  1. Turns out I wasn't the only one, seam's there was a team doing a translation project. They released there's about two weeks ago. That's pretty cool, I'll provide the link about for you to check out.
  2. Just finished Paranoia Agent. That show had a surprising and surreal ending. It reminded me a little of Ergo Proxy.

It also shared some of the same faults, such as a few episodes that are a little filler feeling, not progressing the main mystery or narrative.

However the show did have a climatic ending, and the 'final twist' was satisfying.

I haven’t watched Ergo Proxy, but Paranoia Agent is my favorite Satoshi Kon work & a recommendation anytime someone asks for psychological anime series.

It was a very good show, I just feel the episode following those three characters was filler. The ending also seems to be something hotly debated.

I don't want to get into spoiler territory but it's interesting how that ending has so many theories attached too.

  3. @Mr.CopySmile22 welcome to the forums, everyone on here's pretty friendly so you shouldn't have a problem fitting in
  4. Cool, yeah hopefully it reads well. I only read it once after completion so yet me know if you stumble on any mistakes. After reading Garden of Avalon it's cool to see how it ties Fate Stay Night and Fate Grand Order. I won't ruin how.
  5. Monster, Fate Zero (I love all Fate, but Zero is undisputedly the best anime of the lot), Legend of the Galactic Heroes The New Thesis, Psycho Pass, Berserk, Steins Gate, Wolfs Rain, Ergo Proxy, Madoka Magica Rebellion (I liked the series too) and Made in the Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul (Bondrewd was a great dad).
  6. Yeah, I started a few months ago. Got frustrated and stopped, then I came back at it and well eventually a few days later I finished the book. I think most the chapters I had to use the audiobook to get the dialogue, and the expository 'thoughts' I used to structure the text. Some chapters had been thankfully completed due to other's efforts, but a lot were missing. This is by no ways the complete text, and certainly I was forced to make liberties, but I tried to stay true to the source wherever such liberties were taken. But I'll upload a copy for you to download, if It works.
  7. Yeah, I've seen those online but I can never trace English versions for the life of me. I complied a version of Garden of Avalon (pretty sure it was complete) and it took weeks of going all over the place from Steam Posts, random Light Novel translation sites and using a transcript from a audio book and bashing that with scenes form the Apocrypha and Fate Stay Night anime. The Frankenstein I ended up creating was surprisingly alright. Also I finished the OVA with English dub and ended up finding a better quality version of the OVA, so it now looking crisp at 1080p.
  8. Yeah, I not been able to get into Harem anime. I just find it too weird. At the end of the day I only need one Waifu and that is Saber-chan Yeah see I didn't know that
  9. I must be showing my youth... what's Urusei Yatsura?
  10. You watched Kokoro Connect too? And also thought it was terrible. I'm not alone. Also good scores, on the anime you've watched so far.
  11. I stumbled on a Fate OVA a few months back called Fate Prototype, it was only subbed and I never got round to watching it. A bit later I found a fan dub on an internet achieve - issue was the quality was messed up must have been 360p or lower, so again I didn't watch it. A while after that, won Arthur Pendragon on Fate Grand Order with a very lucky roll, and today found a clean version of the anime - 720p up on Youtube and decided to bash together a nicer looking 'dub'. The story whilst rushed was pretty interesting and got me thinking if it be cool if they made a full adaptation of it. Hell I'd settle for a 12 episode short series. It likely won't happen, as I bet the future of Fate adaptations are Fate Cosmos Babylonia and possible (here's hoping) a Fate: Fake Strange and possible Fate Hollowed Ataraxia however I still think a Prototype anime would be pretty cool.
  12. I'd always like to see a Fate Prototype fan dub, there one on internet achieve but the quality shot to hell and it breaks the plotting of scenes of the OVA. So that be cool. One benefit is it's only twelfth minutes long, so it not an horrendous herculean effort for a group of people to commit two. However there are quite a few characters, so that might be a problem.
  13. That's what I meant sorry, it wasn't that the arch was necassarily bad rather the execution the studio leadership choose was somthing most members of the cast and the production took fault with. I've only watched videos documenting the event, in those Doc's they give a good overview of the at time feeling of anime fans across various platforms; 4Chan and My Anime List are the most common were these comments came from. The amount of comments of anime fans losing there shit over Endless Eight was funny. Some of the comments are gold.
  14. To be honest, I don't entirely know if I have yet to see something from the year just gone... however I did here about a few of the issues in the wider industry due to remote working which caused production delays, some recap episodes and overall shorter seasons. Which is similar to Film or Gaming in that respect, all Media got royally screwed up due to Covid. However it's interesting to see which have been able to recover, some advance in terms of revenue and which have fallen on there face. And example of that would be Manga vs Comics. Manga despite Covid sticking global shipping seemed to actually thrive this year. Comics didn't. I attribute that more due to the pre-standing issues in that industry before Covid than Covid being the reason for its downfall. The pandemics didn't help but pedalling shit before, during and after lockdowns didn't help. Online stores such as Steam actually saw an uptick in revenue so I bet Anime streaming services likely also saw a boom due to lots of people stuck in there homes - which makes sense. A personal anecdote is that before the pandemic I had never discussed anime to anyone besides my brother and one other friend (the other friend briefly) and then after the pandemic (after I'd got more invested in the medium due to all the time I had on my hands) more people in general nerd culture were interested in anime and manga all of a sudden.
  15. That sounds right, I wonder what processed them to make endless eight. From what the dubbed voice actors said they had to do the same lines over and over again for each new episode. And they weren't allowed to deviate much from the script so I can only imagin the boredom of going to work to repeat what you did yesterday. It seemed nearly all involved believed the concept of Endless Eight was stupid. I usually buy the discs for shows I like. As for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I haven't watched it yet. I know of it, but I've only worked my way past episode six. I think I might just not be a huge SOL guy. For now Haruhi Suzumiya is on hold as I might come back and sit through it when my list clears up a little.
  16. Not sure if I'm right but I think you only need to watch three episodes of the endless eight arc to understand the plot. However I am not sure what episodes are relevant and which episodes can be skipped.
  17. @anime_lover_49 welcome to the forums, it seems to be getting more and more members each week since I've been here (about a month) so you're jumping in at the right time
  18. My plan next year is too finally watch Heaven Feel part 3. I've waited so long for the UK release. Other wise I'll just hit shows and films as they go.
  19. Just finished Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. I now realize why that show is considered a classic, man that was one fulfilling anime.

The ending was also perfectly done, all and all highly recommend if you haven't seen it.

  20. If you were to live with a Tsundere for a year I bet you'd regret those words.
  21. Lelouch was cool. I personally wouldn't rank him in my top ten but then again it's a competitive top ten... Johan Liebert, Shogo Makashima and my Waifu Saber are constantly wrestling for top spot. I really need to get around to finishing Code Geass Season 2. Because the first season was a solid eight out of ten experience.
  22. Yeah it good when you have a defiant cut off point. Knew a guy had the largest collection of video games in the UK. He had a cut off for what he considered his collection of games between the eighties and early two thousands so perhaps fourth to sixty generation consoles. Still tried to get a play station 5 at launch.
  23. Decided to start Paranoia Agent. Just got through the first volume. I didn't want anything to long as I'm still cracking through Full Metal with @MarathonGuy1337. We got 12 episodes to go. Must say I wasn't expecting Full Metal to live up to all the praise it receives by most anime fans. But I eat my own words because that might be one of the best shows I've watched.
  24. That's the issue with collections. You always end up saying... Just one more.
