A lot of people seem to chat in these Chat sections and forum games sections, it's a good place to get to know people or just sending someone a direct message, I think you'll find most people are up for a chat here :)

I'm feeling both happy and sad at the moment. Happy because it was our Carols by Candlelight service this evening, and sad because after being with us for the last 10 years it was our minister's last service as he's now retiring.

Photo of the carol service below.

Just in case anyone is wondering, there's about 190 candles in 11 specially made candelabra. I know this because preparing the candelabra and setting them out is the responsibility of me and my team of helpers.

Thank you. I always think the church looks really special on carol service evening. We don't "do" candles they're just not part of our tradition, but when we do do them we do them in a BIG way 🙂

It was built in 1935, so next year is our 90th Anniversary.

How long did it take to set up and light all of those candles?

I thought mom yelling was what woke me up, but now I'm not so sure because it sounded like both of my parents were arguing and getting fairly loud when doing so... annnnd I'm upstairs and there's no arguing... I must be losing what's left of my damned mind. Aside from that, I'm feeling paranoid and suspicious now that they might be trying to hide it from me... sooo... I have no idea what to do.

|I hope this goes well and you have a great time celebrating the mass together.

Yes were are all sad to see our minister leave us, and we're now starting the process of finding our next minister.

It took the three of us just over an hour to put all the candles in the candelabra, about 45 minutes after the morning service for us to carry them into the church and set them out, they are seriously heavy! It took two people, we only had to gas lighters, 45 minutes to light them all up. They've all now been removed from the church so that the building is clear and tidy for the Christmas morning service on Wednesday.

I love older churches like that, the inside always looks so cool.

I feel alright today, not happy, not sad, just a little meh and not sure why.
