It's been very bright and sunny today, but freezing cold.

I'm all for the snow but I'm definitely not really for the ice, that's when power outages and stuff are more likely to happen lol but it definitely seems like we will probably get something.

It's 29F/-2C here with a low of 22F/-5C overnight. 

The forecast is now calling for much more snow and ice than was anticipated. Initially they were saying 5-6 inches of snow, now that has changed to 10-14 inches of snow, with 1/2-1 inch of ice layering between it. 

This is what they are showing on our weather forecast. I'm not bothered by snow, it's nothing I'm not used to and Sakura is thrilled, but the rest of the city seems to be in chaos

This is basically like my dream come true when I start seeing numbers like this XD I mean yeah I could do without the ice too but the SNOW  I'm gonna go sledding and build snow people and snow angels and snowball fights and all the Winter fun stuff

If we had 5-6 inches of snow in the Greater London area it would seriously disrupt just about everything, 10-14 inches would shut down our railway network, airports and even close many minor roads.

Parts of the UK have had a lot of snow, but there's none where I am......   yet!

Yes it happpenedddddddd, I GOT THE SNOW  It's still coming down in huge gusts and I think it'll be doing that for most of the day, so I doubt I'll be able to go out actually IN it until it stops tomorrow

I'm positive I can build a snow people on the balcony just from the snow that's accumulated there now, but an attempt to do just that while ago made me almost slip and @Zeref made me come in and says I have to wait until it stops snowing to go out there  lol

Wow! Great snow photos. @Zeref has a lot of sense, do what he says and contain your enthusiasm until it stops snowing, then go out and have fun building snow people and doing all the other fun stuff. Even then take care because it's easy to slip and fall in the snow. We don't want to hear that you've fallen over and broken your arm or leg.

I'm told we had snow here last night, between 12 midnight and 20 past midnight but it was all gone by 1am. I didn't see it, I was asleep in bed.

 

This morning it was very cold and raining quite hard, thankfully the rain stopped by mid-day, but it's still cold.

Pretty! I'm glad you finally got your snow!  There's none here in Chicago but it's cold and it says we have snow forecasted for tomorrow.

I can't count how many times she's opened the balcony doors today and tried to go out there

There's so much snow on the ground, I actually feel as if I'm back home in Finland so I feel very happy with this. 

According to local weather meteorologist, we are still in for a lot more to come with already over 8 inches on the ground.

It's currently raining quite hard here in West London, further north in the country there's been some seriously heavy snow but none is expected here.

It's 28 degrees here but my weather app says there is strong winds making it feel like 11 Great.. Not the weather I hoped for on my first day back to college classes... Meaning I have to go out there in it. Later around 4, snow is gonna start here with around 2-3 inches so classes will probably be off or at home tomorrow since it's also calling for some ice.

About 6 inches of snow right now with another inch or two possible through the afternoon. Temps currently in the 20s (F) but predicting lows in the single digits for the rest of the week.

Yasss, I read more on Friday, and it doesn't look like anything is really going to melt with these temps so I'm looking forward to multiple snow days I just hope everyone out driving in it or having to go out stays safe and warm ~

WINDY!  So much wind!  Bits of rain and even snow too, even though temperatures are in the upper 60s.  Very strange weather.  Work sent out a text this morning for everyone to stay/go home today and plan to do the same tomorrow.  The weather people are saying it's the worst wind situation for SoCal in decades. 

Edit: and of course with the low humidity windy weather is fire weather
