Sakura
I honestly move around a lot on platforms/public spaces because I have some social anxiety. If I am just sitting there waiting for the train or something I am probably fidgeting with something or bouncing my leg. I also find sometimes at night when I'm laying there thinking I'll notice I'm kinda bouncing my foot for no reason which I think is due to the overthinking and anxiety because that's when I notice it.
Animedragon
I have to admit that I often move around quite a bit on railway station platforms, but this is not because I'm on my phone it's because I'm a railway enthusiast and more often than not I'm only there to film the trains and it's necessary to change vantage point a few times during a visit. I also like looking around the stations because most of them are quite old and it's interesting to seek out evidence of past features and equipment that has been removed over time. One of the best things to find are the crests of the railway companies that originally built the station in the 19th or 20th centuries. (yeah, I know, I'm weird)
Zeref
Usually when I'm in the train or subway station I just sit down and stare at my phone with my headphones in because I don't want to make conversation with anyone if I am honest. There are some strange people down in the subways you don't want to make eye contact with they think it is an invite over
Animedragon
I can relate to that. There's some strange people on our trains as well. A few years back I was working in one of the parts of London that had a certain "reputation" and when walking along the road the rule was look straight ahead, note, but do not look at, anyone standing in doorways. To look at them, or even worse make eye contact was to invite serious trouble, especially in the darker winter evenings. The 'serious trouble' could be anything from a bit of verbal abuse to a knife in the ribs, I was very glad when my job moved me to another location. Zeref
I notice the strange people on the trains increases as the sun goes down. Why would people in doorways stab you for looking at them? Was this people doing illegal things or on something? The same could also be said here in some instances but not the verbal abuse or assault. Making eye contact with some of the strange people seems to bring them over to ask for money, cigarettes', or whatever else they want.
Animedragon
They'd stab you because they;re probably dealing in class A drugs, heroin, cocaine etc, which is illegal and they don't want witnesses. The drug gangs are dangerous people, although they're more likely to stab you look like a member of a rival gang. Knife crime is a serious problem in some parts of London, sadly several people have died as a result of being stabbed, mostly young people which is even sadder. Sakura
Oh god that sounds terrifying :0 Never actually seen anything like that down on the train or subway lines here, but then again, I never take them to the neighborhoods where that is likely to happen. Who knows what goes on down there x.x The weirdest thing that ever happened to me on the subway was some guy tried to pee on me It was just me and this guy in the subway car when he started taking his pants off in front of me and I had no idea what he was going to do. I just kinda yelled EXCUSE ME?!?! And he looked reallllyyy confused and apologized and walked off to the back of the car.. where.. he proceeded to pee there o_o Pretttty sure drugs were involved >_>
Animedragon
While there are a lot of bad things happening in London, it after all a big place, it's generally a safe place. I worked in central London for about 40 years and at one time my job required me to travel around quite a bit and I also visited several places in search of anime related merch and never really encountered any trouble. It's just a matter of being aware of where you are and what's happening around you.
Zeref
Feels like London is about the same as many big cities I have lived in. Things are expect to happen in large cities with crimes but overall the large cities I have lived in have been safe. You should always investigate where you are going and make sure you aren't ending up in a bad area of a city.
Animedragon
I think it's also important to remember that places that are perfectly safe in daylight can be very dangerous at night.

Zeref
Did you know that that ketchup was originally sold as medicine in ancient China as a fermented seafood sauce that physicians believed had medicinal properties?

The stuff having a medicinal origin doesn't surprise me, in my view it's horrible stuff, like most medicines. 5 hours ago, Sakura said: I know they probably ingested it but I'm just picturing people rubbing ketchup all over themselves screaming "HEALTH" lmaoooo Now that's a really messy image. 1
Zeref
People do bathe in tomato sauce for skunk stink and that is similar to rubbing ketchup all over you. The tomato sauce smell sticks to you for awhile so I would think that the ketchup smell would too for several days.
Sakura
God I think that would be so awful to smell lmao ~ Just skunk mixed with tomato sauce x.x Imagine if it was the middle of the Summer and humid too that would make it even worse

Zeref
Did you know that rats laugh when they are tickled? Rats have what appears to be a “laugh centre” in their midbrain that is activated when the animals are tickled or when they engage in play behaviours. Researchers first discovered that rats could laugh in 2016 after they found tickling the rodents on their belly and back sent them into fits of squeaky giggles. 1
Forlorn
I didn't think I'd be able to laugh today, but I nearly cracked up after reading that. lol So weird to learn. Dad's asleep, so I can't actually belt out my hearty laugh like usual, but that definitely made me want to laugh. XD

Zeref
I want to know this too. She should film a video so we can put it on AF.
Sakura
So my sister said she tickled her rats and they just kind of looked at her like "what are you doing bro" and didn't seem to like it too much but she did say they squeaked a lot so I say it is prolly true rats are ticklish. She also confirmed her rats squeak and make giggly like sounds quite often especially when you stand there and chat to them lol
Forlorn
I never would've thought rats even could giggle. It just never seemed like they were physically capable of something like that. Just goes to show though: don't judge a book by its cover, right?
