I read a lot of books by Daniel Silva, he's my favorite Author and kind of the only books that keep my interest recently. I also read a few by Jeff Long here and there. These are mostly spy/mystery books or end of the world type books. When I'm not reading those I read a lot of books about World War II because I've always been really interested in that part of history.

So what anime has made you freak out in a bad way and given you a bad creepy feeling?

I really need a new psychological anime to watch I have watched almost all and recommend some except for Tomodachi game, lie eater , 20th century boys , Monster , Danganronpa , classroom of the elite , when they cry , promise neverland , no game no life , code geass and pluto

I have a MAL but forget to use it all of the time. A lot of the time I will browse Crunchyroll for new animes that I just have not seen or what looks interesting.

I just finished Frieren recently. While I agree with it being the best thing to air over the past 6 months, I have to feel it’s current ranking on MAL is overstating things. Probably like 10 years ago I watched an anime that was about a guy and a girl that really disliked each other, and their parents ended up getting married and they had to live together. They also fell in love with each other, but then the guy moved to America for I think college, and the girl chased after him, I think they ended up together. One of the characters may have been named Yui.. or Yuri.. I honestly can't remember I know it was a romance anime and I've been trying to find the name of it so I can watch it again, does anyone happen to know what this anime is?

My first real anime I watched in Japanese was Black Butler back when I went to my first anime club meeting back in high school and since then I created a list of animes. I also like to cosplay too, I cosplayed as Hilbert from Pokemon Black and White, Ame from Wolf Children, Kirito from Sword art Online, Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tale, An Inkling boy wearing a Squid Girl outfit from Splatoon, and I cosplayed as Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer, I am like 29 years old (an adult about to be 30 in 2024) and I am looking for people that are the same age as me that like to cosplay anime characters. It been awhile XD Finished Dragon Ball Absolutely brilliant can't wait for DBZ, naturally gutted about the more recent news in the DB circle all I can say on that is that Akira Toriyama was a legend and I'm totally gonna be playing Chrono Trigger. Up to episode 71 of Galaxy Express 999 A great show by the also unfortunately late Leiji Matsumoto Completed Star Wars Visions Yeah this wasn't the best probably just further prove that the best anime is made exclusively in Japan, it reminds me strongly of Halo Legends a jumbled messy that fails to be as good as other similar anime in the genre whilst also failing to feel and capture the sprite of the source material (not that Disney can do that either) Re-watched Toradora! Natural this show only gets better Watched Blue Submarine No. 6 This was a really good one that I randomly watched, highly recommend need to watch more GONZO shows. Watched Lunar Legend Tsukihime Really enjoyed this, kind of had some stilted animation, but a great story. Re-Watched Mobile Suit Gundam Origin I'm one of the biggest OG Gundam Fans in the World, We all know I enjoyed this rewatch. Re-Watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood This is a classic anime though the more I rewatch it the more tempted I am to watch the classic FMA Started watching Frieren: Beyond Journey's End This is a wonderful fantasy anime and very Tolkin in feeling Goblin Slayer Season 2 This one was also super good, I have to say their was a lot of strong fantasy anime this last season or 2. So glad we saw the return of Goblin Slayer Pluto I honestly didn't like this which was disappointing as I had high hopes for the show since it came from the same writer as Monster Finished Nadia The Secret of Blue Water Also just recently finished Nadia the Secret of Blue Water, it was so good I smashed though this show effortless and I didn't even skip the filler arch's which I actually (controversial opinion) enjoyed

I was actively watching the anime as it was on air and recently I started watching it again remembering it was quite fun but like damn,it has been almost 4 years since the last season,it's reviews was not bad,it was super popular then why no news for the new season guys? They are really sleeping on this anime.

i'd just like to apologise for some of my past responses to this thread. while i still stand by what i said, tha minors should not be sexualised in anime (or any media) my previous reasons were just stupid little things with nothing to back them up.

Words like the F-bomb should, in my opinion, not be said in T.V but okay with that in movies that are rated for it and you know you are watching movie that has swear words in it. Daytime television I view as being the prime target to family and children or teens and so I don't think there should be a lot of swearing there. Later night television I feel as if is more for adults or older people who are watching so the restrictions of words shouldn't be so much. I hear more swearing on television nowadays than I did as when I was younger. It could be just that now I watch shows or later television where it happens more. I am not someone who is so bothered by swearing to stop and think about it when I hear it in a television show or anime however.

