  1. That's really hard... however I'd have to go for Artoria Pendragon because nothing beats the King of Knights in all her majesty.
  2. I've only seen Death Note recently, currently re-watching it with my Brother and a Friend.
  3. Welcome to the Forum, what were your favourite anime from the 2000s to 2010s period? For some reason to say I've only just got into anime, most the stuff I've watched hails from that generation. No idea as to why.
  4. My brother watched it and he thinks it really good, its been on my to watch list for a few months now. So if his taste is anything to go off on then I bet you're in for a good time.
  5. Just finished Fate Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia. Overall I really enjoyed it, the fights were really good and the characters awesome - Gilgamesh certainly stole the whole show, alongside Merlin who was also damned enjoyable to watch either when he was being sincere or battering with Roman.

I also like Ushiwakamaru, her design in the anime was awesome, and her fights were some of my favourites in the show.

However Beast II looked awful. Not only was her design pretty 'spicy'  and in my opinion garish with colours and horns and wings. But the CGI looked awful when used for her. Gave me Stay Night Dragon flashbacks. But if that's the only downside I think that's alright.

  6. Neither did I, I was sure the entire place got wasted. And to be honest, I felt nothing. Like had that been the end of those characters it would have stirred no emotion in me.
  7. Two nights ago I watched and completed the Heaven Feel Trilogy. Spring Song, the one I'd been waiting to release in my region was amazing and the fights were on another level. So with that milestone out the way, I'm probably gonna try and finish up Samuari Champloo and get to the end of Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia, and also continue through Hunter x Hunter. Once Samuari and Babylonia are complete I'll likely look into getting a hold of Camalot films, second one comes out in May but no doubt only in Australia and America. Luckily we brits share the same region code with aussies for blueray. At least that's may game-plan going forward with Anime. Also anyone on here know when the Magia Record Second Season blueray might drop? I've got no idea.
  8. I made it to episode 15, and something did happen but the following episode it was back to more or less a slow paced episode and I was like I just don't care anymore. The music and the opening was good though.
  9. Nice list, not seen all the shows on there but you appreciate Fate/Zero and Fate Extra Last Record. So respect +
  10. I see a page of bookmarks, I'll screenshot it;
  11. Yeah, I wish I hadn't bought Witch Hunter Robin... I mean considering it came out alongside some right classics I was sure it was going to be good. But I'm over half way and it still so boring. I honestly dropped it.
  12. It might be you just need to copy and past the URL from your list's page. At least that how it set up on MAL
  13. Yeah I think the opening I saw was for the 2005 version, so the newer one. So I'm defiantly gonna give the show a watch at some point.
  14. This is insane, but Guyver is also on my plan to watch list. From the opening I saw online it looks pretty dope.
  15. You could try and use a VPN, Proton is a free one you can download. Just link yourself to one of the free VPNs and you should be able to repost on 4chan. Also welcome to the forums.
  16. Currently I'm at episode 19 of Samuari Champloo, so gonna try and finish that one in the next week. Also, I've finally got my hands of Spring Song and after some delivery shenanigans I've also got Prestel Flower and Lost Butterfly blue rays (I only had the DVDS before). I plan on marathoning the entire trilogy come this Friday. The anticipation I am feeling for this set of films right now. I can hardly wait.
  17. I've been meaning to watch Escaflowne and Beck for a while. But my to watch list is so packed right now.
  18. Well not sure what you have or haven't seen Anime wise. If your looking for a quality show such as Evangelion or Berserk (1997), you could try Monster. Super gripping series and adapted by Mad House back in 2004 (I think) from the Manga by Naoki Urasawa . Other than that could try something written by Gen Urobuchi as his stories tend to be darker and more 'realistic' similar to Berserk or Eva in that sense. The three shows written by him I would recommend are Madoka Magica (deconstruction of magical girls so not to dissimilar from Eva), Fate/Zero and Psycho Pass. If you've already sat down and given those a shot, you could got for something more niche and less talked about like Wolfs Rain or Blue Gender. Both of those shows are from the 'Adult Swim' era of Anime, but are well worth going back to. There's also Ergo Proxy, I think this one is a little more talked about, but if you haven't seen it yet it has defiantly got some 'Eva' vibes in there. Other than that there's always Hunter X Hunter or Legend of the Galactic Heroes. If you've not got round to those yet. Legend of the Galactic Heroes has two versions - the old 80s OVA series that's 110 episodes long or the new adaptation which is currently releasing the third season. As for HXH that getting another arc of some kind released down the road, but not to sure about that one. I do know its currently complete up to the Election Arc.
