  4. Greetings, all. Would our PC gamers like to share what their favorite mods are on Skyrim? Graphics, lore, side quests, anything; what does your mod list look like? I'm about to play Skyrim again, but unlike all the others play-throughs, I want to mod this one. I've been playing vanilla these past several years, and want to tinker with mods for Ultimate Edition. I want to utilize every single resource my computer can squeeze out for graphics, and I'd like to install swords and weapons not found in the vanilla game. What mods are you guys using? What about the PS4 and XB, there are mods for the consoles as well, right?

  7. GOAT? There are certainly some masterpieces that I have rated as such. Some would have to say Death Note, as it is just as popular today as it ever was, whereas some other once hyped anime have since lost their sheen (looking at you Naruto) I would say Vinland Saga is a contender. Though many would shoot this down for it not being a traditional style anime, as it has very little connection to the beloved culture many anime lovers grow to love, and though it has some shounen aspects here and there, certainly doesnt appeal overall in that very dominant genre. Regardless, its a masterfully done anime with a well developed story and doesnt have any adaptation problems so far. Its been worked on by Wit studios, and their animators show their experience in the set up of the dramatic action scenes as well as the top tier op and eds.

  8. I definitely have Vinland Saga as my #1 for the year, then Shield Hero, and then Demon Slayer.. Just so you know you're not alone in your thinking. Askellad was a treasure in this series, and I do believe he was the MC of this arc, not Thotfinn, although later on in the series, I believe Thorfinn will have a more central and impactful role. I cant wait to see what the true meaning of "Vinland Saga" really is.

  9. My knowledge of anime is not so much a matter of passion as watching it longer than a lot of folks here gave been alive and not having a social life Even so, there are a number of well known series I haven’t seen or finished (watched Madoka for the first time just months ago). I’ve been fascinated with animation (not just anime) for as long as I can remember though.

  15. I think, as far as I understood you, this could also tie in, or rather is directly related with the prominent 'elitism' in the anime community. While anyone can say that someone else's fav. show is trash or what not, there definitely are very, very hardcore elitists who seem to be on a quest to desperately find the anime that they can say is perfect in every whatsoever (whatever that's supposed to mean...) while they try 'enlighten' everyone that everything else is trash. They're usually not that hypocritical because they are pretty clear on what they think is 'objectively good' animation, characters, story, etc... and are usually fairly consistent about it, however I think their premise, that they, through whatever divine intervention, know what is good and what is not, is simply fallacious. While the idea of discussing anime and somehow deducing what can be considered good (not what people have to like but of what we can say that it has good writing and what not) is important, these elitists seem to have done that by themselves rather than as part of the community and just split the community unnecessarily.

  16. Just finished episode 24. This series was an absolute masterpiece, so much so that I’m actually reconsidering what my #1 for the year will be. As great as Kimetsu no Yaiba was, there were times it irritated me. At one point it was even questionable whether I would finish it. Vinland Saga has been a quality piece of work from the beginning. The only possible criticisms I might have are it’s certainly not a “feel good” story & the supposed MC isn’t really likable. Though a lot if that can be attributed to him still being a “stupid kid” as Askeladd puts it. It is still possible he may learn from his past mistakes. Which brings up the point that the past 24 episodes have apparently just been a “prologue” as the final episode’s title implies. Along with some of the cryptic final scenes, I have hope for a 2nd season. I don’t mind if it takes awhile just so they continue to do a quality job.
