothing of Discord to suddenly notifying me.

Do you have wifi tethering, or a non broadcasting wifi connection. You can go into your routers acp to set it to broadcast breifly so you can connect easily, and set up tethering that way. Then just set your wifi signal to be non broadcasting.

I believe that it closer to wifi tethering. If I activate the mobile hotspot on my phone, I can connct to it wireless and use the Internet service I get for my phone, though not with battery penalties.

As for the nonbroadcasting, do you mean hiden SSIDs? I can probably do something like that it the phone settings, or on the network equipment here, but not for my 4G Internet access, as I cannot access the equipment providing that service.
