So there's a lot of anime about people from the real world getting trapped in their favorite movies, shows, games, etcetera. If that happened with your favorite anime... Which one would it be? What would you do? Do you think you would survive? Do you take over for another character like in Pleasantville or would you just be added in unexpectedly like Last Action hero? Can you control it like the Neverending Story?

I'm new here. I was looking for a new place to chat about anime. I was on reddit, but reddit kinda sucks. I found this site on google. So, I thought I'd give it a try.

I am glad you all have a lot of examples of this because in my head when I thought about larger girls in anime only a couple already listed came to mind such as Honoka and Risley. There doesn't seem to be a vast amount of larger girls depicted in anime but that probably has a little bit to do with the fact that being smaller in most Asian cultures and focus on the physical appearance is even worse than in some other places in the West. Speaking to several Asian friends in countries such as Singapore, China and Korea, the pressure for girls to be around 100 pounds or even less is very desirable. It would be great to see more girls depicted this way in anime and look more the way healthy or real woman do look.

Way too many anime girls are super skinny. Like impossibly so. What thicc anime girls do you like?

So what anime are you watching at the moment? For me it's Psycho-Pass. I'm loving it so much! It's a Sci-Fi detective thriller but It's quite deep, alongside the depth and action of Ghost in the Shell. And Shakespeare, lots of references to English literature! How about you?

A few weeks back i saw an anime edit of a really crisp, high quality fighting anime and thought to find it. i had decided to wait to find it and i can no longer find that video. The comments of the video had said it was a short, maybe 5-6 episode fighting anime. All i remember from the edit is a 2v1 fight where the characters were being flung around, in a generally open space. Help finding this anime would be greatly appreciated.

Thought I would go ahead, and start this topic here in manga as we have one of these for anime so thought why not manga too. Here you can post what manga you are currently reading, or are reading next in your list. Minor dissolution about the series, or suggestions are also ok, but please keep spoilers on the lite side for those that do not want to be spoiled before reading a series. As for me at this time. I am reading Maddoka Magica after just finishing the anime. I have to say the manga is a bit better in my opinion despite being a manga created after the anime to my best understanding. That is not normally the case, but I am glad for it in this one. So what about you guys what are you reading. ^^

The anime is about a girl protagonist who goes to study at a prestigious school. If I'm not mistaken, 10 rich families own this school and their children wear earrings that identify which family each one is from, and each one has an assistant of the same age who accompanies them and who also wear an earring as a "link" between they. One of these young masters meets the protagonist while she works part-time at a hotel and makes her become his assistant by putting the earring on her. I really can't remember the name but I really wanted to watch it again, if anyone can remember I would really appreciate it

Does anyone know of an Anime game but a 2D version? In addition to being open world and mmorpg Is there no such thing? Why don't they make it? It could easily be in a web browser without downloading it I would easily walk (wasd) and explore places like these What do you think about this idea? Make your own anime character each server is the city of Japan to do various tests, challenges, goals to choose which school you want to go to, To work in the profession that suits you and you like. Interact with players. Each choice you and the other players make changes the story of your character and their character (i.e. they affect each other for more realism) Now what kind of game? What category do you like best? 1) For zombies - survival? 2) just realistic and relaxing 3) Science Fiction? 4) Athletic? etc although I believe they can all be done together in this game haha