  19. Welcome to the forums, Science Fiction was how I also got into anime a few years back. I was already a huge science fiction nerd, starting with Doctor Who, Halo, Star Wars, Mass Effect, so when I first began my tentative steps into Anime was with Yamato and Legend of the Galactic Heroes: The New Thesis. At that point I didn't really consider myself a huge Anime fan, after all I'd watched like two shows. A year or so after that I tried some other action shows such as Psycho Pass, Fate Zero and also some more Science Fiction such as Ergo Proxy and Steins; Gate. What got you into anime, was it a slow gradual thing or have you been into it as long as you remember?
  20. Well I've not even started episode 1 yet... so if I were to try and watch One Piece I'd be way behind. I mean Hunter X Hunter to me seems a herculean effort - I've broken it down into its distinct arcs to give breathing room and allow me to watch other shows. But I just don't know if I'll ever have the patience to sit through 1000 episodes.
  21. So I can see Steins; Gate top right, Berserk below that at middle right (1997 is awesome - the ending still sticks with me), Toradora at middle left. Fate Unlimited Blade Works at bottom left, I prefer Zero ever so slightly but I'm a sucker for all Fate related anime and finally at bottom right I can see Claymore. A series I have not yet finished, but I enjoyed what I watched. Otherwise the other shows on the 3x3 are a mystery to me, I mean I can read the middle image says 'Noein' but I've never seen it till now. Also the one above that I've seen somewhere - but I can't place the name.
  22. Yeah, I own anime because I like a series and want to re-watch it. I've watched Fate/Zero four times completely. Two times on my own. I don't buy into streaming services, were ultimately paying for access to what's on the platform. I'm not a big fan of the whole service style, as whilst it makes anime very accessible they can make changes, remove shows you're watching ect. I had a really bad experience with Sky of all things, when I was watching Breaking Bad. I watched season 1 through 2 and then they removed it from the catalogue. At the time I didn't have Netflix, (not even sure if it was on there back a few years now) so I ended up having to wait a long time to watch seasons 3 to 5. Nowadays I mostly stick to physical releases for my anime/series that I like. Plus the issue with Monster is that it currently is sort of in a legal hell for who owns the rights to even stream it. I think Hulu had it last, a few years back. But no ones got it right now so there's no way to watch it legally. There is the entire series uploaded to YouTube of all places, both sub and dub so that's cool. And on a personal note, it not really my place to decide what should and shouldn't be promoted in terms of anime. I like what I like, and others on here like similar stuff and different stuff. So I'd recommend someone to watch Monster because personally I really like it. However I don't think it would be imperative for someone to watch that show or any show and no matter how much I might spend to promote it that's not going to guarantee someone's going to go watch it. After all for one thing Monster is a mature show, it not a show for say some of the people on this site because it is more adult themes and imagery throughout plus because it is a show geared towards a older audience it also might go over a younger individuals head. Again when they get older, that person might end up watching Monster and enjoy it then but in a younger mind set they might see it as long winded, talky and boring. A final critique of the purposed system would be what happened if a really notoriously bad anime (like Cypher) suddenly got an influx of super wealthy supports. Or just an average anime if were being less dramatic and the more likely outcome anyway. The system would fall apart because at this point it not about objective quality in the show but instead how much someone is willing to pay out to see there favourite show at the top. Again this system doesn't weed out subjective opinions it simply places a pay wall between sharing you're opinion/review on a show. Also currently I swear Gintama is doing really well on where it ranked on Mal. It at least in the top 10 on one list they've got up there. That's out of like all the anime on there database which is pretty extensive.
  23. Well I've spent the most money on... Fate. It was also the first anime I bought, Fate Zero which kickstarted my collection a year back. However my favourite anime is Monster but I mean tracking down a DVD of that show is next to impossible so 'how much one spends on an Anime' might not be indicative of how much they rate that anime.
  24. Me and Marathon watched it about a year ago, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I think if my memory holds up the film is very slow at the start, but I enjoyed the story as it got going and ramped up. But it been a while since I've last seen it and now that I've watched more anime it might not hold up as well as it did.
  25. I just decided to give Kill la Kill a try when I found out it was written and directed by the same guys who created Gurren Lagann. So currently at episode 11, also watched up to episode 12 of Samuari Champloo. And finally after what was probably over a year, after all the anticipation, Heaven Feel Spring Song has finally released in the UK. I will on the weekend finally be able to complete the Heaven Feel trilogy. Given that the first two were fantastic (in my opinion) I can't wait to see the conclusion.
