Probably like 10 years ago I watched an anime that was about a guy and a girl that really disliked each other, and their parents ended up getting married and they had to live together. They also fell in love with each other, but then the guy moved to America for I think college, and the girl chased after him, I think they ended up together. One of the characters may have been named Yui.. or Yuri.. I honestly can't remember I know it was a romance anime and I've been trying to find the name of it so I can watch it again, does anyone happen to know what this anime is?

I was actively watching the anime as it was on air and recently I started watching it again remembering it was quite fun but like damn,it has been almost 4 years since the last season,it's reviews was not bad,it was super popular then why no news for the new season guys? They are really sleeping on this anime.

In this regard, I want to ask how much such an assistant is in demand? What video player do you use and why it is? Do you often have to deal with a video where a set of voices/subtitles is represented by external files lying in folders (Sound, Subs, etc.)? How do you watch such material (the player picks up, or move the selected paths to the root of the folder, or maybe pre -glue them in MKV)? Do you use the playlist’s function or open each series separately? Watch video material from the local disks of a computer or from network folders (for example, NAS storages)?

As a genuine question, I've noticed after being on the forums for a couple of months that, there isn't much activity when it comes to users interacting. I mean, we have activity spikes here and there, but I've noticed that the site has been more dead, and mostly the veteran users have been active. Newbies and just other users in general haven't been as active, and it leaves me to this question...what can WE do as a forum to get this site more out there to bring the family more together? And a question for the Veteran forum users, have you guys noticed the lack of activity on the forums? Or is it just me?

I can relate to that. My mother was often complaining about how much I spent on buying anime DVDs, merch and going to anime conventions. I pointed out to her that as I didn't smoke or drink my total monthly anime spend was far less than I'd spend in a month on cigarettes and visits to the pub. This muted her protests a bit, but the real issue was that anime was Japanese and she didn't like the Japanese.

I like to watch anime and be a fan, I have been watching anime for a long time, my first anime I watched was Sailor Moon and boy I was hooked on it and then there was Pokemon that tied in with the video games by Nintendo (The very same company that resurrected the gaming industry in America since 1985 with the Nintendo Entetainment System.) I find anime to be an amazing form of entertainment to enjoy and take me out of the insanity of reality. My first real anime I watched in Japanese was Black Butler back when I went to my first anime club meeting back in high school and since then I created a list of animes. I’m the original poster, I asked this question because I really was disgusted by a lot of anime/ more but more so manga and hentai anime depicting children in sexual scenarios. I think for me I can know it’s not really children, it’s not real fotos, but I often wonder if people who draw porn of small children in their manga, are they using real child porn as references, I don’t know,l??? will they ever admit to it? Idk do I think all use references of chile porn? no, do I think all mangakas who draw lolis are pedophiles, no. But im sure some are and it’s always itching at the back of my head if I’m seeing art inspired by child porn. It’s hard to avoid it, you Google an anime you like and loli art pops up, suggestions, I think for me my heart gets heavy everytime I think of is this based off a real child? Did they trace over a real child. Child porn in Japan wasn’t illegal till 1999 and illegal to own until 2014. You could go to a store and buy it in the shady section. I know not everyone who like lolis are pedos, but I know some are and considering how lax publishers are with publishing anyone’s work it’s disturbing I think people who make this type of art should be investigated and made sure they aren’t doing anything nefarious. If I could have it my way i wouldn’t ban it causing banning things makes things worse; at least at first I’d make the public image of loli unpalatable by exposing all the disgusting things it portrays and basically sometimes you need to shame people foe why they like. And then once it’s let’s “normal” to the public I’d ban it. In a perfect world. Basically I think background checks should be done for people who draw this type of pornography. Sexualization of children, even in manga should be taken more seriously. For me, maybe I’ve become more sensitive to it but even if I’m watching an anime I like that is relatively free of anything sexual or weird it’s always at the back of my head that I’m participating. I read a lot of books by Daniel Silva, he's my favorite Author and kind of the only books that keep my interest recently. I also read a few by Jeff Long here and there. These are mostly spy/mystery books or end of the world type books. When I'm not reading those I read a lot of books about World War II because I've always been really interested in that part of history.

Hello, I'm Suga, and I'm new here. I'm actually a real girl (TWAW life,) and I going to be starting a 4-yr degree program in AI and Data Science come the fall of this year. Also, I'm a hopeless, friendless coomer degenerate and I'm only trans online, and only ironically. I plan on starting at least one fediverse social site of my own, soon; either a Mastodon or Misskey instance, and eventually putting some Stable Diffusion code snippets on a github account or similar. And I'll be spamming here if I feel comfy and welcome. I like E2EE groupchats like Matrix Element, and I am very fond of the unmoderated hatespeech side of the federated social web, such as poa.st, nicecrew digital, noauthority social, shitposter club and the rest. That is actually how I discovered the anime meme community, although I used to be a Kpop stan and took Chinese and Korean classes online many years ago. Also, my life is a bit of a trainwreck and always has been (due to an emotionally abusive upbringing and very poor health), so eventually I will start occasionally posting motivational content, summarized snippets from self-help books, workout resolutions and the like, either here or elsewhere. I am a game developer and have recently had a disturbing conversation with some family members. It seems that they cannot make any distinction between CGI and hand-drawn animations. For example, I showed them game play footage of Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, and asked them if they could tell a difference in quality between that game and Studio Ghibli anime films. They could not. I tried to point out that in hand drawn animation, perspective is not perfectly preserved from frame to frame, whereas in CGI (ie. all video games) perspective is always perfect because it is a mathematically consistent simulation of 3d objects. They couldn't notice the difference. This was SO frustrating to me because I can feel a difference in the way the two things feel, VERY dramatically, and have a strong preference for hand-drawn animation. So I am wondering if most people are like my family and cannot even tell a difference??? I really hope not.

surprisingly my mom got into anime and manga because of the live action of one piece and yu yu hakusho. she really liked one piece and loved yu yu hakusho (the live action of course). any anime you would recommend for new watchers or/and with darker themes would probably what she would like. any help would be recommended. even if they are old show