I have liked season 1 of this series as a 6/10 if I were to rate it but the reason I did not finish watching season 2 and 3 yet was because I also was not sure how I feel about the season 1 or if I like it enough to continue watching it. On the one hand I thought perhaps will like it more if I finish all the seasons as some shows become more interesting in later seasons. I like the character Suzune the most in the show even she comes across as anti-social and stuck up but I feel a bit sorry for her. She seems to be a caring person but tries to hide this fact. I am actually not much a fan of the main character Kiyotaka because the personality of him I don't like very much, though I understand that he is lazy and appears unintelligent on purpose in the show I find the character boring and this is what makes me consider if I would continue with seasons 2 and 3. Somehow I feel since I started the anime I should finish the series and watch the remaining seasons to see if I feel different after finishing it all.

So there are two animes i saw a long long time ago that for the life of me i can't remember and wish i could remember. First Anime: This anime has a scene where a girl kills her mentally ill mother who was trying to take the life of the girl's younger brother (I think) as well as her own (Meaning the mother). If i remember correctly i think it showed it on the first episode and last episode but with the difference being that in the last episode, after the girl kills her mother, she breaks down and mourns the death of her mother atleast i think she was mourning. either that or she was overwhelmed by what she was forced to do to protect her brother. Second Anime: I can only remember one scene which i think was on the last episode. You see, the story is about a boy who's older sister and both his parents are dead (Which im 99% sure it was both his parents) and the one scene i remember is when he has one of those near death experiences if i remember correctly, where he is in some wacky plain/dimension of sorts i think and he sees his older sister as well as both his parents and they go to pass on and the boy tries to follow but they dont let him cause it wasnt his time yet despite how upset he was cause he didnt want to be alone anymore.

I've managed to finish binge watching all three series of Classroom of the Elite. When I first heard of this series back in 2017 or 18 I watched a couple of trailers and read a review or two and thought "pass, not interested". Then when series 3 came out this year and started generating a lot of interest on the Facebook anime pages I thought it might be worth a watch. So was it worth the watch? Short answer: perhaps! For a high school Slice of Life style anime it's nothing like any I'd seen before, I don't think any school has ever had such a high percentage of anti-social, stuck-up, pompous, nasty, scheming, sadistic and downright evil students. Then there's the school itself which has some strange rules and seems to be determined to set-up it's students for expulsion. I must admit that in the first two series the machinations of the various class factions to gain victory over each other in the weird tests the school set were interesting. However in the third series the seemingly endless 'special exams' the school kept setting were becoming a bit tedious and even verging on "monster of the week" territory. Overall: I found it an intriguing and different storyline with some interesting characters and interesting interactions between them. I can't say that I enjoyed watching the series, but I'm glad I did. Would I watch it again? Probably not, would I watch series 4 if/when it comes out? Maybe.

As a genuine question, I've noticed after being on the forums for a couple of months that, there isn't much activity when it comes to users interacting. I mean, we have activity spikes here and there, but I've noticed that the site has been more dead, and mostly the veteran users have been active. Newbies and just other users in general haven't been as active, and it leaves me to this question...what can WE do as a forum to get this site more out there to bring the family more together? And a question for the Veteran forum users, have you guys noticed the lack of activity on the forums? Or is it just me?

I'm not sure if it counts as non-anime, since it's slightly similar in aesthetic, but I recently started watching Avatar the last Airbender (the cartoon), and it's got me hooked fairly quickly

I came across a romance anime of this type years ago (I forgot its name) where the MC is literally you, the girl is breaking the 4th wall. I hope someone know the name of this genre, I looked and looked and couldn't find the genre name or any rom anime of this kind. Genre name ? And some sauces ?

I started to watch a new anime I found recently called 'Classroom of the Elite'. I believe it has 3 seasons and I have only watched so far the season 1 but I will continue to watch all of the seasons.

To each their own. All I know is I'm not the type to be cut out for optimism, but I can't speak for anyone else.
