Sakura
I think Shark Week is a pretty well known thing in the USA. It first aired in 1988 and has aired every Summer for a week called Shark Week every since then and it's pretty heavily promoted by Discovery lol ~ I am in the Shark Week Discovery FB group and tonsss of people have Shark Week parties every year to celebrate the kick off of it I always love seeing all the shark themed stuff people get so this year I decided to finally have my own and we ordered some shark cupcakes and we are going to have pizza tomorrow night too and cover the living room in all my shark stuffed animals

Sakura
Gotta say the shark cupcakes were really good. We had pre-ordered some from the bakery that are strawberry with strawberry filling on the inside, and white icing on top that is colored to look like the blue ocean with lil plastic sharks on top ^^ 1

Animedragon
All this talk about shark cupcakes is making me want to eat a cupcake, or two. So when I go shopping next week I think I'll treat myself to some cupcakes, of course they won't be the genuine shark cupcakes, but I can always pretend they are. 1

Sounds like you could throw a bit of shark gummies on the top of a blue cupcake and have a pretty good version of it. Course it be lacking the filling but that part you can pretend on.

I am kinda a big fan of cupcakes too, at least the ones that have filling and stuff because I think they taste better. 1
Zeref
Did you know that sloths can hold their breath longer than dolphins? Sloths can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes by slowing their heart rate.
Sakura
Sloths look like they don't breathe anyways lolll
Animedragon
They're called sloths because they're loath to do anything at all.

Sakura
I always see little videos of sloths in the road and good people grabbing them and moving them out of the road, I think that's sweet, but I don't know if I would be inclined to grab a wild animal like that with claws as huge as a bears x.x
Animedragon
Apparently the general advice about picking up sloths is; don't even think about it. Sloths generally won't attack, but they will defend themselves and has already been mentioned they have large claws that are razor sharp and capable of inflicting a serious injury.
Zeref
I have noticed their large claws too and wondered why someone would think it would be a good idea for them to pick it up and move it. Would not the best thing to do if you find one in the road be to call an animal control unit?
Animedragon
I would agree that it's probably better to get someone who knows how to safely handle sloths rather than risk injury by doing it yourself. Something else I found out about sloths is that they harbour a bacteria which is extremely toxic to humans. It would appear that sloths are animals that are best left alone. 1

So they have like, 15 inch claws to maul you with AND can poison you with toxic stuff They lure you in with the cute faces! I had honestly never heard they have toxic bacteria so I learned today. Okay but like it seems all or most of extremely dangerous animals that you just want to pick up and give a cuddle like this are really cute. Grizzly bears for example look like they should be friends but will eat you AND your friends

Sakura
Sir I believe you are asking me to get ate by a grizzly bear and I donT APPRECIATE YOUR TONE ~smacks with stick~ Here I will drop a random fact on you: In the 1960s and 70s, the Swiss Air Force pelted the countryside with severed chicken heads all over the forests of Switzerland from helicopters. The chicken heads contained the rabies vaccine, and the airdrop was to vaccinate wild foxes against rabies.

Now that has to be one of the most ingenious, and bizarre, things I've heard of.
Zeref
Seems like it worked. For what I read after looking it up they had a severe rabies outbreak due to the foxes in the areas spreading it and this stopped it in its tracks. 1

Zeref
In 2017, scientists at Queen Mary University of London taught 50 buff-tailed bumblebees to play a basic version of single-player football. It was taught and rewarded as follows: Goal: Push a bee-sized ball into a goal area in the center of a circle. Reward: Receive a sugary food treat. So we've managed to show that bees can play football. Sort of. It showed that they can learn to move a small ball to a goal to gain a sugary reward.

I didn't know bees could do that That's pretty cool!
