It was like close to 90 at some point today I think ~ it was really, really hot anyways & then yeah there was a tornado watch earlier. I think it was worse more North than I am because my sister had messaged me earlier saying they had a tornado warning and were in the basement x.x She's fine though, not sure about if there was any damage up there.

Thankfully no tornados here. It's been crazy hot instead. It's around 28c or 82f most of the day. I know this would be considered Winter for some like @Lucky but I consider this sweltering here.

There's a warning on my phone for the local area that says "extreme heat warning" starting tomorrow because the next few days are going to be 95-96 degrees so I won't be going outside :V

I don't blame you. It's 30C here now 🥵 and I'm not going anywhere.

Just realized I haven’t given a wildfire update!

It’s listed as under control and nearly out. They’re leaving the evacuation alert in effect for a bit longer and keeping the sprinklers on the houses for a bit longer too (though they haven’t turned on at all for more than a week now). The campground next to us did get evacuated due to slope instability, but the houses are just far enough away to not need to be evacuated. There have been rocks and trees falling, which some people in town were freaking out about (it’s loud, it echoes, but it’s natural and to be expected after the fire because everything is unstable). I actually haven’t heard any of it because I’m usually either at work or dead asleep when it happens lmfao.

So, we’re safe and all our stuff is unpacked and put away :)

Today it’s cloudy and might rain, currently 16C=60.8F

I'm glad to hear you are all safe now and able to unpack. That's great news.

It is now 90F and mostly sunny. (And muggy. Really, really muggy.)

Muggy, that's the word I was looking for. It's not just the high temp that's getting to me it's that it feels so close and oppressive. So muggy is a great word.

Thanks for the update. I'm really glad to hear that the wildfire is now listed as under control and nearly out, I'm even more glad to hear that you are all safe and well.