Hello, I'm Suga, and I'm new here. I'm actually a real girl (TWAW life,) and I going to be starting a 4-yr degree program in AI and Data Science come the fall of this year. Also, I'm a hopeless, friendless coomer degenerate and I'm only trans online, and only ironically. A little bit about me: I'm a semi-skilled full-stack .NET web application developer, stuck in the same dead-end job since roughly 2015. I'm convinced that my current job hasn't really given me any significant skills or bragging rights to put on my resume and pursue a real job in Silicon Valley or New York or Shenzhen, so I'm going to be working on getting an actual university degree, and working intermittently on my own AI hobbies, such as language learning assistants, coding assistants, searching/scraping engines and waifu generators. These are long-term goals that I'll be playing with over 4 years or so. I plan on starting at least one fediverse social site of my own, soon; either a Mastodon or Misskey instance, and eventually putting some Stable Diffusion code snippets on a github account or similar. And I'll be spamming here if I feel comfy and welcome. I like E2EE groupchats like Matrix Element, and I am very fond of the unmoderated hatespeech side of the federated social web, such as poa.st, nicecrew digital, noauthority social, shitposter club and the rest. That is actually how I discovered the anime meme community, although I used to be a Kpop stan and took Chinese and Korean classes online many years ago. Also, my life is a bit of a trainwreck and always has been (due to an emotionally abusive upbringing and very poor health), so eventually I will start occasionally posting motivational content, summarized snippets from self-help books, workout resolutions and the like, either here or elsewhere. Hey so I want to have an open conversation about something I think people maybe overlook or try not to think to heavily about, which is what I did for a long time but recently I can’t anymore it’s like my mind unlocked info and now I can’t turn it off. We all know anime has a lot of fan service right? Well usually I can ignore it cause it’s usually just a high-school girl with big boobs and her panties are showing, stereotypical. I’m talking about the other issue. The sexualization of very young girls and or young looking girls. For example, I’m scrolling on a website to read a manga and I come across one with a girl in elementary school flashing her panties and I’m like what is this? I just ignore it but I do want to ask how is it so widely accepted? I know most people see it and go oh god but we also like don’t riot or try and take it down. It’s considered freedom of expression or the argument is “the author isn’t a pedo he likes anime lolis”. It got me to thinking though when manga artists who do draw sexualized anime girls( specifically very young ones) are they using a reference in their head? Do they have a reference of a real life little girl and use her to draw, or is it more they use reference of a made up adult but just makes them smaller in their head, or do they use other loli characters as reference so on and so fourth or do they make up the anime girl completely without any reference whether real or fake. I just couldn’t get it out of my head if they’re using real children as reference to draw whether they use fotos of images in their head of real kids they’ve seen. Even big time anime’s or mangakas will draw young girls flashing their non existent cleavage or showing panties, one good example is Shirō from no game no life. she’s literally 11 but so sexualized. It’s so prevalent in other shows and mangas and they tend to be created by men as well. I love anime and manga, I really do, but I just wanted to get opinions from other people who see this happening as well, how do you cope? Or are you also not coping well. Do you have any more knowledge and insight from artists who do draw loli characters? Are they not using real kids and reference. The problem here to is there will be artists who are creeps and do use real children, I guess I’m talking about the majority of the community that draws that kind of stuff, what do they use as reference if any. Thank you for listening to me ramble, I just feel like this is an important topic and want to talk to other people who either feel the same way I do or who have different opinions or thoughts. :)

So there are two animes i saw a long long time ago that for the life of me i can't remember and wish i could remember. First Anime: This anime has a scene where a girl kills her mentally ill mother who was trying to take the life of the girl's younger brother (I think) as well as her own (Meaning the mother). If i remember correctly i think it showed it on the first episode and last episode but with the difference being that in the last episode, after the girl kills her mother, she breaks down and mourns the death of her mother atleast i think she was mourning. either that or she was overwhelmed by what she was forced to do to protect her brother. Second Anime: I can only remember one scene which i think was on the last episode. You see, the story is about a boy who's older sister and both his parents are dead (Which im 99% sure it was both his parents) and the one scene i remember is when he has one of those near death experiences if i remember correctly, where he is in some wacky plain/dimension of sorts i think and he sees his older sister as well as both his parents and they go to pass on and the boy tries to follow but they dont let him cause it wasnt his time yet despite how upset he was cause he didnt want to be alone anymore.

I am a game developer and have recently had a disturbing conversation with some family members. It seems that they cannot make any distinction between CGI and hand-drawn animations. For example, I showed them game play footage of Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, and asked them if they could tell a difference in quality between that game and Studio Ghibli anime films. They could not. I tried to point out that in hand drawn animation, perspective is not perfectly preserved from frame to frame, whereas in CGI (ie. all video games) perspective is always perfect because it is a mathematically consistent simulation of 3d objects. They couldn't notice the difference. This was SO frustrating to me because I can feel a difference in the way the two things feel, VERY dramatically, and have a strong preference for hand-drawn animation. So I am wondering if most people are like my family and cannot even tell a difference??? I really hope not.

Created the character type called dual blade on Maple Story. I was playing a demon character. I have never tried this character type and wanted a change this time playing.

So this was bound to be asked sooner, or later right. I just wanted to talk a bit about what everyone likes best about anime cons in particular the ones you regularly go to. For me I like the room parties, panels, and just hanging out with new people. I have made a good amount of friends at cons throughout the years, and hoping to continue that trend. Hmm I havnt seen many older anime like that however my best guess would be: Wicked city Its not Gundam is it? The only anime that ive ever heard of where the goal was to declothe the enemy is AkibaStrip. Ikkitousen? Was the mc male? or female? is the 'Main girl' the mc? or side mc? What makes you say that the arena has any gravity affects? So this pink creature was it flying? How little of a kid are we talking like 4, 8, 12? I doubt there are any anime with that kind of premise, they dont want to glorify getting fat thats why there are dozens upon dozens about getting skinny or starting out fat and getting skinnier. Like a boxing ring? And can you explain what you mean by one is a mix of rook and knight? Is this show realistic or supernatural like is the not feeling pain a power?

I’m personally a huge fan of doctor who, a British sci-fi show about time travel. Cheesy? Yes. Melodramatic? A bit, yes. Amazing? Obviously!!!!
