A good series, but I would have liked one more season with Yumi as Rosa Chinensis.

've just finished watching K-ON! On the face of it a slice of life show about five girls who are members of a high school music club doesn't seem that interesting, but the way the various character's differing personalities interact with each other make the whole more than the sum of its parts. Add in the excellent animation and HTT's music, even if the lyrics are plain weird*, and you've got a series that's great fun to watch. The movie was good fun too, and as someone who spent most of their working life in London I recognised many of the places the girls visited. Their trip from the Ibis London City to the Ibis Earls Court was interesting, Aldgate East station is the nearest one to the Ibis London City, but as they ended up in Camden Town they seriously got the wrong train and went in the wrong direction, but if Yui was navigating that probably explains it. * Having said their lyrics were weird, I would like to point out that U&I and the groups final song for Azusa had great lyrics.

Thank you for sharing "Kokia - Honto no oto", a beautiful song with lyrics that are full of meaning.

Probably one of the most famous songs in anime:

A bit odd about the picture rotation. I've had that happen to me a couple of times, I think it's something to do with the graphics editor not saving the rotated image properly. At a guess I'd say there's something in the image file that tells the image viewer which way to display the image and that piece of information is not being correctly saved. But that's only a guess, I'm not a graphic artist or graphic designer.

937 episodes!!! Erk! I wouldn't even start watching a series with that many.

Haibane Renmei is a good series, I've lost count of how many time I've watched it since the DVDs were released. But it still leaves me with unanswered questions though. I think that you need to rotate the pictures before you upload them.

Today I am mildly annoyed! Having spent a lot of time over the past couple of weeks repairing the storm damage to the rose arch in my back garden. This morning I look out and see that the high winds are back and trying their best to wreck my rose arch again!!!

Ah yes, "Catch You Catch Me" and "Moonlight Legend" another two songs that are on my favourites list.

My favourite anime song varies from time to time, but one of my favourites is the ending of Starship Operators. "Chi ni Kaeru ~on the Earth~" by Kotoko.

What do I do at weekends? Sunday morning I go to church. But being retired means that for me there's really no difference between weekends and weekdays. Covid put an end to several of the things I used to do, but there's still my hobbies and housework to keep me busy, ans hopefully out of mischief.

I'm currently watching K-ON! Which is great fun. I think if I'd had a teacher like that and an after school club where I could drink tea and eat cake I just might have enjoyed school a bit more.

I don't actually hide the fact that I like anime but it just never seems to come up in conversations with my friends. I don't think many of them have heard the term or know what it is although a couple of my friends do know I watch what they call "those Japanese videos" but they never ask questions about them. At our Zoom social meeting during one of the lockdowns one of the subjects for discussion was a favourite film, I choose "The Place Promised in our Early Days" but no one asked about it or commented and the discussion just moved swiftly on to the more well known Hollywood blockbusters.

Welcome aboard, nice to have you with us.

I'll agree with that one. Other things that annoy me: People who end everything they say with a question mark.. Such as: "My mate gave me a lift into town, wasn't that nice?" but I'm especially annoyed by people who end everything they say with "init?". Finally, I really don't like being interrupted when I'm concentrating on doing something, especially if I'm watching anime.

I've now finished re-watching Golden Time, its one of those series that is definitely better second, or third, time round as the story takes a while to get going. It has a good cast of characters and an interesting storyline that explores the question of memory and identity.

There's nothing silly about collecting dragons, it sounds very sensible to me. I have a small collection but none as impressive as the one in the link you shared.

I would like an anime recommendation!
Animedragon replied to Greeneyes's question in Recommendations
There's some good choices there. But are you serious about recommending Kokoro Connect? Which is surely a contender for the title of worse anime series ever made. -
I can't actually remember what was the first manga I read, it was a long time ago, but I suspect it was either 3x3 Eyes or Appleseed.

Ah, M*A*S*H that's one of my favourite shows as well. The whole cast are just such brilliant actors and really bring their characters to life. I love the way the series manages to be both funny and yet still show the horror and tragedy of warfare in a serious and sensitive way.

I'm with you on that Peachtea, I also have a lot of other things that require my attention although generally I manage to watch 5-6 episodes a day. I manage to do this by doing my anime watching while I have my lunch and dinner, I like to have something to watch while eating and there's so much rubbish on TV at lunchtime and dinnertime, so I'm usually able to fit 2 or 3 episodes in during each meal. There some advantages to living on your own. Although there are also some disadvantages!

It's bright and sunny, but the warm weather of last week seems to have gone away. It's currently 2 degrees C and not expected to get much about 8C
