We have the cities main branch of library across the street from our building and this is a good reason to get over there, find some books on King Arthur, and explore the lore :)

I want to go back over there too, I really love that library. It's this really old building that's 3 stories tall, has beautifullll architecture, and it's so large it takes up the entire city block. There's even a waterfall in there ;O

The water fall inside of it is very nice. It empties into a small koi fish pond that has a small stream that runs around part of the library. I was amazed when I went in and I want to explore other parts of the library because I have only seen the first floor and main lobby.

I love anything to do with fish so I love the lil koi pond/stream lol I always kind of wanted a koi pond but I imagine they would be pretty expensive to maintain and have built and all that.

Years ago my father had a great idea that he wanted a pond in the garden and after several visits to the local garden centre to research the matter of building garden ponds, he and a friend created a raised area in which to put the pond (the earth in the garden is really hard so it's easier to build up than excavate). When finished the pond looked really nice with its small fountain and such like.  It's not large enough to have fish in, which is a good thing because when the autumn came we realised that putting a pond under the branches of a tree was not a good idea as it soon filled up with dead leaves, and rotting windfall apples*, I tend to regard it more as a bio-hazard than a pond. Every couple of years in the summer I get enthusiastic and clean it out, but it's a waste of time as it soon clogs up again. 😡

* The apple trees were another of my father's great garden ideas that didn't quite work out as intended!

I always really wanted something like that in a yard if I ever bought a house but I never really thought about how annoying the upkeep of it would be and I would probably be entirely unmotivated to do any of it so probably best I don't do that after all ~ I bet having apple trees is nice though when they are in season, right? I used to love to go apple picking and get fresh apples lol

That was my father's idea. Unfortunately the apples are all very small and not nice to eat. My mother tried using them to make apple pie, which did taste nice, but she had to peel and core so many apples to get enough to make the pie it just wasn't worth the effort.

Were they crab apples? We used to have crab apples on our farm and I remember having to go out and pick them all up because horses can't eat them in large quantities and they also taste really, really bitter, and look like small apples. I've heard they taste really good in a crab apple pie though and much different than the normal taste they have.

I don't think they're crab apples, they were advertised as being large juicy eating apples, but they do fit your description.

I wonder why they turned out so small then lol ~ I hated crab apples. I'm not even sure if you are really supposed to eat them or not but I've tasted them before and spit it right back out xD We had way better things to eat anyways since there were always blueberry & blackberry bushes everywhere, not to mention the garden my mom always had every year where you could just run out around to and grab a bunch of cherry tomatoes or something for a snack and keep playing without having to go inside lol

Probably a combination of a misleading photograph and an over optimistic father. 🙂

That sounds great.  My mother always grew runner beans but wondered why there were never any below two feet above the ground.  We found out that our dog liked raw runner beans and grabbed and ate any that she could reach.

All we could eat on the ground in Finland was snow..

I used to love snow ice cream though lol ~ I don't know if I would make it anymore with all the pollution in the air nowadays, even with deep snow.. but back when I was a kid that was one of the best things about Winter.

OMG ALL WE NEEDED WAS TINFOIL!!! So maybe if you wrap all the Tupperware in tin foil the aliens won't be able to find it and the planet will be saved from the Tupperware aliens 😭

Yes 😱 They have been after the Tupperware all along, where have you been? The Tupperware is why the aliens plan on taking over the Earth,

I can never find half of our tupperware either and especially the lids. Are they taking it? Is that where it disappears too when you can't find it? 😵‍💫

If I remember right @efaardvarkfigured out that aliens are indeed after Tupperware before, so if your Tupperware lids are missing, the only logical conclusion is aliens. There is no other explanation.

It all makes sense now okay, aliens break into our houses while we sleep and take the lids for plastic bowls and containers which is why we can never find them 😮
