Sakura
Is there anything you are really afraid of such as spiders, dogs, even chickens? (I actually saw a show once where someone had a huge phobia of chickens). Would you consider the fear so bad that it would be a phobia, such as just the sight of it scares you? I personally have a huge phobia of needles to the point that even getting a blood test makes me want to faint lol I've never been able to actually get over it either. What about fear of dying? Such as, in what way are you most scared to die? For me I think it would be drowning is my biggest fear when it comes to ways to die, even though I can think of much worse, it seems the most likely that could happen.
Guest
I guess the closest thing I have to a "phobia" would be public speaking. I hate being in the spotlight like that. My whole body gets tense, heart pounds in my chest like a war-drum, etc. etc. I avoid it like the plague that it is, as often as humanly possible. Since I left college, I haven't had to worry so much about it anymore, thankfully. If I'm prepared enough on what I'm speaking about, I can pull it off, but damn if I ain't a nervous wreck beforehand and during. Like you, I also have a deep hatred of needles (which is why I have no tattoos or piercings), but if I absolutely must get a shot or have blood work done, I can manage now better than I could when I was a kid. Back then, I would have screamed bloody murder at the sight of a syringe.

I forgot about public speaking, that's also something I have a fear of lol Even if it's just something in classes where you have to introduce yourself. I don't scream anymore, I just pretty much pass out XD
Sasuke
I have a little Claustrophobia, it's not so intense I can't go into smaller spaces when I need to, but I get a sense of I need to get out of this area / situation immediately and feel relieved when I have. In regards to death, I'm not afraid of any one way to die so much as is it going to be painful. Every time I get on a plane I have thoughts about the plane crashing and for me I think that would be my least preferred way to go in an accident. That and some Final Destination ways. Forever wary of large trucks carrying logs..

It depends on how high off of the ground I am, but no matter how high I am from ground level I'm always afraid of falling even though it'd only be like 1 or 2 feet off of the ground. lol I really don't even know when or where I developed that fear, but it's extremely inconvenient. >< I'm also afraid of drowning when it comes to being afraid of a particular way of dying. That's more because I've never learned how to swim though. I think I remember always panicking if my ears were below the water line which is kind of needed to just float on water from what I remember and all I know about panicking in water is it tends to make people sink faster. At least that's what I've been told. It makes sense to me though. lol I used to not be scared of heights, I wouldn't say I'm necessarily like, terrified of them or something now, but I don't really LIKE it either lol ~ maybe it comes with aging XD 2 hours ago, Sasuke said: I have a little Claustrophobia, it's not so intense I can't go into smaller spaces when I need to, but I get a sense of I need to get out of this area / situation immediately and feel relieved when I have. Zeref
I have a pretty strong fear of heights. If I'm standing on something that is solid such as the top of building looking out of a window I don't feel it but if I'm on the edge of a mountain with hiking or a bridge I feel it a lot. I also have a little fear of insects but only flying ones that are large lol Not ones like butterflies but the thought of flying cockroaches or moths I don't like and scare me a lot when they fly at me. Kikyou
Well my fears are simple severe weather storms, bees/hornets, people, being touched and orcas whales. Phobias are People im terrified of people due years of trauma mostly online of bad things happening to me. Im here to face my fear as my therapist told me to try as exposure therapy. That's why I dont really express myself here. So apologies I don't engage much with everyone im just nervous and scared in a way. Lastly being touched due to some personal reasons though I'm doing a lot better with allowing others to hug me.

Sarada
I hate water too @Zenki that is my single biggest fear. I had a similar incident when I was 7 when some kids in a pool held my head under water and now I don't like water over my head. I don't take showers because I don't like the feeling of the water over my head it's too much so I have to take baths. I don't swim or get in any body of water that I don't have to be in.

My fear of water comes from having a similar experience to you, when I went on my first swimming lesson with the school the teacher didn't like me hesitating to to get in so he threw me into the pool, which absolutely terrified me. I can't swim and I keep as far away from water as I can. I also don't like showers because I don't like water pouring over my head.

Sakura Dragon
I have a fear of spiders and a fear of flying on airplanes. Spiders are just terrifying and literally give me a chill when I see them. I always kill them if they are small. If they are sizable, I will ask someone else to kill it. Flying makes me very uneasy because I worry the plane will crash. Yes, I know the chances of that happening are quite low but there is still a possibility and that is more than enough for me to be afraid. I have seen nasty plane crashes and I can’t imagine what would go through my mind as the plane I am on is taking a nosedive into the ground ultimately killing me and everyone else. It’s just too horrifying of a possibility so, no thanks. Have a flown before? Yes, multiple times but only out of necessity but I now go out of my way to completely avoid it. It’s so scary knowing how many air accidents and failures have been happening recently. I have a trip in August and while flying would be faster, I am opting to drive the 20 hours. FidelityBoss
Oh man, I’d say anything to do with deep, dark ocean waterlike, not knowing what’s beneath you? Nope, nope, nope. Also, spiders. They just move way too fast for my comfort. What about you?
Colu Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Needles make me woozy to the point that anyone giving me a shot has to make sure it doesn’t come into my line of sight. Amazingly, I have a tattoo. Go figure lol And blood I’m generally okay with it, unless it’s my own blood then we have a problem hoo boy that is supposed to be on the INSIDE THANKYOUVERYMUCH Drowning and suffocation is also a big fear of mine, to the point that I can’t submerge my head underwater. I always wanted to be a mermaid when I was growing up, I think it’s because they can breathe underwater lmfao
